Blubba_Pinecone Posted May 19, 2011 Posted May 19, 2011 miles, if you want, I could set up a live stream to show you... it's a bit of a nuisance to get down... the trick if you have to wait to 44 until the other character passes over you, so that it's actually a 66, then once you past them underneath, you 6a back the other way
milesw Posted May 19, 2011 Posted May 19, 2011 (edited) PSN isn't up over there or you have to buy Makoto? Either way the timing should be 2C then 214a~d asap > 44 which should cause you to run (if not then slow down) then 6A which should hit the opponent and if it whiff then just adjust the timing. Well here Im using a wired connection and my ps3 wont connect to the net I dunno if its the PSN maintenance or actually my connection not allowing my ps3 to connect. I get error 80710102. And Im using the US copy of BB. Its so frustrating I just want training mode so I can just practice this link lol In the arcade I sit on arcade and I just get 'here comes a new challenger'. In those matches I just go for the basic xxxxLigtning arrow>2C>2D>2C>214b-b>jc>jd> orb combo And it sucks knowing theres something more damaging I could use. 214a-d asap Maybe this is what im missing.. If anything I thought I should delay it more. miles, if you want, I could set up a live stream to show you... it's a bit of a nuisance to get down... the trick if you have to wait to 44 until the other character passes over you, so that it's actually a 66, then once you past them underneath, you 6a back the other way Thanks dude I appreciate it but the time difference is too crazy so dont worry about it. Its 14.23 atm There are also times when you dont have to dash back and they land in front of you is this timing specific too, dependant on what starter you use or is it character specific? Thanks guys. Edited May 19, 2011 by milesw
Blubba_Pinecone Posted May 19, 2011 Posted May 19, 2011 haha yeah the time zones are a bit off. although, i did just finish up the last semester of college and have no job, so time ain't too much an issue. that's why i've been posting so much over the last few days. xD but if the timezones are still too far off for ya and you still want to see, i could just whip up a simple lil' video. it'll prolly help a number of people who're trying to figure it out anyways...
milesw Posted May 19, 2011 Posted May 19, 2011 Atm I'm just sitting at home thinking about where I should go... Making a video on it seems real hard though. But go for it bro!
Ronove Posted May 19, 2011 Posted May 19, 2011 (edited) Have you considered asking the Makoto players at the local arcade? I am sure they could give you a couple of pointers regarding the execution There are also times when you dont have to dash back and they land in front of you is this timing specific too, dependant on what starter you use or is it character specific? This depends on the timing of your 214A~D mostly, as it also affects the distance and height at which the opponent bounces. Edited May 19, 2011 by Ronove

Ronove Posted May 19, 2011 Posted May 19, 2011 Lol Im too stuck up for that. Haha come on! If I were in your shoes I'd be pestering them with questions all the time, hehe. How's the atmosphere there? You're going at KO-HATSU right? I can't recall if Tsujikawa hangs around there but he's not the only Makoto player you can ask tips and tricks, heh
Crosell Posted May 19, 2011 Posted May 19, 2011 milesw thinks hes the shit because he plays in Japanese arcades. :3
milesw Posted May 19, 2011 Posted May 19, 2011 looool Trust me I eventualy will I just arrived a week ago so I guess I'm still shy. Nah Tsujikawa doesnt go kohatsu he goes to Acho( I would definitely run up on him *_* ). The only Makoto player I saw was tenchi that Beast red Hakumen player trying his hand out on Makoto for the first time. I also go to Taito station and Sega Avion. The atmosphere is cool there though. Its typically a dude in a suit with a cig in his mouth blowing up people. Or you got people like me trying to practice combos on arcade mode till someone comes and challengers you so you gotta fight for your coin! lool People dont usually ask to come one you're expected to notice someon waiting and take yourself off once you lose. Took me a while to notice...
milesw Posted May 19, 2011 Posted May 19, 2011 milesw thinks hes the shit because he plays in Japanese arcades. :3 I WILL come back a god :3 I just want my damn ps3 to run cs2 >.>
Ronove Posted May 19, 2011 Posted May 19, 2011 I see, that means Tsujikawa is likely a Kyoto-based player then. For some reason I thought he was from Osaka area. :o I WILL come back a god :3 I just want my damn ps3 to run cs2 >.> *coughgeta360cough*
Haiku Posted May 19, 2011 Posted May 19, 2011 (edited) Makoto is fun I love her rushdown style but whats with the tail... Whos a good player I want to watch High level Makoto action Edited May 19, 2011 by Haiku
HIGEKING42 Posted May 19, 2011 Posted May 19, 2011 i can't seem to fet 214A-b jc jd off consistantly i keep either whiffing or missing the timing all together. This is in the corner do i have to delay it or something else.
RoK the Reaper Posted May 19, 2011 Posted May 19, 2011 (edited) Hey, been getting some combos and I want to contribute one of mine, I do not know if this is common knowledge already, but here's an anti-air combos that works with something you already have. Anti-Air CH 6A> delayed dash 5B>6A>j.B, j.C >delayed 623C whiff the follow up D >5B>6A> j.B, j.C > dj.B, dj.C >623C~D (Lvl. 3) Does 2330 damage and builds 28% meter. Also, what's the strongest combo someone has done in the corner with 2A with no meter? So far, I've gotten up to 3730 DMG. Edited May 19, 2011 by RoK the Reaper
Nini Heart Posted May 19, 2011 Posted May 19, 2011 Tsujikawa, Goro, Isa are the top JP Makotos. Look em up on youtube There's also Omnisscythe if you wanna see some top US makoto play.
HIGEKING42 Posted May 19, 2011 Posted May 19, 2011 ok i said that wrong anyway i can't do land the 2366a after that jd i don't know if i'm too high or what
milesw Posted May 19, 2011 Posted May 19, 2011 Do the j.b as low to the ground as possible and jump cancel into the j.d as soon as possible and when you're landing input 2366a.

OmniSScythe Posted May 19, 2011 Posted May 19, 2011 Ronove beat me to it, also do anyone happen to know the name of a Makoto player that uses the green hair tan skinned pallet?
St1ckBuG Posted May 19, 2011 Posted May 19, 2011 Is there any garunteed way to set up double super ender so that you don't have to input the PF 'backward'? I think every ender I've seen to far puts you too close to the wall, so they bounce back over you during BBS. Just curious. Ronove beat me to it, also do anyone happen to know the name of a Makoto player that uses the green hair tan skinned pallet? I heard that was Daigo.

Another one which I haven't fully tested it 6C > BBS after j.D. I heard that was Daigo. He's coming for us as well?!
St1ckBuG Posted May 19, 2011 Posted May 19, 2011 Delay the jB, start inputting 236 as you're falling, and then input 6~A as soon as you land.

I think every ender I've seen to far puts you too close to the wall, so they bounce back over you during BBS. Just curious. I use the 2-hit BBS > PF 100 meter ender (about 2.5k guaranteed) and it doesn't reverse sides and is really easy to do surprisingly. Just after 2366A~D hold back and walk back for a bit and 6A BBS before they hit the ground. Both hits of BBS should hit and you'll have enough time to hit with PF. If the 6A was too low or if there's already too much hitstun proration then make sure the first hit of PF is level 2. Edit: Oh wait, already replied to Edited May 19, 2011 by Exciel
