I have no idea where to start on learning pressure with Mu. Combos aren't a problem anymore or hit confirms (I'm getting better at that). Can someone help? I don't like being free as a bird. :(

These are my options mostly. It's not airtight and some parts you can get mashed out of, but its also full of frame traps, and both 6a CH 2b (whiff) 2c and 2c CH 5c whiff are excellent hitconfirms for these traps. Some are particularly weak against some characters, so you just have to figure out what works for you (ex: 6c 214d against platinum will make you eat a heart car). It's working out pretty well for me so far, at first it wasn't as great but recently I've been able to tell how many times I can dash 2a after a blocked 2b to make my opponent eat 2b 2c frame traps :D

start with dash in 2a 6a 2b

then you can go into these as many times as you feel like risking it

2b

dash 2a 6a 2b...

3c IAD crossup j.C

2c 5c

2c 5c 236a

3c j.2c j.236a

if you have a stein on them : 5c 214d

if you have a stein behind them : 5c 236d

or this for mixup :

(2a 6a) 6b

2a 6b

dash 6b (ya rly)

any form of throw/tickthrow/trm (2a throw, 2b throw, 2aa throw, 2a dash 2a-pinkthrow...)

If you start adding meter to the mix, you get even more options, like 6b(1) RC 2b etc. Always keep an eye out for steins, they also open options. What you do while applying this pressure is to try to get a read on your opponent, or back out if you're not sure. Of course you always have to try to see if your opponent is using barrier as it will make 2c whiff, or instant block, making everything more dangerous for you. The most important thing is to stay unpredictable.

Okay, I'll keep that in mind. I have plenty to learn in training mode. :D

Kurushii is scanning the mook, data should be available later today.

No surprises in the frame data.

Prorate on 214d is .80(.91x3); total prorate of .60 as a starter, some kanji in the notes for it's held properties so I'll leave off on translating it.

it's P1 is 80? It feels a hell of a lot worse than that.

It's sad, they literally cut the reward in half from the starter, 214d guard crush is now the absolute worst result of her Oki as opposed to one of the best.

But yeah, 80p1, .91^3 p2

I mean, I think I averaged close to 3k in CSX, maybe less I can't remember, but I remember that starter being godlike before.

But I remember the first time I tried the combo 214D > 66B > 66A > 2C > j.C > j.2C AND THEY COULD FUCKING TECH BEFORE THE j.2C

It just kinda seems unfair :c

Yeah, you have to do a funky combo now to get it working.

214d > 6c > SoD > 6b > 6a > j.2c > j.5d > 2b > 5c > 2c > j.2c

214d > 5c > 6c > SoD > 6a > j.2c > j.5d > 2b > 5c > 2c > j.2c

;~;

Midscreen is lulz, haven't bothered to find it yet.

I think my last combo started working when I replaced the 66A with a 665C.

214D > 66B > 66 5C > 2C > j.C > j.2C

Pretty sure that worked.

Posted

It does.

There might be some new corner-to-corner combos, but I'll have to work on them.

Yea the biggest problem at this point is midscreen guard break combos imo. 214d wont do too much and from stuff into 3c that requires meter for a corner carry. This will be figured out in due time. Never thought about it too much because idont guard break people much outside of 214d. Ehh...we'll see.

Posted

Well if Guard Break's P1 is still 90, and there will still be three hits left from 214D to work with, which has a P2 of 91 each time, does that make anything better? I know it's only a 10 point difference, but it's at least something to think about.

midscreen

214]D[ > walk forward 5C > 6C > Habacan > 66A> 6B > 66A > j.2C > 662C > 6C > 5D > SoD 3.3k

Got that one awhile back...I had forgotten about it until now lol.

214D nerf is sad...I miss guaranteed 6k off 214D in the corner. :<

Try doing something other than holding back--don't you have any kind of competitive spirit that drives to be even slightly more aggressive? Being careful is fine but your so turtley that when I finally getting fighting spirit its totally a buzz kill when I gotta deal with your style. It's not that your not getting better, you noticeably are, however I only really witness your improvement when you take risks and the initiative

It's true, bolt. From what I've seen playing you, you don't press nearly enough buttons.

As a matter of fact, you don't press any buttons when I use Platinum against you.

The sad thing is that was my attempt at being more aggressive.
