MikeStrider Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 Here's the low quality jump scan. New stage, the train it looks like. And more to come in VJump 6/21.
SoWL Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 Didn't expect to see Narancia after Akira got a plane move, but he was one of my favorite gang members, so I'm okay with this. Diavolo and Buccellati are expected, but I'd still like to know how they play, especially Diavolo. Also, that dude from the JBA Community forums that predicted the next reveal to be Bruno and Diego just got totally exposed, yet he still posts his "source" stuff. I'm tempted to make an account there simply to report his posts.
MikeStrider Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 He said that? I can't clearly remember at this point. But yeah, do as you will. It wouldn't bother me much. Here's the HQ version. http://101.imagebam.com/download/19vW9aImCC5SctWB8OlKzg/25709/257086653/P014%20copia.jpg And I'll be on the look out in Famitsu this morning. If the next online article is to come out this week it'll be within the next hour.

MikeStrider Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 (edited) Hmm, yeah. I do believe it's the same person. I'm guessing you had a different typesetter for the videos you released? Edited May 29, 2013 by MikeStrider
Pete278 Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 Hmm, yeah. I do believe it's the same person. I'm guessing you had a different typesetter for the videos you released? Yeah, my typesetter was TheRedHydra, who typesets for Commie subs. He did their JoJo's episodes. Very nice guy. I don't understand why he expected me to translate without credit when I could just translate for my own channel with credit, y'know?
MikeStrider Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 Yeah, my typesetter was TheRedHydra, who typesets for Commie subs. He did their JoJo's episodes. Very nice guy. I don't understand why he expected me to translate without credit when I could just translate for my own channel with credit, y'know? I know what you mean, it just seems like the best path. And I really don't get it. He also wanted to "translate the whole game", which is even more curious. Anyway, I'll just leave it with that. I've been running that thread on the JJBA community forums and it's funny enough reading posts from a variety of fans.
ChimeraCoinFlip Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 (edited) It's looking like each part might end up with 5-6 characters. Cept maybe 1 and 8. I wonder how Diavolo will play, cause I'm not exactly sure what his power was. It seemed like The World by the end of part 5. They made it sound different but the way he used it at the end made it The World but maybe better. Edited May 30, 2013 by ChimeraCoinFlip typo
Starlight777 Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 So how does Diavolo's stand actually work in the series? I heard he could skip points in time or something like that and I have no idea how that would translate into gameplay. This is what I get for only reading Part 6.
YoYoCheese Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 So how does Diavolo's stand actually work in the series? I heard he could skip points in time or something like that and I have no idea how that would translate into gameplay. This is what I get for only reading Part 6. http://jjba.wikia.com/wiki/King_Crimson The way I understand it is this: Say I was going to run over to Diavolo, punch him in the face, and then walk two steps back. Let's also say that it takes exactly 10 seconds from the time I start running to the time I finish that second step. My fist hits his face at exactly the 6th second and my foot starts moving to take the first step back at exactly the 7th second. Diavolo uses King Crimson to erase the period of time inbetween the 6th and 7th seconds. What actually happens in this case would be that I get to the point right before impact (5.9999etc seconds) and then the universe skips ahead to 7.1 seconds. Anything that happened during that lost second (in this scenario, the impact) didn't actually happen. I hope that makes sense and I could have some things wrong. If so I apologize.
Starlight777 Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 That makes enough sense and wow is that stand ridiculous.
George Costanza Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 So how does Diavolo's stand actually work in the series? I heard he could skip points in time or something like that and I have no idea how that would translate into gameplay. This is what I get for only reading Part 6. Don't think too hard about it otherwise you'll notice that it shouldn't be possible for Diavolo to move around and shit if he's erasing time
Starlight777 Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 Ok at least there's physical limitations to using King Crimson's abilities. It's not something all around busted like the stands Dio's illegitimate children got in part 6 or even worse Pucci's final stand.
ChimeraCoinFlip Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 stands Dio's illegitimate children got in part 6 or even worse Pucci's final stand. The first of those I think Araki just fell into doing a shounen last minute thing, I haven't seen the second thing to know whatever that'll be like. For as "godly" as I heard the series being before I started reading it, I've noticed so many things that I've had to turn my head from and just pretend it works. Not that I'm bashing it because it's not really worse then a lot of Jump stuff today. I started reading Jojo after this recent boom of life in it (the anime and game announcement) and I'm at part 6, still enjoying myself. When Diavolo fought Metallica, I thought how he used his power there was really awesome, but everything after that just kinda became part 3-ish. I'm wondering if Part 1 Dio's going to be in the game or not. Sure he's weaker than Part 3 Dio but he's still Part 1s villain.
Pete278 Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 Don't think too hard about it otherwise you'll notice that it shouldn't be possible for Diavolo to move around and shit if he's erasing time He doesn't erase the time, he skips it. That's why people can move around.
Aureliano Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 Fuck yes Aerosmith I was losing hope that the other parts might have as much representation as part 3. But there is a distinct lack of villains.
Le Shad Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 Still room for one more villain in Part 5, and who knows how many bad guys Parts 1, 6 and 7 will get. Betting on at least two for 6 and 7.
Pete278 Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 I have to admit, I'm a little intimidated by how long this trailer next Sunday might be. Nonetheless, I'll still be doing my best to sub it if I can secure TheRedHydra's ability to make it look incredibly pretty again.
MikeStrider Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 Dude, you better get lots of rest beforehand. It's now confirmed to be 10 minutes. And if you need any helpers? I'm game. http://www.famitsu.com/news/201305/31034181.html
Pete278 Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 Uuuuuuuuuuuugh 10 minutes. I'll probably just ask my proofreader to help me more directly than just checking my shit if I need any help, but it the only effect it should have is it might take a bit longer to release.
George Costanza Posted June 4, 2013 Posted June 4, 2013 He doesn't erase the time, he skips it. That's why people can move around. Then how is it he can "skip" injuries done to himself? If what you're saying is true then he should be injured regardless of what happens when he activates his stand
TekkamanArk Posted June 4, 2013 Posted June 4, 2013 A better explanation is that King Crimson allows Diavolo to transport himself a few seconds into the future, circumventing anything that would have happened to him within those few seconds as he would not be there. Or, in another way of thinking, he simply stops time for a few seconds and can do as he pleases within it, before time resumes for everyone else.
SoWL Posted June 4, 2013 Posted June 4, 2013 Oh man, this was bound to happen sooner or later... Or, in another way of thinking, he simply stops time for a few seconds and can do as he pleases within it, before time resumes for everyone else. We already have a stand with that ability, it's called The World. What King Crimson does is that it forbids everything to interact with physical objects, moving down their predetermined paths and not remembering anything about it. However, he also has a secondary Stand (think Kira's Sheer Heart Attack), Epitaph, which allows him to see ten seconds into the future. This allows him to properly position himself for an attack right after the "time skip", when anyone would be too confused to defend themselves.
TekkamanArk Posted June 4, 2013 Posted June 4, 2013 I thought Epitaph only applied to Vinegar though. And lol at "this was bound to happen sooner or later" when I was trying to explain to someone how it works in a more easily understood way.
