Lucien Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 Is there really 8 hella strong players on EC PSN? I wouldn't know since I lagged with a lot of people on my short psn experience. PSN has alot of really strong players, those 7 listed just happen to be PSN's cream of the crop.
DJ_Blactricity Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 1. not_kidviper 2. Minoru_Hoshi 3. feux_follets88
LunaKage Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 360 needs one of these =) You can start one if you like, it's like Zeth said, LK doesn't have to be the one to make it.
Kurushii Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 1. not_kidviper East Coast will gladly accept kv LOL. (He's Midwest really though :V)
zeth07 Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 Just going by the regional listings on SRK listing those states as I've stated above. If every state along the Atlantic Ocean counts as East Coast on Dustloop, then that's different. Then again, BB's netcode is pretty damn good compared to anything that any game SRK supports so, yeah... Forget what I said. Where are you reading this? The forums Regional Matchmaking has it by like Atlantic North, Atlantic South, etc. Nonetheless them calling certain states "East Coast", but having others called "South East" is kinda silly, now if it was "North East" and "South East" that makes sense. 1. not_kidviper 2. Minoru_Hoshi 3. feux_follets88 Isn't kidviper in TX? That's not EC....
A.X.I.S. Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 PSN has alot of really strong players, those 7 listed just happen to be PSN's cream of the crop. Hmm that is good information to swallow thanks.
Sadeyo Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 Kyou-Chan Strongest Netplay Warrior alive. I like to add my own two cents on this matter as it's something very interesting to keep up with. Not liking the idea that 7/8 players are already decided upon but it could hopefully change as we have time to actually adapt and get this going but to think it's only reduced to EC (I can care less about XBL). How about another thread devoted to WC and instead of testing out your strengths against players in your region. I like to watch brkrdave, severin, or even anyone else out there duke it out with their few top players. We can call this thread Amber and the other thread Aqua.
Moy_X7 Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 We can call this thread Amber and the other thread Aqua. BEEN HAD POKEMON THREADS I'd also like to add another vote to Kyou-Chan. He was a beast and I assume he's still a beat now. I'm with the people that have proposed that a tournament is made for each region/console. That seems like the best way to handle things without going against LK's wishes. Now it's all about who wants to set it up and if they'll be able to make it just as hype lol.

All jokes aside, i'd like to see how this plays out before we criticize and such. Peoples connections vary big time, i lag with cookie in the same state...but i have a perfect connection with SRZ in midwest just to give and example. So narrowing down to EC isn't (at least from what i gather) bias or anything, its probably asuring that the connections are stable as possible given the proximity of the participants from one other. Im all for the idea, and i feel if it was completely up for vote...the list wouldn't be much different (within the parameters of EC only i mean).
Sadeyo Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 Kyou-Chan's a girl and she's West Coast =/ I'm not sure about gender but I once had a conversation with them a while ago thinking they mentioned NY but just skimmed over their username reading Oregon, damn. Another potential player lost due to regional qualifications. With who I'm aware of I guess I'll have to say- Soul 6 Okami
worldjem7 Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 North East Coast Netplay tourney. Can Canada come too?
StayFree( ' 3') Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 I also vote severin... *fieldgoal kicks him to EC* he's your problem now... -Raiza57 zeth, stop trolling sir. yes, I ran into him in extend lets just say I vote him #1 in saltyness
Lord Knight Posted January 30, 2012 Author Posted January 30, 2012 (edited) This is a test event. On XBL you can get a little greedier with distances because the connection is more stable - plus there are some players who don't cross over to PS3. Also, I did want to do something like this with WC or Midwest if this was successful, at a later date (say, after BBR). Like the original GODSGARDEN, the players are hand picked, besides one. Like I said before, I picked people who I really thought were the best players. The format is TBD but all the matches will not take place in one day. If I did more than 16 players, it would take too long. Isu is from Georgia but he has that OP tech school connection. Edited January 30, 2012 by Lord Knight
NeoGio0o Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 (edited) Once I get a better understanding of the format I think I'll start an XBL version of this so long as it's okay with everyone. There are definitely some awesome ideas that were suggested that could be implemented into something like this, I also want to say thank you to anyone who added me to their list as I greatly appreciate the undeserved recognition. List of people I vote for -Akira-shiro(please let him in so he can get bodied) -Raiza57 -Tempest Dhalia -Hell Knight_10 -Haven -Minoru_Hoshi -Star-Demon -Lieutenant * May want to change the date to at least one day after the release of Extend as the game comes out on Feb 14th and this gives everyone time to get the game/sort out shipping problems as well as practice the new stuff. Edited January 30, 2012 by NeoGio0o
MashThat5A Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 Suddenly, I also want to nominate Akiro Shiro
Hellknight10 Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 raiza57 Akira-Shiro feux_follets88 Minoru_Hoshi TempestDahlia Neogio0o SwordOfToan I know raiza, Toan and Hoshi have Extend right now but idk if everyone else will be able to obtain Extend on the 13th, hopefully Amazon and others will ship out early (I would totally nominate mah son WoZ but his connection is stoopehd)
Dont_Explain Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 Damn, I just woke up and logged in and saw I misunderstood the rules. Thought there were gonna be 8 predetermined people in the tourney along with some other people. Then it doesn't help I don't have EX. Spirit shattered... [spot for my vote when I figure out who has EX]
zeth07 Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 (edited) uhh i think you should include the east half of US as EC... i vote for Zeth07 SKD KidViper EMP|TSB|LORD "I BEEN HAD TOURNAMENT WINS" KNIGHT Brice Ivysaurrr Jourdal :3 Lol you're crazy. While I appreciate that, I do not play enough to be on all those other people's level. Everybody on LK's list and the people I nominated play the fuck out of the game and body me. Thanks though. EDIT: And I don't have Extend. Edited January 30, 2012 by zeth07
Lord Knight Posted January 30, 2012 Author Posted January 30, 2012 Please read carefully - The tentative test date is the 13th - I know for sure who the first match will be already. I've already taken into account that some people won't have the game until the 14th.
