Demon Wind Bomb Posted May 22, 2012 Posted May 22, 2012 I can but I hate the fact that I have to switch to Tager every time I feel like playing Bang or Ragna and especially Hazama to avoid 80% of the bullshit. Both Ragna and Bang can shut down Noel's drive quite easily. Hazama can do it too if you play the match-up correctly. Actually a good majority of the cast can shut down Noel's drive, if they try hard enough.

Still though, I'm gonna say it again. No character (besides Tager) should be getting that amount of damage off a free reversal move that's pretty much not punishable most of the time. That shit is stupid as fuck, please tell me otherwise.

Si senior, i dislike the fact that Noel's 2D is a "reversal" and auto corrects when getting out of the corner. also, fuck 4D who gives a person's AA a FATAL?

When did you start subbing Carl? That shit is stupid as fuck, please tell me otherwise. It isn't stupid. But I play Lambda and Tager so what do I know about having to deal with 4D?

I know Tager still has to worry about it somewhat, Lambda though, she doesn't have to worry about opening people up. Even if she did, no amount of mashing is going through Sickle Storm's +71 lmao. So the rest of us have to back off or guess with a low or a high during pressure. Jin can deal with it somewhat using TK Ice Blade C and lol 5D. Plat is pretty much screwed, I can't work my mix-up magic against her Tager wannabe ass. So I have to poke with my slow pokes lol.

I've always stuffed it with 2B or IAD j2DD whenever Noel's used it against me. Except when I jump'd in without protection against DWB and saw my life bar drain way too fast.

TD Posted May 22, 2012 Posted May 22, 2012 ggs to ride the icening and next online. some general advice for your rachel(s): -you guys were spamming wind and were out very often making my approach free. -lobelia summons should be pre-emptive and fast. you want them out and you don't want the foe punishing the recovery. also get used to how they fly. confirm those b/c CH lobelias, they lead to 3+k depending on if you can reach the opponent. -lots of bad sword iris. it takes awhile to 'know' when to detonate rods. a simple method is to leave them out and trust that you will detonate at the right time. -block. don't try to mash 2a out of pressure, it dosen't quite work for rachel. -fullscreen, pumpkin summon should be first priority most of the time. alternate between ground and air summons. you guys were a litte predictable with summons. all in all: read the bible! read it until you internalize it and can remember it on a whim. that is all.

On another note, I feel learning stick is going to help me in the end, since I can totally see the confirms and blockstrings I fuck up (an extremely large amount lol), and this part should hopefully be fixed by practicing and playing more. also lol'd@bible, just tried to read that as someone who doesn't know about it for a sec.
