Zeron_X25 Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 (edited) What exactly is so annoying with Jin? His attitude. I swear that motherfucker needs to stfu. @Zeron It's a good thing I don't play as Tager. That description just sounds like the Tager player should just turn the game off and scream into a pillow. That's exactly what I do. lmao Edited June 27, 2012 by Zeron_X25
toanenadiz Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 You can try to bait it by jumping back at the last second, but that would rule out Shippu. I've tried doing that with Lambda's IAD back j2DD but the Mu usually messes up the DP and I get 6C FC'd instead.

Just like how I sometimes get a FC 2C with Ragna when I'm mashing DP and the guy tries to cross me up, trying to bait my obvious incoming DP.
Fluck Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 Aw snap, I forgot all about that move. I think people didn't get what I was saying though. I was saying that usually it isn't going to whiff because you're going to try and pressure, so even if you read it at the last second and she DPs, she can RC and continue pressure to stop you from doing anything about it. If you're trying to make it whiff, you're going to be too far to make her feel pressured enough to DP. You can try to bait it by jumping back at the last second, but that would rule out Shippu. Still something to try though... I bet you could super jump up and not have to block if you did it early enough due to how the hitbox works, while still making it late enough that the Mu player feels pressured. Then punish with falling j.2C...But I haven't tested this out at all, pure theory.

Still something to try though... I seriously need to hit the lab and work on punishing a bunch of crap instead of just pummeling on the AI to sharpen my reactions, hit-confirms, and execution. Time to see what I can do to punish her DP and see how many wake-up reversals I can stuff with DP C lol.
Zeromus_X Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 Feint a meaty and backdash is pretty good to make Mu's DP whiff. (while also doubling as baiting Gold Burst if you're fighting, uh, that kind of player). Well, it might lose to like, wakeup super, but that'd have to be some supreme yomi/silliness on the Mu's part. I know when I get my DP properly baited and fatal'd I'm gonna be more careful using it in the future lol. Mu's DP is fine (she needs respect to set up her game since her zoning isn't immediately active like Lambda's) but I don't think a real cooldown timer on Habaya would be unreasonable. That shit only has like 17f (47f for air) after it disappears before you can summon it again lol. So every second you pretty much get one the best zoning tool in the game or a free supply of Bang's nails.

What about properly spaced 2B? If done right, it clashes, and you can do whatever you want afterwards.
Starlight777 Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 (edited) His attitude. I swear that motherfucker needs to stfu. That sentiment extends to Ragna and Hakumen as well. I'm just like "For the love of god, please just shut up." whenever I hear their voices. That goes for Japanese voices as well. Edited June 27, 2012 by Starlight777

Zeromus_X Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 Mah bad, was thinking about Jin since Moy had just posted.
Starlight777 Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 ACCEPT IT TEYAHHHHHHHHHHH EYEARHHHHHH I think you listed the most common ones I hear whenever I run into a Hakumen lol.
floatwater Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 Really? I can end matches a lot quicker with Plat the moment I get you in the corner. What exactly is so annoying with Jin? If you block 2D, you can do 66 5A or just 5A and it will trade with most of the crap he throws at you. It's not a hard move to IB, so on IB you can just do 66 5A. With Plat, you pretty much have to guess on the TK Swallow oki in the corner and a wrong guess will cost you dearly while a right guess just prolongs the inevitable cracked defense. I can't crack your defense with Jin. Oh wow, you get hit by 6A and lose a laughable amount of health and you can push 5A afterwards to keep him away. It's the fact he spends more time raging at 2D than thinking most of time. you heard it here first people. when he says he HATES that move, he salt levels reach MAXIMUMMM POWAAA. and what is up with all these feels today? i guess staying out of FGs and went bakc to RPGs made me miss shit.

Why you so mean? I'm kidding but anyway yeah my hate for that burns with the intensity of a Hydrogen Bomb. Speaking of RPGs I've been playing FFIV: The After Years more than BB lately.
Moy_X7 Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 Haku's backdash is not invincible :V It's not? What the hell? lol Man, have we ever received any news regarding back dash frame data?
floatwater Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 I thought every backdash had invul frames? just some had more than others
Starlight777 Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 I thought every backdash had invul frames? just some had more than others I thought the same thing. Oh well, learn something new every day.
Mucky Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 bang's backdash has invul frames yet it might as well not have any
Star-Demon Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 JUMPIN AND SHOOTIN TIME. Then BlazBlue practice.
A.X.I.S. Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 It's not? What the hell? lol Man, have we ever received any news regarding back dash frame data? There is backdash data in the mook and stuff. It's the same as CS2 in this game iirc. It should also be in the CSX wiki too.
Moy_X7 Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 Well shit, I failed to look in the most obvious place. lol Jin, 5 I-frames and 17 recovery frames. Back dashing is not a good idea with this guy, not that he needs it since he has his trusty DPs. Platinum has a pretty decent back dash though, 7 I-frames and 15 recovery frames.
WolfCrimson Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 You also need to look at the distance traveled, Moy. Lambda's backdash has 5 I-frames and 20 recovery frames, but her backdash is one of the best in the game.
toanenadiz Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 It helps that the Murakumo backdashes don't put them in the air so if they get hit during it, they tend to take less damage against some characters.
mAc Chaos Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 I thought every backdash had invul frames? just some had more than others They all do except Hakumen, but he has Hotaru.
