I already mentioned that D attacks during OD are level G and not level 3. and meteor dive (2nd part of corona upper as I recall), and lightning arrow both bounce them off the ground during it. I think that's pretty neat, it's going to give probably pretty strong combos, damage and carry, probably, off of DP (during OD only), and off any starter I'm guessing too.

People just haven't posted any combos yet, but I'm sure they'll be figured out.

Yeah, it's to early to tell anything just yet. Makoto could be really strong once all of the combos are figured out!

It's all I do sitting in training room finding the most ridiculous combos possible optimal or technical, I'm just afraid combos won't be as fun in CP.

If she is crap again, I'm not getting CP. If they make her stupid strong but boring, I still won't buy the game. I want her to be fun and viable, and stop giving her dumb/unnecessary nerfs. The more I hear about nerfs, the more my faith in BlazBlue dwindles. They should just buff the hell out of the entire cast and just nerf what NEEDS to be nerfed. It may be just a loketest, but there's still too much bad news so far. I really want Makoto to be a solid fighter again, she is too good of a character to waste. If she doesn't get the buffs that she deserves, consider me gone. (Please, don't screw up Arcysys.)

Whew, now that that little rant is done, any GOOD news on her loketest changes? I've clearly seen all the negatives...

I wish Makoto could have grabbed two things from her Unlimited counterpart. 1. Throwing Nuts 2. 214214C After all, quite a few characters are getting fancy new flashy distortions and all.

If they gave her Abare Tosanami and Victory Acorn, I would have no need to play any other character in BB ever again. Now if she could get a OHKO off of SA2 like her namesake can in 3S, I would never need to play another game ever again. The i-frames on that distortion are sweet too. Wake-up SUPER SQUIRREL HEADBUTT would be a thing.

And about Makoto's changes in BBCP, against my better judgment, I'll give ArcSys the benefit of the doubt a little while longer. I wouldn't be as mad if all the Bullet footage didn't indicate that she's a better version of Makoto in damn-near every aspect.

I wouldn't go that far. Bullet (supposedly) requires a lot less skill to use and is classified as a lightweight grappler. They are nothing alike from what I can see. Bullet looks like garbage compared to Makoto in every way to me. So she has big tits... Whoopty-f**ken doo... The design has no soul put into it whatsoever.

That really wasn't necessary. Plus they made her dash slower too... So Makoto's boxing skills go out the window a lil more lol.

I'll stay tuned and see what they can pump out. If enough Japanese fanboys complain to the developers we may get a lil more outta her.

I would love for something in between CS and CS2 makoto.

i remember when arakune mains got dramatically upset and worried at loketests(every. single. one) and when makoto mains got worried as fuck about cs2 loketests and etc etc etc etc etc you dont know shit about how she's going to end up or if the info presented is even accurate("CS1 Bang 6c hits crouchers?? Cool!" "oh..that wasnt true at all" etc etc) so hedge your worries heavily

The design has no soul put into it whatsoever.

I don't approve of the outfit. It's her personality, fight style, and how well she fits in the game that does it for me. Outfit can go to hell for the most part though, it was obviously rushed... But Bullet's outfit is far worse in my book, and she seems boring.I will try Bullet, because the game has been needing a lightweight grappler for awhile. I just hope they did it tastefully.

To those worrying about Makoto's nerfs (Myself included) Almost every character thread that has discussed characters in CP has started out with a pattern.

People getting all excited about the characters strengths and them being hard to beat in this game, and then after awhile, the nerfs become apparent and they start going into a doom and gloom state.

It's to early to tell anything, not a lot of combos have been tested, no one has actually had the time to sit down for awhile and actually play around with Makoto (Or any other characters who supossedly got nerfed.)

It's just to early to tell anything, the best we can do is wait for the Arcade release to get clear footage and ideas from there. Bitching about nerfs and cons to Makoto is going to do very little Arcsys's plans for Makoto and any other character. In other words.

Don't worry until we need to start worrying.

It looks like Makoto's gameplay is identical to Extend, though. Changes to her are pretty minor.

Looks like 214 acb launches a lot higher now and no meter air throwing goods will be nice. lets hope the big changes are mostly in her frame data since she was hit really hard in that area in extend. Also is 6b faster or is it just the game playing faster now?

Gameplay is definitely faster. When they land, hits don't slow down as bad, and overall play is faster than before. I'm gonna like it.

I can only hope that Makoto's OD right now is a cruel joke. I heard people complaining about not being able to do anything good with it, and thought that was weird since it sounded like Makoto-version Blood Kain, but now I see it: it only lasts 2-3 seconds.

Like...da fuck? That is NO time to be able to do something worthwhile and makes it basically absolutely useless compared to a burst.

Edit: Yes, I do know that OD duration is based on health. And here is a video from Isuna that shows her activate it with <35% health and it lasts about 3 seconds (enough time for 5CC > 5D > 2D > jD > 2B).

Uh, the amount of time an OD lasts entirely depends on how much HP you have when you activate it, the lower your HP the longer the OD lasts, same for everyone.

Looks like Stargazer is back, it used not to connect at all on crouching opponents.

You can clearly see the huge initial dash speed nerf. Also, 5B otg'ed sliding Valk, could it be 5B lower hit box buff? i hope so as it may help us vs Taokaka.

Shoutout to this Makoto player, destroying everyone with Zessica palette and actually having and idea about how Makoto plays.

My opinion? BBCP in general looks so beautiful, i liked it, but the new Makoto is full of fail. She hardly changed from Extend (as someone who played Makoto in EX thats a good enough reason to be mad) which was somewhat boring and limited already. Also, she hardly adds anything new to the character diversity now. First we lost our tools (AV/3C/Parry/Comet/j.2C), then our insane Max damage capabilities and Oki flavor, and now we are loosing the only thing left for us, our int dash speed, in EX her normals and speed gave her an insane mid-close range footsies potential along with her ability to chase, she had her place as the footsies goddess in EX but now she will lose it in CP leaving her with nothing.

What you guys think about CP Makoto? Correct me if i'm wrong on what i just said above.

I'm really liking the Lander Blow (Makoto Spins her arm in a circle and then punches the ground when you let go.)

I believe that's her CT, the animation looks identical to what other characters do along with the knockdown.

通常コンボはもう割とな。A始動で3000減るってわかっただけ安心はするけど

立ち回り弱体化した上に崩しも平凡ってなると、あとはODワンチャン火力にかけるしか魅力ないなあ

シューティングスターの壁張り付きが長いから端コンいける距離がだいぶ広くなったな

そのおかげで平常火力はだいぶ上がった気がする

2人とも同じ近接格闘スタイルのキャラだし、マコトはコンボをただ難しくするための良ドライブ持ってるし

リーチも長いラグナ使ったほうがいい

動き早くて触って小パンで固めて固めて中段で崩してコンボ

対空も6Aがスマートに使いやすい

マコトはCS2で強すぎたからEXで弱体されただけでしょ。それでもやること単純だったけど

CPは別に弱いわけじゃなくちょうどいい強さって感じだし

I dont think she is that bad on the CP loketest atm. EX makoto doesnt have good match-ups but at least they are winnable. Since the majority of the cast is losing damage, her match-ups will get better. Some characters didnt change that much for the better too like platinum,rachel, bang, etc. Most of her really bad-matchups will be better and the others will be stay the same. I like EX makoto. I just wish she had better midscreen damage on ex but on CP at least everyone is being leveled down to her level mostly, so im fine:)

Most of the characters are getting nerfs of some for or another, wheather it be Makoto's Dash, nerfs to Noel's Chain Revolver, nerfs to Rachel's Frog special, or the nerfs to Nirvana's durability when playing with Carl. Either way, you can't expect everything to last. Eitherway, we have to take the good with the bad.

Honestly, I don't think CP Makoto sounds to bad, yeah we got hit with nerfs, but we didn't get bludgened as severely as we did from CS2 to CSX, and some characters were murdered with the Nerf Bat in CP. I guess I'm saying it's a little bad, but it could be worse.
