Also I'm sadlife cause I cant play Nineball_Infinite. I think our connections hate each other.

Maybe people just like playing with their friends and don't feel like dealing with a stranger's potentially bad connection? After all, you can just create a room for yourself. And complaining on DL about it isn't going to change it.

Pretty much this. I run non-private rooms when no one else in my clique is on, but when I have one of my regulars available, it's pretty much private rooms.

Yeah, the invite only shit gets annoying after a while. Sad thing is it wasn't always this way. In CT and CS1 there were plenty of open rooms.

But regardless as long as you have this thread and the chat, you should never have issues finding matches

I think it is more like what's the point of playing randoms if you can play people you know. Or at least what's the point of playing randoms in player matches when you could just do that in ranked. Any other reasoning against it is completely invalid since you can just make your own room anyway or at least send the randoms a message asking for an invite into their room.

To add what other people have said, on 360, you usually can always see your connection to someone, even if it is 0. However, on PSN, it won't ever show the connection to people, even if it should be good and you know it. That is the most annoying thing to me.

I've been away from Blazblue for almost a month now, but been filling all that dead time with pressing buttons on Melty instead.

PSN's connection thing bothers me when it comes to BB, to be honest. One room will say it requires 2 bars to enter, and I'll go in at 2 bars, but it will put me at 0. I stopped trying to make sense out of the connection rating because it never seems 100% accurate.

However, thinking about it, perhaps the game could have included a closed lobby PM feature. So people can easily ask if there are free slots in closed rooms. And in my defense my PSN ID only has 1 capital letter so it is not too difficult to remember.
