He makes a really weird face and then spits out a smaller cloud. Only saw it first day, and it seemed to be homing.

I wouldn't expect Bullet's drive to be unblockable simply because people reported its properties (overhead etc.).

I'm not really sure why you guys want Tager to get free wins against zoners, he's supposed to have a disadvantage against them simply because of his design. That is, until he gets close to them, where he can kill them to death. I don't watch match videos that often, so if the latter doesn't happen, then the problem lies there, not in the fact that Tager struggles to approach them.

Speaking of which, Bullet looks like she's going to have it a bit better against zoners. She has a decent fireball, her Drive can close the gap very quickly, and she even has a running grab. As my wishlist for her, I'd like the dash that comes with her Drive moves to have some kind of invulnerability, and for Heat Up to stay after being hit.

shenanigans should only get removed if they're actually broken like "whoops this completely makes this neutral game dumb" or "whoops this makes mixup/defense absurd"

So we should stop playing with half of the cast.....lmao

Air Hiyoku does 2,6k by itself and ground 3,3k. Isnt that a huge damage boost?

Hiyoku? You mean Jin's Hiyoku Getsumei? I don't know about Air version, but isn't ground version impossible to follow up?

In Extend you could either to A Fubuki or another one. As Fubuki is no more I guess not. Still 3,3k is a lot if it still is a reversal.

I haven't watch much latest month but, about 50% of Valkenhayn/Hazama/Taokaka matches ends in time-out and against Lambda one cannot do anything but cry.

What is bad about those matches isn't the fact that they are bad match-ups by design, all characters is going to have them, but becuase it is all about Tagers opponent doing mistake, rather than Tager playing well.

Even with a blocked Spark Bolt he only has 6 seconds to make something happen, otherwise it is back to square one. And as it is so obvious that you're going to use Collider to pull them in, its still ike a 50% that Tager eats another combo, making him falling even further behind.

As Collider's combo routes seems to be fewer now, he is not going to be able to as much damage and cannot always end with Gadget. Voltic Field is going to be an excellent tool to fight Tagers nemesis, time.

I think CSX Hiyoku did 2.6k-2.7k by itself

Nobody is asking for free wins against zoners. We know zoners are the paper to the rock of grapplers. Honestly my biggest complaint isn't so much against zoners (who if we corner they have to get close to us if they want to get past us, so we can at least try to patiently move in and then take advantage of that) as it is against the most absurdly mobile characters (who if we corner just fly way over our head with impunity, leaving us with zero advantages or options).

Seriously. Valk vs Tager is like 10-0 I swear to god. Broken as hell. The guy can go so high that I'm not even sure how the new diagonal spark will be useful. Hopefully they've made his drive less resistant to mag or something.

Hazama, Tao, and Rachel aren't much better with their drives, to be honest. Actually one or more of them may be worse. For some reason I mostly get Valks trying to cheap me out online. I hardly see Taos.

Bullet has a super that kicks opponent intog air then she kicks down on them, and glides upon them untill corner where she does additional attacks. Is this a new 720 or did she always have that one?

Yeah she had that one, thought of C.Viper, Robert, and Dante (in DMC3) when I saw it, lol good times! :D

And indeed, sound effects are sharper and character voices rerecorded.

AGAIN!? Great that means another re-recording for the English cast too = A= hmm well at least this is a whole new title.

Bullet:

Her heat level is indicated by an aura surrounding her, with different colors corresponding to each level somewhat like Akihiko's cyclone meter. I think it went something like orange -> red -> red+red overlay

Lock-on creates a circle around her, and opponents inside the circle are "locked on" with a special crosshair.

As her heat level increases the circle seemed to deploy faster and have a larger radius around Bullet.

The lock-on circle grew larger over time, so I'm assuming its radius can be increased by holding down the button for it.

Her heat level increases through either a certain move or landing a certain combo. Can't say for sure since I didn't get a chance to play as her.

Multiple levels huh...hmm wonder if it affects move properties as well as the Lock radius :o and being able to expand it is cool :D Thanks man!

And I think I just saw Bang counter Bullets drive. Yeah it seems her drive is blockable.

Haha if her Drive was unblockable that would be so amazing ; -; a girl can dream...

No diagonal spark bolt is gonna stop someone just backpedalling in the corner to let the timer run down. Unless sparkbolt can be used as a crush trigger somehow, in which case, lol.

I noticed at Hey Arcade somebody was testing Tager v Valkenhayn. Diagonal 623D Spark Bolt looks useful against him and Hazama. Airborn zoning characters.

I was actually caught now. XD

"Sori, no rekoodingu", but at least they didn't throw me out.

I plan to go tomorrow. Did Mori make another appearance by the way?

Waiting in line is also killer for 2 hours.

It definitely gives us more vertical coverage. But now I'm kinda afraid he'll just pull himself directly over our heads and shoot straight down or something. Maybe that's more punishable or easier to stop though. Valk can throw himself high in the air so fast that I'm not even sure the extra coverage will let us react in time. I'm afraid he'll still be flying over our heads. Tao too.

I'm not going to proclaim that all to be true though. We'll see.

I'm also curious what Haku's new aerial special is all about. So far all we know is it's a downward kick of some sort for 1 magatama.

Do we have any info on changes to his normals? So far all I see is that his j.2A no longer causes him to float, which was pretty much the glue that held together almost all of his combos. I'm sure they're changing other stuff to make up for it, but still, any info on Hakumen would tide me over right now.

Also, thanks Isuna and Valthazeryus. You two are the ones keeping this hypetrain fueled up. I appreciate what you're doing. :)

i was referring purely to telegraphed projectile oki(saw, thirteen orphans, etc) setups because the person i was referring to was responding to SG talking about thirteen orphans, the sort of thing that only takes a small amount of execution for hakumen to completely negate every time, no "reading" at all

Do you by chance mean an official new Touhou game released by ZUN or a doujin group release? There are many doujin releases, but none from ZUN that I know of.

I haven't been doing much. It's mostly all Isuna. I also thank him to because he is the one that got me the information for the loketest. I'm just testing Tager, because he is also my main and I'm just trying to get the Tager information out as a fast as possible to fellow Tager players. I've also been trying to get Bullet information and Azrael, but I'm still too unfamiliar with them.

Other than that it's all Isuna doing everything.

Also, thanks Isuna and Valthazeryus. You two are the ones keeping this hypetrain fueled up. I appreciate what you're doing. :)

All Isuna. Lol. By the way Isuna, everytime I go to Hey, I always wonder what you'd look like. Haha.

However, I am trying to fit my point-and-shoot into my "man purse" right now to try to get a shot up close. It's not sitting in there so well.

The real cabinets up close are nothing to what you guys are seeing at the spot Isuna is getting though. It's really hard to try to sneak in shots however where the cabinets are. They are gorgeous, in my opinion.

Sorry for any mistakes in my typing. Really tired. It's 2:23 AM right now in Tokyo. I have to wake up in 3 hours.

Famitsu seems to have some info on the new characters' backstories, and it has some stuff that wasn't mentioned before. I only have the reposts from JBBS, so it may not be that accurate. Still, here are the translations:

Amane:

Hearing the rumors about a pretty young vigilante, Amane searches for him to add him to his troupe of traveling actors.

Since this vigilante is Carl, they will have major roles in each other's story modes.

Amane is the first revealed member of the troupe, so it can serve as a good source of new characters in the future.

Bullet:

A member of the mercenary troops that were once fighting for Sector Seven. In order to reveal the truth behind their sudden peril, she chases after a certain Sector Seven member named Kokonoe.

Her story seems to be deeply involved with Sector Seven.

Azrael:

Once put into jail for committing a great crime, this uncontrollable soldier has now been released into Ikaruga after a particular order.

He is a cruel maniac who enjoys fights to the death.

He, too, is somehow connected to Sector Seven.

Valthazeryus and Isuna when u guys try tager again can you test any of the following things if possible?

Check if command grabs are still untechable after a guard crush.

Tell us about tagers overdrive. Does it also make the magnetism alot stronger?

Is Magnetism no longer useless trying to pull in valk or hazama out of the air?

Can you buffer 720 from overdrives invincibles startup?

Are crush triggers rapid cancelable?

Did you find tagers moves to be faster when you played it or does it just look that way in the videos?

Check if they gave tager back his voltic charge 720 counter attack that he had in the final arcade version of extend but was removed later in a patch.

Did they made any improvements to Voltic hammer counter attack?

Was spark bolt given any startup invincibility?

Does 6As super armor starts up earlier than before?

Can you still combo after a 360?

Can you combo into or out of grand punish?

Hm. Kind of like Jin's crossup j.D antics. Not sure how good that'll be. Maybe there'll be some more uses for it though.

His crush trigger is in there too a little after it.
