input 9 5 6 quickly. 7 5 4 for iad back.

Reminds me a bit of how one would input 2369a to do an air Arrows while barely off the ground. Obviously not fully the same, but the speed of the inputs would get a similar effect. I'll have to practice that when I can here.

...This is something I have never really asked for help with. I have this extremely bad habit of backdashing the wrong times, which allows me to get air grabbed before I can do anything get hit. I think my mobility is lacking with mu. How do I work on this? I know I should probably train with someone on this but I was wondering if there were other ways as well. This is something I want to work on as well so I'm being honest and serious with this.

Also have this problem with Lambda and I really want to improve it.

IAD - I think it's instant air dash or instant aerial dash.

When people start catching you out the air, it means they're reading you too easily. Air Grabs are one of the easiest way to stop someone from being sky happy all the time. When people start catching my attempts to escape, i usually try to completely alter my playstyle.

Just try to mix up your mobility. I usually either mix up my placement/zoning and charging in during a match, so when people assume you're going to run away to setup steins, you can probably catch them while they're trying to catch you (air dashing towards you, trying to close distance) and get them to back off again. I think mu can do this pretty easy because of her 5C / j.C range.

But like Zeromus said, some people who are relentless with their rushdown are somewhat difficult to fend off for me. Usually people get the message when their approaches fail and back up to avoid being caught in a damaging combo again (allowing you to safely set a few lasers up), but others don't give a shit and will just keep at you, which usually works on me because wiffing some attacks with mu is pretty bad.

Hmm. Played the matchup a lot today, watched some JP replays and yeah...Tager is still somewhat ""free"" if you play lame.

And yet he is still one of my most hated foes, with my brain all but defaulting to "stay the f' away!" I really need to work on that matchup. Any advice, aside from don't let him grab you?

If he jumps forward, which he needs to do to get in reliably, Dash under him.

If he stays on the ground, play the bully and beat at him with max range 5c/2b.

Don't be afraid to approach him so long as you force him to block.

623c cancel stein sets if he sledges and blow him back, air uppercut if he tries to drag you in out of air stein set.

On his wakeup do 5a meaty, if he does MTW you can DPxN until he loses, if he backdashes, 5a will whiff and you can punish the incoming grab attempt/backdash recovery with FC j.2c, it times itself perfectly.

Nice video, I can't thank you enough for covering stuff like that.

Very small notes you might want to consider:

-for 2c otg > Yata, be sure to include 5c, it's free damage and heat, so 2c 5c Yata

-after omohikane knockdown, back up a bit before catching their tech with 2b, it gives you the spacing to go into 2b 5c 6c SoD 6b, for a considerable upgrade damage wise.

Just keep him away from you forever with your normals, Like C0R said if he starts SJ.C'ing just dash right under him and get some distance. Bait spark bolts with quick dashes or whatever, It's not a HUGE problem really.

Air DP helps an absolute ton now, I'm pretty sure it fucks his 6C > 5D Resets or any AC outside of a combo.

Also, All of your combos should be easier, It's tager. I keep fucking 6A Delay 6B now and then because of varying hitboxes, but with Tager you dont even need to try...

Thanks for the advice. I started practicing my backdashes and I've been using ground backdashes more/mixing up my retreats. Gonna keep working on it. The advice helped me greatly.

HA ANOTHER ONE

Yuki, I think it's time for you to go play Phantom Breaker or something, BB is getting way too mainstream.

But welcome, Imouto, I don't have psn unfortunately, but I'm sure anyone here would be more than happy to help you.

What? Stop playing BB? Can anyone do that? For that matter, can we even stop playing Mu? I didn't really see an exit around here when I came in.

But yes, like Lord Pwnge, I am happy to welcome yet another into our fold, and we can stumble through learning Mu. But not together, sadly, for I have a 360 and a wireless that hates it. *kicks the wireless router*

seems like all the new ppl who are eager and willing to learn are on PSN lol.....

XBL has all the scrubs, hipsters, and idiots with a few diamonds in the rough at best

edit: finally got around to watching pochps vid... and I approve.. seems like we came up with the same combo there (2nd to last) at the end minus yata-->omo

with 5b starters in the corner we can easily net 7.6k combos too ... alil tight but really not too hard

Stake through the heart, Nemisis, stake through the heart.

Lythi, while you're here, could you take that knife out of my back for me?

Sure, Pwny, I got yo' back. :3c

Has anyone tried Extend netplay yet, by the way? I've heard it's better than CS.

I've played 4 Ranked matches online so far. I saw some major lag in the second match, but that could have been due to any number of things, and it only really lasted at the start before the battle even begun. Beyond that, nothing that has been game breaking.

@Nemesis I've... got a mic for my 360 somewhere here now. Might be in a box with all my other game accessories and cables. Though if any old USB headset could work, I've got that as well.

Hmm, I usually only play player matches anyway, in the rare occasion that I do hop on.

I'll have to give it a shot soon.

Ive been all over extend netplay ... i can say the connectivity is... ok

im really not sure that its any better than CS tbh -- in some cases it seems that way and others ... meh... the game still lies -- 2bars lag while 0bars are just fine... etc ... i just had some 0bar games with Yuki and it was better than a 3bar game i had in ranked so ... yea
