I never use training mode to practice anything and never bother to warm up before playing (unless you count casuals before a few offline tourneys where I live). I just play against people and never noticed any improvement the longer I played. Well, maybe it's less warming up and more conditioning. You usually just stick to your own game plan, whereas I tend to adjust my style against the person I'm playing and that takes a little while to set in. That team match I got perfected against Nemesis who was using Hazama (it was Nemesis right?), I thought it was Ctrl so I started doing things totally different than I would have if it was Nemesis. When I'm on form and doing shit correctly it looks hella pro and badass but when I keep dropping stuff left and right it just looks like I got no clue what I'm doing lol. And when I do stuff perfectly on accident, I like to pretend I did it consciously.

I will make some small changes for each player while playing (like baiting Haku's mindlessly 2D'ing 236D~C by changing the timing) but your style of playing doesn't really work for a straight forward character like Lambda.
