Lol at Rachel's new astral finish. I'm going to have fun with that. :)

Really liking in CP and the new mechanics to the game. This may be the best BB yet. :yaaay:

Yeah multiple lotuses are still in the final version. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=snExQuqJvQk&feature=player_detailpage#t=1227s Though they are only visible for about one second, the Litchi kills one Lotus somehow and the other 2 disappear as well. NVM only one will fly around the opponent.

Effects should stack.. Unless there is still a hidden tech the jps haven't discovered. But I can't really imagine how that would look. One bat launched the opponent already pretty high in the air after 3C 8D, with 3 bats it should send them offscreen, lol.

Speaking of which, it would be interesting if you were able to combine A and B lotus. Bullying Tager/Ragna with 3D all day~

Powerful horizontal wind might also really help against zoning a character like Ragna.

Maybe it can be used to pull in characters who zone better also, like Nu/lambda.

So Lotus actually works in neutral? Like, say they airdash towards you and you do 5d 236a, it will literally blow them away even on block?

If it works without you having to hit them first I can see it becoming pretty annoying xD but so far it looks like it's only on hit...

everyone is coming up with ideas, it's nice. nothing like a little mystery to spark some insights.

@tofurr, lv 3 j2c stuff will probably be ...BBL sj.8d j.2cd frog 3c(or 6a/4b combo route). you only have time for 1 summon after BBL now, its weird.

about lotus, the hitstun may be small but should be decent as disruption/distraction tools. not really harassment, they seem pretty long to set up.

so do the lotuses not attach to the foe on block? also, l assume 3c(lotus)8d will take advantage of 3c's untech time, combine with higher bounce 4b which may mean bigger combos

If 8D with lotus hit still carries as high as in the video above, I assume you might be able to build combos like 3C8D, 214A, anything, frog activate etc.

Also should really be useful for the neutral game (stop IAD all day).

I believe lotus has a lot of potential but it will take at least one innovative player to unlock it.

I think they wanted Rachel to be more about zoning and less about rushdown in this version.

Yeah, a lot of Rachel's changes seem like they were meant to help her zoning more than her rushdown. Lotus does sound interesting, but I wish there was more footage of it so we could theory it better. I want to see if the horizontal wind would be strong enough to make ambiguous crossups. Also, I think it would be cool if she could use Lotus on herself...lol.

I'm still happy that it's now easier to combo into her Astral. It was rare to get into the situation where I could use the pumpkin with 4 winds to combo someone into an Astral Finish xD

This. My friend mains Ragna and when we played he would get astrals off on me so easy. I actually never astraled him but now that will change revenge I say!

I've only ever done her frog + pumpkin into Astral setup once. It'll be fun trolling with this insanely easy Astral, now.

It also doesn't disappear when hit from what I see there. Which is good :)

Now when using 6CD, I wonder if we even need more than one wind for a fullscreen corner carry with lotus.

So, it affects her when she's close enough? That's pretty sweet for corner carry if that is the case

So with the Lotus', I've noticed that once they're summoned successfully, and when it hits the opponent, it disappears after it hits them twice (on block at least). What I'm not sure of is what decides for it to hit the opponent. I guess at neutral when Rachel isn't attacking or blocking?

So I was watching a Rachel player in sparring mode on the game-carnival stream and now I think lotus is going to allow for a lot more combos. Doing grab, 7D floated Tager almost to the top of the screen. The Rachel player didnt have the best execution, but I saw this stuff:

stuff, 3C, 9D, 5CC (first hit whiff)

stuff, 3C, 9D, 5B, JC, j.B, j.C, JC, j.B, j.C, 2D, lvl2 j.2C

grab, 7D, B lobelia(whiff), 3C

grab, 7D, 5B, JC, j.B, j.C, JC, j.B, j.C, 2D, lvl2 j.2C

There wasnt much after that, the guy kept trying stuff that didnt work afterwards like B lobelia into j.C after a lvl2 j.2C. These were all on Tager too...so hopefully they arent specific to him. It looked like j.B, j.C, JC, j.B, j.C, 2D, lvl2 j.2C was a really easy way to hit the lvl2 j.2C though.

If a bat makes contact with the opponent the wind effects become stronger. 22A for vertical wind and 22B for horizontal wind.

Rachel DLC palettes

Apparently, 2nd row 2nd palette is Homura color. I don't know what to think of this, doesn't look like Homura to me. Miku palette being gone makes me sad though.

Woa, that's insane. This will make her throw combos stronger I think. Maybe 214A 3C works if they really float that high.

Seems like Lotus is used to make Rachel spend less wind for combos, her corner carry ability is so scary too. They start to become more useful from day to day. I can't wait to see more Lotus usage now.

Looks more like Kuroneko to me.

In fact it's too perfect a match not to be. She is already basically Rachel as it is.
