You wouldn't be worried, you mean, they won't partner with Atlus this time? Or is it just too far ahead till the distributor company is known?

Kyosuke you're god :)

I don't see a sarcasm sign anywhere :v:

Also, don't confuse Arcsystem Works (developer) with Aksys Games (distributor). 2 completely different things.

Quit worrying about something that hasn't occurred yet, game isn't even out (in arcades) so why worry about things that are ways away.

Also P4U is a collaboration between Arc System Works and Atlus (who owns the rights and distributes the title), all Arc did was make the (fighting) game (engine/sprites). Atlus has no say in anything Arc does and vice versa.

Aksys games (the NA publisher for Arc) had nothing do with P4U either.

Isn't that what this entire thread is about

certainly seems like it. guess the rule is you can burst while blocking, but once you get hit, you gotta take your punishment.

kinda makes combos into overdrive scary, but it may be possible to burst your opponent's combo as soon as you see the opponent's od activation.

Speaking of Crush Triggers, anyone else excited about them?

Since they do away with the primer system, I am excited for Crush Triggers.

crush triggers are interesting because they may make barrier gauge much more meaningful as a resource and may add some more mindgames/nuance/etc to pressure

depends a lot on specifics and how the game generally ends up, though

how does crush trigger work again? (a link to a post or something would be great if not easier.)

crush trigger sounds like one of the worst mechanics put into a fighting game since TACs.

barrier blocking in blazblue has been and remains to be a terrible system and they are trying to remedy it with more bad systems.

just make it cost tension.

fuck.

Crush trigger sounds like a neat mechanic. I like how it encourages more offensive play, gives the player another option to think about when it comes to spending heat, and it'll add some mind games to the gameplay. A little worried about how it will play out since it is pretty much an instant guard crush- but it's interesting nonetheless.

I do not hate nor love the idea of Crush Triggers. But I have an inkling that they threw it in "Just Because"

crush triggers were probably added in order to balance out every character's ability to guard crush. when you consider how certain characters not only had effective ways to guard crush, but were also incredibly strong (e.g. lambda, arakune, mu), you can kinda see the purpose that crush triggers have in BB. although i say this, they also seemed to have removed two characters (possibly for now) that possess the most frightening guard crush pressure, so it may turn out to be a bit overkill.

of course it's way too early to say how effective this will actually turn out, but i'm not going to jump on the pessimism bandwagon.

25% heat move that guard breaks unless the opponent was barrierblocking, where it depletes a chunk of barrier gauge instead. Chargeable to deplete more barrier gauge.
thank you very much.

I think they did that to prevent japanese players from importing the american (cheaper) version :v:

Doesn't asian version work on Japanese PS3s? It's also cheaper than the US version lol

also was it mentioned if crush triggers are + or - on block?
