abadlime Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 Are these on wake up? or just off tsubaki trying her random shenanigans mid combo/blockstring.
Ctrlaltwtf Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 (edited) Also if you wanna go all out and you've got 8 jewels you can negate 22D with Infinity >_> Pretty terrible idea though because Tsubaki can just hit you again lol. Infinity why are you so bad 8( EDIT: They're all on wake-up. From long distance obviously Hotaru will whiff but at least you'll be alive and ready to fight. Edited January 24, 2013 by Ctrlaltwtf
abadlime Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 But it's so readily available I know it's on arcade. I'm trying to build up wanting to play it that i'll go through it again and 100% like i did with some other games. Metroid Prime is a recent example.
mAc Chaos Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 http://www.dustloop.com/forums/showthread.php?11653-CS2-Hakumen-vs-Tsubaki/page2 answer is neutral tech through it and punish biggest thing that was destroying me was that i normally can counter her overheads and lows when she goes for mixup but this time i was back to "all her moves look the same" mode
Ctrlaltwtf Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 (edited) I think the Hotaru was a fluke cause after re-recording my Training Dummy Tsubaki I can't get it off again. Remember that backwards-roll 720 stuff I kept doing do you mac? You can do something similar to Tsubaki in this case. Honestly thought slightly-delayed neutral tech seems by far the best solution. Except on a whiffed hotaru, the 22D will most likely have hit by then. I guess it all comes to spacing then. snip I dun get it. I was close to getting all 180 emblems. Only issue was the A-Rank everything for some characters. My cousin got it though so i know i could do it =)
Ctrlaltwtf Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 answer is neutral tech through it and punish I honestly have difficulty seeing what you can punish this with, unless her recovery is a lot longer than it looks (which it may well be). I think also I'm not doing the right setup, as most times Tsubaki seems to do this at the end of a combo so you can neutral tech much sooner. I'm just doing it after 3C -> RC for the sake of testing and you're not allowed to tech for quite a while (you can still avoid it with a delayed neutral though)

That would be the biggest reason i refrained from staying on you and always IAD to keep distance instead. Honestly thought slightly-delayed neutral tech seems by far the best solution. That would work on normal occasions but mAc was already delaying it. I started delaying as well to catch him.

My cousin got it though so i know i could do it =) Ah, you're referring to SA2 and not SA (where the voice clip is from). Froggy, or specifically, Big the Cat's A rank missions in SA were so boring and often obnoxious to the point where people wouldn't want to 100% SA. SA2 is honestly easier to 100% thanks to better mechanics and many ways to abuse points.
abadlime Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 Wonder if quick wake-up Kishuu would work against you in that situation then lol. MIND GAMES Probably, but that's only if you get me to time like mAc was since he was delaying tech on every situation (DP, knockdown, etc) Ah, you're referring to SA2 and not SA (where the voice clip is from). I've barely played SA1 since i wasn't able to grab it for the gamecube and eventually lost most interest when i could.
Ctrlaltwtf Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 (edited) I got this after taunting Gold when I failed to follow up a SIR with DF due to delay. I then tried to point out that Taunting has been a traditional part of FGs for years and years. If you actually let it affect you and get you irritated/annoyed/and possibly reckless, then I've just won a mind game by using it and I've increased my odds of winning by flustering you. I then tried to point out that I also use it legitimately on Relius as bait for Ignis traps. Apparently his religion doesn't approve of taunting. That's why he plays BlazBlue, it's the purest, most high-class form of entertainment there is. I mean, the worst that's in this game is a girl wearing nothing but a metal vagina, and a young man who fantasizes about slaughtering his only brother through not-entirely-heterosexual behavior. GOOD FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY!! Edited January 24, 2013 by Ctrlaltwtf
Chaoschao222 Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 S button is a taunt button and it allows you to taunt mid-match. Ctrl, you deserve to be kicked for using something implemented into the game for entertainment's sake.
Lunar_Divider Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 (edited) Durr, misread. Edited January 24, 2013 by Lunar_Divider
Airk Posted January 25, 2013 Posted January 25, 2013 (edited) 22D isn't a low though. It should work. But the invincibility only starts from frame 5. So until then I can still get hit. This is right. Ctrlaltwtf is completely wrong. Kishuu WILL dodge 22D because Kishu has head and body invulnerability and 22D only has head/body properties. Therefore, Kishuu dodges it. However, as Mac points out, Kishuu doesn't have invulnerability right away at startup, so if 22D is meaty, you still get hit. All the same info applies to Tsubaki 214 series vs 22D. Whether a move will hit you while you are lying on the ground means nothing - Kishuu can dodge Spike Chaser, even thought it comes up out of the ground, because inexplicably, it doesn't have foot property on it. Trust me on this. And yes, Hotaru doesn't work against meaty 22D either because you have to get through your 4 frames of jump startup before you can get into Hotaru's invulnerability frames. Hotaru is not a legit reversal vs meaty attacks. If it works, it means your opponent f-d up their timing, not that you made the right decision. You CAN punish 22D after a neutral tech, but you have to neutral tech just early enough that you recover before she does and late enough that you don't just get hit, and then it works as badlime indicates - the Tsubaki player can delay a little as well. Or possibly just pick you up for a new combo with 5C or 2B if you wait too long. You can also beat it with quick wakeup > Jab if your opponent doesn't see you quick wakeup and just let go to hit you. Ignorance: Fought. Edited January 25, 2013 by Airk
Nemesis Posted January 25, 2013 Posted January 25, 2013 Still gonna be up for an hour or so... Where's dat night crowd @

Elochai Posted January 25, 2013 Posted January 25, 2013 (edited) That's impossible when I'm getting decked in the face repeatedly lol. Doesn't help that I can't remember to ever 2B > 6B as Ragna :<. Edit: GGs, guys. Sorry if I scrubbed it up. I need to play this game more. Edited January 25, 2013 by Elochai
