TITANIUM BEAST!!! Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 I don't really care if she's easymode or not, she's just boring to watch. Just, the way her moves animate, the way the character comes together, is very bland. Her DD moves are cool, but that's about it. It doesn't help when you see vids of people doing the same stuff, there seems to be literally no variation between different players. I just hope that will change over time.
The Noble Clap Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 The game is new, everyone is trying to figure out how to butter their bread. People will come out with swag/troll/cool looking stuff later, I'd imagine. Bullet does look very boring right now though.
Bedsheets Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 I think of the three new characters that Bullet is the most "vanilla" of the three. She is definitely more of a Ragna than a Arakune or something. I don't think she is boring, personally, just more standard. Having some more straight forward characters is a good thing, in my opinion, helps round out the roster.
SolxBaiken Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 (edited) Aesthetically I think she's "ok" design aside, I hate her idle/crouching stances and I enjoy watching her; being able to pick people off the ground after a forward throw with a projectile, or back throwing them into the corner, taking them out and throwing them right back in are all amusing things to me. Also I just love watching her toss people around. I do agree there's little variation between players but I'm going to chock that down to "this is damaging and easy to do, and I'm winning!" syndrome. It's only the first week. I'm sure that as the game evolves things will be discovered. I'm actually disappointed in a lack of follow ups to her "command grab"/reversal. AchedSphinx Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 Where are you getting the "does no damage" line from? From watching the computer do like 4 hit combos? Why is it that every new character in every game ever "does no damage" until someone finds out legitimate combos with them? Well, I didn't say she "does no damage" I was saying her damage isn't as incredible as it was in CT and her heat regeneration isn't the same either. In CT she could get damage easy as well as heat, which gave her a lot of options. The Nu now doesn't have the same damage, so her damage is "poor" by comparison. Besides, I was referring to Dia-forma.
Bedsheets Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 Why am I stuck at work for another 4 hours. Nu is out today! Can't wait to start seeing footage of people actually playing her. Hopefully some people at my arcade will be using her so I can get some footage of my own. I would play her but, I am miserable with her. And besides, Amane is pretty much demanding 100% of my attention right now anyway.
Surf Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 (edited) Well Carnival stream is up, someone may or may not play Nu. I could care less, but for you people who do. Here you go Someones playing Jins arcade mode, Izayoi footage incoming Edited November 28, 2012 by Surf

Rorshock520 Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 Is my irrational fear of him making me biased, or does Azrael have a monstrous amount of health?
Lord Cruxis Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 Azrael thread says 11-12k So he's around Tager and Bang health. Neat.
BladeOfJustice7 Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 I wouldn't be surprised if Azrael has as much health as Hakumen. He needs a lot of health for his sort of play style.
Sophisticat Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 Azrael should have mad buff health just 'cause he looks like he has mad buff health and can suplex an 18-wheeler like he was German.
Bedsheets Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 I am more surprised at Amane having more health than Bullet. What?
Rorshock520 Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 I am more surprised at Amane having more health than Bullet. What? My thoughts exactly.
WolfCrimson Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 Wait Bullet is a grappler why the hell does she have lower health than amane?? Isn't Amane the zoner?
Starlight777 Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 I am more surprised at Amane having more health than Bullet. What? Same here. I thought for sure that Amane would be the next 9.5k character. Glad I was wrong lol.
Bedsheets Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 Amane is not a zoner. People think he is when he first see him but he really isn't. He is too easy to rush down to be a zoner. People have no real reason to respect his ribbons, which is what people think are his zoning tools. And there is no way he can hope to hold a candle to a real zoner like Nu. That said he does crazy chip and with high level drills he can do crazy damage and he has good air mobility, so, I assumed lower life as a counter balance to that.
SolxBaiken Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 I can hardly call Bullet a grappler, she's pure rushdown, she just happens to have a churn butter super.
sparkaura Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 Wait Bullet is a grappler why the hell does she have lower health than amane?? Isn't Amane the zoner? Bullet isn't a traditional grapple character though, but her having 9.5 is def surprising. I was expecting her to have 10.5k and Amane at 10k
Bedsheets Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 How would you classify him then? A pressure/momentum character. He wants to fish for knockdowns to make you wake up into drills. He wants to keep making you block his higher level drills. He wants to constantly be applying pressure. It's not really traditional rushdown but, its not zoning either. He doesn't want to play keep away. He wants to constantly be at a middle distance where he can drill you but your fast normals can't hit him. And while he is making you block stuff he wants to command hop at you to make you block ambiguous cross ups.
Errol Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 I thought you could followup the grab by burning heat up state. Well, Not that I know anything about Bullet or have read anything. As you say, I've only seen it as a reversal, and I've only seen standard pressure from her. But I guess I would be surprised if she can't RC it for some real damage. ah wait, why RC when you have a GETB. I have no idea about this char I guess.

I thought maybe Heat Up would allow you to do more with it, but that doesn't seem to be the case so far, as I've seen people land it while burning up and did nothing v.v I think RCing it might be her only option (another thing I don't see though)
