I usually agree with you, but in this case is kinda hard to sympathize with your idea.

I don't see the experimentation done on BB as a bad thing, sure not every idea works great as someone expected, but dissing a system that has not been tested yet, just because you feel that is inelegant, or that it cold be accomplished with less systems, is dumb tbh.

Sure i don't deny that sometimes less could be better, but i also applaud the attempt to try different stuff to see what works and what doesn't.

The Innovation comes from the experimentation, and that is something that i like of ASW, that they are not afraid to test new things

I can understand why people are scrambling for Lambda/Mu news. If suddenly Carl and Relius disappeared from the game, I'd be restless for news. If they weren't in the next BB, I'd probably even drop it. Hopefully we won't have to wait too long before there's some definite answers on those characters.

Kinda hard to explore Mu considering she literally doesn't have a personality.

Well...She does. It's incredibly simple--"I HATE EVERYTHING"--but it's there.

Hell, Lambda is an emotionless robot but she still had a story. The real problem with Mu story-wise is that she IS Noel and takes a dedicated effort from Hazama to come out

He means gameplay-wise.

I dunno, in that case I personally feel fine with her being a one-off thing, like Abyss and Night Terror in Soul Calibur III or Onaga in Mortal Kombat: Deception. Bosses come and go.

No, I'm totally not saying that I want her gone because of that wankerof a Mu player who beat me in a mini-tourney by sitting back and spamming Stein's Gunner and Sword of Decimation all match. I certainly am not massively butthurt over losing over and over to her in arcade mode or at all driven to vigorous headdesking by her unfitting outfit.

Mu brought the salt like no other character in BB history. Taking 7K from bitches 100% Welfare style was glorious.

Edit ^^^^^^^

Like people have said countless times in the past, just wait until the final version to see if the Murakumos made it in or not. It would be just plain dumb to have ASW drop these characters simply because of the story.

But what will you say if it turns out they're actually gone. :P

...idgi. :v:

not really. technically, they died.

nu died too but she lives on as a part of ragna. it also shows by her being unlimited-only.

l don't really care if the murakumo's are gone or even if they aren't, but it's an educated guess that if they do somehow get back in, they won't be playable in some way or another. l don't really see them coming back if not fully.

(l mean, there's even a murakumo graveyard...)

Nu died too during CT but see how she came back as a more balanced Murakumo unit (Lambda).

We did get to see the "Sword of Izanami" (or was it Izanagi?) during the CS ending, which looked a lot like Nu. Lambda is dead but people are most likely going to get to play as the sword spamming Murakumo one way or another.

As for Mu, my theory is that she'll be a "berserk Noel". If Noel undergoes certain psychological trauma, she'll tap into her Mu powers ala DBZ style lol.

I for one hope that both of these characters make it back in, even though I'm not a huge fan of fighting either of them lol.

I will say "well that was pretty dumb of ASW" and then I'll shake my head and taste delicious Lambda/Mu tears.

lol Henaki's opinions on the Barrier system, it works well enough within the confines of BB, which is why it has remained consistent in each entry. Breaking through an opponent's guard is what the team hasn't quite figured out, Libra and Primers were terrible, so hopefully Crush Triggers will provide a more uniformed and manageable system. And I can't hate on BB for trying, instead of trying to force down a bad idea they keep trying to find ways to approach concepts from a different angle, and I applaud them for not taking the easy way out and simply making Guilty Gear with new paint. Of course that's not to say I think BB is perfect but hey, it's coming along well enough.

On the Murakumo subject, yes wait until definitive confirmation of a lack of inclusion, but until then...PICK A NEW CHARACTER! >:3

When life gives you lemons, YOU GET A NEW GOD! :arg:

Or you forsake the world (and drop the game.)

I drop games because they change the moveset of my main, so I can't fault Toan. :P

Chun Li ~> not the same as SF2 ~> DROPPED

Nightmare ~> suddenly lost half his moves because they split him into two characters ~> WE OUT

I highly doubt people will be able to actually completely crush your guard solely through crush trigger anyway. They seem slow enough to react to with a reversal so nobody should just be blocking multiples back to back.

The Barrier system is, in all honesty, pretty damn stupid.

It dumbs down blockstrings to staggers, or else it becomes a "get out of pressure free" card. Don't think just barrier and jump out when the chance arrives. It's too easy to abuse, and it became way too good in CSE.

It really becomes a lot less braindead if it came at the cost of your Heat.

But in order for it to cost Heat 1 of 2 things must happen:

- Drastically alter meter gain to make it as abundant as Guilty Gear

- Increase meter gain and retain current stock between rounds

It's just causing unnecessary "Panic" among the BB community. People are asking questions and not getting any answers. I can imagine it's demoralising as hell to play Extend Lambda / Mu not knowing 100% if they're going to be in the next game. Because there is a possibility they won't be in. (Although I believe they will...)

Pretty much this.

Don't know about the rest of the Lambda players, but chronophantasma has somehow managed to kill my love for extend without even coming out.

Haven't touched the game in nearly 2 weeks (never happened before) and i don't see myself touching it again anytime soon.

Just can't practise if i know that there is a possibility (and pretty high) that my main and the only charachter i know how to play a little little bit won't be there and all this work will just go to waste.

In Extend though it's the most improved than all the other iterations.

I disagree. Assuming there are no significant changes to how you build meter in CP, it shouldn't be altered to accommodate Barrier, it'll defeat the whole purpose of meter management and coordination.

But imagine how fun it would be to start a round with close to full meter as haku. XD
