I'll re-rail myself after this, we can continue in PM or some other forum: Litchi - Very creative, multifaceted and flexible character - can accommodate many styles, has the most room for creativity and is very deep and useful. I like pretty much everything about her, and even though Extend is very close to CT difficulty I'm starting to like/appreciate it. Among a lot of problems, everyone seems to waver between saying she is hard and saying she is easy, and a lot of opinions about her are conflicting - I don't know who I should believe or where the truth lies. There is not sufficient discussion over what skills need to be drilled or what prerequisites are needed for anyone to develop themselves as a player. There's no list and no plan. There are just bad litchis and good litchis, and Litchis in general are expected to always be very good. What's frustrating to me is that - if i were to prod them for - the reasons people want me to quit Litchi would automatically disqualify me from learning any other character. Saying I should change implies that they think I have the skills to take elsewhere, but the way I'm talked about seems to say I should just quit FGs altogether because I'm not suited to play FGs period. When I see that I take my training as a challenge to not be defeated by the community. When people can clearly identify my own strengths and weaknesses without hyperbole or cliche and then help me form an actionable plan, I would have a better map to learn my own character and would stick to it. I have no actionable plan anymore, and I've been taking time to form one amidst a lot of both vocal and silent negativity. Just once - I'd love to see a person be like "You can master this character, and here's how we're going to do it." I'd do that shit without question of comment. Okay, I'm done - Anything else PM me - I want serious and meaningful conversations and less FGC hyperbole, because it's only confusing me and only results in me having meltdowns. Spacing, hitconfirming, anti-airing, varying mix-ups. :v Yesterday, I told you that the best way to improve is play people whom are better than you or have a lot of insight about the game and let them tell you what you're doing wrong and you work on that. You told me "This is anime, everyone wants to keep things a secret." Akira shiro was sitting there literally in your ear giving you advice the entire time. Why not just ask him questions? You're looking for a gameplan? You're trying to get fucking good overnight. You don't want a gameplan, you want a cheatsheet. That's not how it works. The GG's thread can't be you therapist Star, we've all tried helping you and we still are. You help yourself, bro. Something is irritating the shit outta you and I don't think it's just litchi and BB. You gotta be a fucking masochist or something if this is the case. I don't see why you'd put so much time into something that isn't working. Go back and look at how many time the same people have given you advice repeatedly. A week or two later, it all comes back around to self destruction. Break your damn BB disk and go outside. I'm not saying this because I think you're a shitty player, because I don't. I think you're acting like a jack ass. "He's doing this because he thinks I'm a shitty player." "He's doing flashy combos because I'm not worth the regular ones." Are you serious? Where the hell is your confidence? Do you act like this outside of FG's? I'd say get the hell off video games altogether. Go outside, read a book, find something new to do with your life. This shit isn't healthy for you, bro. Find some self confidence. Fuck changing characters because you do this everywhere you go, it seems At the end of the day, we're just a bunch of niggas playing video games, Star. This isn't going to pay your rent, or get you a higher education. This is a hobby and a way to spend freetime. Not something that should -ever- get you so worked up that you sit here and bitch and moan in all caps and take that salty nap afterwards. Well put

Maybe if you found people that were more on your level. But that's hard with BB being how it is with the player base. Then again my IRL friends play BB with me all the time and I crush them but they still manage to plod along just fine.

I think its safe to say , that someone has already said what you said a looooooooooooong time ago. But i don't think its the case anymore....forgive me if that sounded rude. Wasn't intentional , i just think star needs to sit down and just ...think where's he's going. I have a friend who is in a similar situation as star but he just keeps watching vids/slowly learning at their own pace/ it takes some people longer than others. And there are still quite alot of beginners on BB online - as well as Beginner rooms. idk.. Forgive me.

You're essentially telling Star to use a character who's pressure and mixup is FAR more weaker than Litchi's, and who's damage is inconsistent because she relies on stock. I think Star would be getting more stressed out if he was using her. I'm not here to babble on about how Tsubaki is bad or whatever, but I'm providing the sugar coating. Believe me when I say this. I mained her in CS1... Hmm, I didn't know Tsu was that tough. Well, Jin would be a better fit then.
