Iunno man, I wouldn't even try it against Bang. hmm, I gotta go find that. Depends on how much you prorated the combo. If you begin with a 5C, it'll drop at the j.B if you attempt the loop the third time. I think it drops at at j.C if you include j.A/5AA in the combo but you may have to followup with something like j.B > j.CC (you'll get the reset at j.CC). Not sure about the safe jump thing. I think it drops after the jbb if you start with a 5c. I'll check in about.. 6 hours.

Shruikon Posted May 7, 2012 Posted May 7, 2012 5A > 5BB > j.BB > j.CC > 5BB > 5CC > 2C > 236C > 22B (2383 damage, 27 heat) seems really simple to do for some of the bigger characters (Tager, Hakumen, Valkenhayn and Bang). 5A > 5BB > j.BB(slight delay) > j.C > 5BB > j.BB(slight delay) > j.C > 5CC > 22A (2339 damage, 26 heat) seems pretty simple for me too and works on Ragna, Jin and other similar sized characters. What are actually the optimal versions to do and do they really offer much more in terms of damage/heat compared to the difficulty of them?

It might be a factor as to why it's easier to perform. However, Kuresu performed it midscreen. The more optimal ones include a 2C > 236C > 22B after the 5CC, but the heat gain/damage is not significant. It's also awkward to perform and therefore doesn't need to be used. Corner : 22D > 5D > 3CC > RC > 6CC > 623C > 236A(w) > 214D > j.5D > j.5C > dash > 5C > 2CC > 214D > 6A > 5C > 2C > finisher The 2CC right after the dash 5C won't connect. The fist hit will, but the second will whiff, or rather my opponent can tech. I've tried everything, delaying the dash, delaying the 5C, delaying the j.5C. None will work. I saw Kuresu doing it several times without trouble, but i don't know what he does that i don't If someone know what's the trick on this combo, i'd gladly hear it. PS : maybe this has already been asked, i didn't go through all the 29 pages ^^"

Fortunately, however, there are alternatives. 22D>5D(>3CC>RC)>6CC>623C>j.236A(w)>j.214D>5C(w)C>2CC>236X>214X>22B 22D>5D(>3CC>RC)>6CC>623C>j.236A(w)>j.214D>j.D>j.C>665C>2C>sj.C>j.214D I haven't actually tried out the second one, but it should work. You should be able to get at least a full stock from it after the second j.214D, although I can't say if the positioning is as good.

The orb won't lock him in place for the dive and he can just tech out. I've never had this problem with other characters; does Ara require a specific timing?
BatousaiJ Posted May 13, 2012 Posted May 13, 2012 Ara and a few other characters have hit boxes where off certain starters if you do full 623D(3 hits), the 236D will bounce them too close to you which will make the orb hit them before you can j.214D through it to get the repeated hits for full proration. In those scenarios, switch up your starter or do 2 hits for 623D and immediately cancel into j.236D > j.214D.
Errol Posted May 14, 2012 Posted May 14, 2012 Not sure what I prefer actually now FC 3C > 6C combo for 3.4k FC 3C > double IAD combo for crazy carry and 3.1k oddly I feel like the 6C combo might be easier to get more consistently. But I think the double IAD is probably better a lot of the time because of the carry.
pktazn Posted May 14, 2012 Author Posted May 14, 2012 I usually go the double IAD route just because I like doing the IAD combo in addition to the corner carry but if they're in the corner/close to the corner I go the 6C route. However, I admit that sometimes I forget we can go into 6C after a 3C fatal though, so that's another reason I go the IAD route aha. Just depends but both are great and it's fun to land.

So one near the corner for example would be: 3CC > RC > 5C > 2CC > 236D > 2CC > IAD j.CC > 5C > 2CC > 236B > 214B > 22B Or 3CC > RC > 5C > 2CC > IAD Combo
