What's abare? I've been missing out on these new terms.

It means this

Abare ("ah-bah-reh", 暴れ)

"Abare", in the sense of fighting games, refers to the act of trying to interrupt the opponent's attacks when you are being pressured with an attack that is invincible and/or has very fast start-up.

This is contrast with the more "dictionary" sense of the word, which means to "run rampage or riot", and also contrasts with the somewhat confused notion that "abare" refers to the average damage a character can do off of a random poke (although one can see where the confusion originally occurred in this explanation/translation).

Thus, an example of abare would be something like a good "uppercut" (be it Sol's VV or Johnny's overdrive), or a very fast normal attack (like many characters' 2P or 2K or something), although since throws in GG are instant, throwing is also considered to be a form of abare.

It's used a dozen different ways by a dozen different games, even in Japan. Sometimes it's a violent, RTSD playstyle. Sometimes it's mashing counters. It's often used as shorthand for random damage. No definition is inherently wrong so long as it stays true to the violent/raging spirit of the word.

GGs to StayFree,pochp,RockVolnuttX, and anyone else I played. cept Wesker(numbers) for crying about getting reversalled and AA'd by C Inferno Divider,then this nigga tried to mirror match me with Ragna and I blew him up by baiting out his C Inferno Dividers on wakeup. Stop doing dumb shit. And BGs to Fiona. That character is dumb and Toan should feel bad for loving her.

Here I always thought "Abare" was a strong form of pressure. Something not all characters are good at doing. However, from the multitude of definitions it would seem easier just to coin new terms for the various definitions. /offtopic

The thing I love about playing against LK is that I don't have to worry about blue beats with him, unless lag is being gay. That way I don't have to mash A to tech out without getting blue beat lol.

lulzy games to Snivy for kicking me after a single loss and NeoKyousuke for playing one match and leaving too. This guy has made me hate Ragnas in general, he hits too hard

I can't tell you how hard I was shaking my head at the derp that was those matches. It started off rust, then became lots of buttons. I think the silliest thing for me was when you knocked me down in the corner put a bubble over me and I was like "Yo 2A lets go" AND IT WORKED. How does buttons beat oki?

Idk maybe you just mistimed it or something, but I was like "Why did that shit work and why don't I press 2A more often?"

Then it just went to Heart Cars and Inferno Dividers.

I think this game gives me headaches even when I don't rage. You just always have those moments like "Yeah, you know you playing Blazblue when THAT happens."

The reason it worked was because I was baiting an ID or a Gold Burst, if I had pushed j.B then you would have got CH'd. The bubble itself doesn't actually touch you if you wake up immediately, its sole reason is to prevent roll outs lol.

I was like "I wonder if Mami would go over either 5B or 5C at the start of the round, why the hell not?" lol

Awwww I was actually thinking of mashing 2A more often lol. You should have just lied and made me a better player by making me think it was ok to mash.

Still weird how like my shoulder from 2A pops the bubble. I should remember that at least for when I think someone is gonna bait a DP.
