Leonil_Requiem Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 Mu has a cross over hit box on her j.623C allowing for cross ups on standing opponents. I'm just telling you what I know because i didn't check to see if it crosses over on crouchers. it doesn't look to big at the base i assume not.
Nemesis Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 (edited) Are you talking about the kinda cross up ragna can do with ID using IAD? Speaking of which any news on that vid tutorial thing c0r was working on ? ETA? Edited January 31, 2012 by Nemesis
Starkaiser Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 Could anybody suggest just a few most practical combo for mu-12? a mu-12 newbie here wanna learn ^^; P.S. I saw combo thread, but it has way too many and confusing for beginner.
Lord Pwnge18 Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 Have you tried doing Challenge mode yet? That's a pretty good place to start for combos
pochp Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 The challenge mode doesn't have the combo I use the most often though. If there's one combo you should learn with Mu it's this. (at least slightly close to the corner) 2a 2b 5c SoD dash 6a (slight delay) 6b 6a j.2c j.d 2b 5c 2c (stein fires) j.2c (have to super jump the last j.2c on noel, platinum, makoto, and rachel) other than that check the combo thread for combos that start with 6b (corner), j.c air to air counterhit (midscreen), 6a CH midscreen, 2c CH midscreen, and thows for midscreen, corner, and close to corner. That really what you hit with most often (in addition to 2a and 2b corner, which use the combo I posted above).
Starkaiser Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 (edited) So mu-12 will bring opponent to corner very often, I assume? Since most of combo suggestion are corner, and it seem there isn't much choice on mid-screen at all. Seem they are little too hard when I just start on her. Any basic combo to pull off first? (I did challenge mode combo, but only be able to clear until 11. and I think they aren't so practical use) Edited February 1, 2012 by Starkaiser
YukiBlue Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 Midscreen, Mu can easily break 6K from her most damaging moves (Usually 6C) But her most reliable damage midscreen usually comes from counter hits or stein setups, which in turns usually leaves the enemy in the corner. She has plenty of options midscreen.
Lythium Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 Any grounded normals into Tsurugi is your basic midscreen combo. She doesn't get a lot otherwise, unless it's crouching, anti-air, or CH. 2A/2B > 5C > 2C > 3C > Tsurugi, oki, etc.
Aginor Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 Mu also gets a lot if she has meter and it depends on the starter as well.
LunaKage Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 6C Fatal Midsreen easily leads to 5-6k into the corner. It's still my favorite combo ;w; I'm pretty sure it's not even optimal.
YukiBlue Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 6C Fatal is beautiful, I mastered the 1 Combo C0R posted in CS2. On the subject of 6C, Rapid cancelling that shit is amazing, Too. Honestly, Mu has amazing moves to RC, Using her distortions just seems like a complete waste unless it's to win the round. Especially 3C. The damage from that + The knockdown is worth more than 50 heat, Mu Mains have it easy. Like seriously, We genuinely don't have shit to complain about (Except them not making Mu broken and having NE Habakiri). Anyway, Whilst I'm here. Instead of a 214D Starter off a guardbreak in the corner, Would I not get better damage from 6C or Max SoD?

Well all guard breaks have 90p1, so if your guard breaker only does one hit, then it will always do the same damage as other guard breakers with one hit.
YukiBlue Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 Awh Really? Looks like I didn't read up as much as I should of.
Lythium Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 What Luna said. :3 Would I not get better damage from 6C or Max SoD? You would get the best damage off of 6C, with 100 P1. SoD has 90, I think. edit: Off a raw hit, sorry. I think I misconstrued what you meant. D:

It puts you and your opponent at the perfect range to make 2b catch rolls, pick up people who stay on the ground otg into a fresh combo, and low profile some DPs. After omohikane, you can also usually do meaty 236a and you'll usually recover in time to block wakeup DPs, so it's really good for baiting. It also gives you more of a life lead, which is really important if the match is in its last 20 seconds. And well I find the psychological factor of taking over 6k damage in a single combo will often cause your opponent to take bad decisions, like not teching. That said, don't abuse, it's far inferior to RC mixup and stein setups, and definitely not worth the 50 heat if your opponent knows how to deal with it.
Aginor Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 If your opponent didn't die in the corner to omoikane, and if you know they will neutral tech, you can cross them up by sj.b. Though, make sure you don't do it too often or you just end up putting yourself in the corner. Depends on situation, but you don't always have to go for a mix up when your opponent is in the corner. Just keeping them there and not letting them get out is really important. As long as they are there, the risk/reward should mostly be in your favor.

cookiehours Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 I'm so mad I messed up the Blessed Mirror combo. I did the distortion right, got about 5k...then screwed up doing the other distortion. Boo. ._.
Chaoschao222 Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 Yellow DLC is clearly the best. Mu's yellow DLC is literally the only reason I wanted to buy DLC pack 3 in CS.... and I don't even use Mu like... ever...
