The view from the other side :P

Anyone up for some games? The only way I can get into random rooms now is to use an alt so I don't get kicked / room disbands early or whatever.

Doesn't Rachel's 6A eat the nails?

You can throw out your anti-air x infinity, same can't be said for Bang.

AND you have pumpkin/george/lobelias X infinity.

Now that I'm playing Litchi, a legit anti-air is probably one of the only things I miss
wait a minute, you went from one bad character to another bad character? lol.

I know, right?

I can actually hit people with Litchi, though, which makes it much more fun than when I was playing Relius.

Also, kokushi okizeme. And overall, I'm a lot more comfortable with her neutral than I ever was with Relius's.

Has your Litchi leveled up since she last fought my Tao?

Some. Not enough for my taste, but I'm definitely more comfortable with the character than I was then.

Tempest, can you really still call howling-_-moon an alt at this point?

lkr? too lazy to change it l guess

that's good. litchi's neutral is pretty matchup dependant, so if you're getting the hang of it, that's a nice step in the right direction.

also, wow. psn is so horrible at this game, l almost find it frightening. ggs nonetheless.

lol, I think you're just playing it too much.

When ehrik mentioned it being "psn" a while back, that's when I specifically wanted to play him myself and see. Then we played something like 15 matches and the lag wasn't "noticeable" outside of 1 incredibly random lag spike. Otherwise it was fine.

But PSN is the devil around here it seems.

zeth, it either didnt hit you yet, or your net is just godlike. i've had nearly flawless internet for almost 2 years now (pretty much zero complaints no matter who l played). but recently, say a month, all i'm getting is lag spikes, randomly dropped games, random sign-outs etc. l assure you, no one else is screwing with my internet, it's just me. and everything always checks out fine in the settings. not to mention, it's not just me, it's been happening to people l play very often as well. there's a point where l just can't excuse the issue as mere coincidence, but there isn't much l can do about it either. alas...

Lol I more or less meant that it SHOULD be because you're reading them in all cases. But yes people do just throw out their anti-airs like it's nothing, must be nice.

Meh, it's not that great. Sure Plat has a proper AA with 6A but the recovery on that thing is atrocious and the I-frames don't kick in until after the 7th frame. I'd rather AA people with 5A sometimes since it's faster and has way less recovery. I find it easier to AA people with Jin's 2A than with Plat's 6A lol

PSN fucked up today for me. Loading network menu stuff slowed the fuck down and then finally froze on me while trying to load the player match menu.

Like I've said in the past, my net isn't even good. Obviously I don't have an answer for you either though. Just giving my own experience as well.

Person says "man PSN makes it so laggy." I play said person in numerous matches and it isn't remotely laggy at all in terms of complaining. Must be PSN..... And I don't even mean just ehrik as an example just in general.

Just like when the same few individuals complain about lag, I'm not exactly gonna trust their judgement when it could just be their own connection or shit happening on their home network. I know you usually aren't one of those people but you should see my point.

If we played a long set sometime in the future and it isn't really laggy, would PSN still be the problem? Compared to say, we play and it IS laggy but I play someone else and it ISN'T laggy would I think that's PSN's problem or the person I'm laggy with.

I just don't think "PSN" is the culprit or the "netcode" like some people seem to think, those would be the last things I would consider as the source of the problem all things considered.

Hopefully you see what I'm saying though. Maybe I'm just a bit cynical about it but I don't really believe in coincidences when in my own experience it never seems to be as bad as people say, when in actuality it always seems to be based on specific people's connections (or distance).

GGs to the people I fought today. BGs to a Jin ragequitting on me and a Platnium that was possibly lag-switching, due to the lag that would occur whenever I was doing something while his Platnium flew around and did random attacks.

And Zeth, I've had this problem with BB lately as well. I have a perfect connection when it comes to Skullgirls so I am not sure if its my net acting up anymore.

You're playing Skullgirls on PSN though correct? So....

l get what you're saying, l do. that was actually my mode of thinking as well. l don't actually want to blame anyone/thing for my problem. if it weren't for the fact that;

-it's really noticeable and consistent lag. d/c's are d/c's;

-it's happening to alot of people who have had good connections also;

-all of the mentioned in my previous post;

then, i'd say its really my connection. i'm open to both ways, if it's me then it's me, but based on past experience, the voices around here, and the evidence in my face, it just seems more or less to be pointing to psn as a whole.

it's not gonna stop me from playing or give me any new OS's when l lose, it's just something l observed, if it really is psn then i'll just have to wait it out like everyone else. i'm still looking for router solutions for my own router too, all l want is for it to NOT lag, at the end of the day.

If my game is freezing at the matching menu for rooms, its not my internet lol after it crashed couldn't sign into psn

This happened when a room randomly crashed, and my internet ping was fine the entire time

Well, yeah. And Dusk, I know the netcode is really good in that game.

But still...I've never had these problems with BB before. I could try looking into my internet service but I get where TD's coming from.

Grammatically yes, but I'm confident that if you choose to block Ashura in the air it's worse than blocking it on the ground. To be honest I never actually went to training mode to test it out I just remember rolling my face on j.A with Tao after I barrier blocked Raiza's Ashura and he got a counter hit 5A and explained why Ashura is so amazing.

No.

It's easy to IB barrier in the air then Bang is even more fucked.

With characters who have a 6A you just go "Oh he's jumping at me" and 6A him and it'll take them out.

With characters like Bang and Tao you never know when they're actually going to commit to an attack since they can bail out once you go for the 6A.

like what XDest did to me yesterday. made me feel salty as fuck every time.

Well, against Tao, they have no reason to go in in the first place, so you can't really read it. You'll just eat a counter after they bait you out. Tao can just constantly zip in and out over and over with no drawback until you finally try something, and when you do she'll just duck back and hit you.
