4r5 Posted January 3, 2007 Posted January 3, 2007 It looks like there are two kinds of throw brakes, Early and Late. Early is like in Third Strike, where both players are at neutral. And Late is like in Super Turbo, where attacker is on the ground at advantage and defender is in the air at disadvantage. Only just noticed - but did they relocate Chipp (finally)? :0 Yeah. It would seem that Dizzy hooked back up with Testament and Chipp moved in with Bridget.
shinquickman Posted January 3, 2007 Posted January 3, 2007 ^It could be like that, or each grabs have their own break properties. IOW, recovery is probably unique for each grabs.
SirSmoov Posted January 3, 2007 Posted January 3, 2007 this game has t5 dmg....and wow...eddie combo into unblockable setup is like bryan fury wall combo...will 2 out of 3 rounds stay the standard??
drzero7 Posted January 3, 2007 Posted January 3, 2007 I think it's more like you can choose which stage to fight now rather then some of these characters moving into another area. (I mean, didn't they added more stages, along with re-doing the old ones?)
9TNine Posted January 3, 2007 Posted January 3, 2007 I think it's more like you can choose which stage to fight now rather then some of these characters moving into another area. (I mean, didn't they added more stages, along with re-doing the old ones?) Not all the old ones are in the game anymore. They moved Dizzy to Testament's stage, Chipp to Bridget's stage, Faust to Zappa's stage, and now Millia and Axl share one of the new stages. -9
incognegro Posted January 3, 2007 Posted January 3, 2007 i didn't read all the post in this thread way too many but has anyone seen or even mentioned this mess they did with eddie now. Thank god there are no more unblockable but they just subsitute it with other mess like 2:35 just look at that mess there is others but its too much to post http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QkPKU9YRh3I
Zakuta Asura Posted January 3, 2007 Posted January 3, 2007 Well, they had to appease Eddie players. I kinda missed all the unblockable crap - from XX and #r =p
Spirit Juice Posted January 3, 2007 Posted January 3, 2007 Eddie's new H move (assuming it's H for the puddle) seems to have a crap ton of proration on it though. Maybe something like 60 or 70 percent.
Zakuta Asura Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 your alone with that All that shit is what made Eddie so good. Take that away and you have a bunch of Ky players. ~~~~~ Yeah, the new Eddie grab thing seems to scale quite a bit.
burningvigor Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 I think the puddle thing is a good substitute for the drill. Doesnt do that much but still gives you the joy of doing a unblockable after a knockdown mini eddie combo.
PozerWolf Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 All that shit is what made Eddie so good. Take that away and you have a bunch of Ky players. Ummm... no. Take away from Eddie, Jam, Robo-Ky, and alot of other mid/top-tier characters and you have Slash.
TITANIUM BEAST!!! Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 I think the puddle thing is a good substitute for the drill. Doesnt do that much but still gives you the joy of doing a unblockable after a knockdown mini eddie combo. Well, with the way his new summon K works, you have stuff like summon into summon K, rush for a little bit, then do 2D or 6K into Drunkard Shade and combo into knockdown, then set puddle and do unblockable. Still pretty strong, he can get a solid 50-70% off of this setup from what I've seen.
Zakuta Asura Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 Ummm... no. Take away from Eddie, Jam, Robo-Ky, and alot of other mid/top-tier characters and you have Slash. We is talking about Eddie and how he was shadow of his former self (ha!) in Slash only. No other characters need apply...at least, not yet.
RedBeard Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 New Eddie unblockable thing does scale a ton. He won't get more than like 100-120 out of it tops. Thing is, it's a shit-ton of damage combined with his awesome pressure/mixups. Then he's also gotten great at zoning/wasting time for little Eddie to recharge in AC. The big drill allows him to waste TONS of time pressure wise for little Eddie to come back. He also has some FB move which restores his little Eddie, but it leaves him pretty vulnerable. I've only seen it used once. If you tripped them with a far drill or something I think you could pretty safely do it though.
Jet Set Dizzy Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 I think the puddle thing is a good substitute for the drill. Doesnt do that much but still gives you the joy of doing a unblockable after a knockdown mini eddie combo. yea i agree i thinks its a good substitute... eddie accually looks really fun in this game...
Zerite Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 What does everyone think of the new vids on Chariot? I think they show the potential of the new systems. On a side note, these 50% combos are freaking ridiculous.
Darkhonor90 Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 LMFAO@ Kaqn doing 3FB to kill Chip on volume 7 That was amazing
Zerite Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 I think it's amazing how close all the matches were.
burningvigor Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 um.. can johnny still do 1 hit ensegna? After watching that unimpressive ac combovid, i noticed how he never did 1 hit ensegna in his combos.
Hellmonkey Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 punish Baiken's new guard counter for 90% life, lol!
drzero7 Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 Man, that's ALOT of Chipp... Anyway, I wonder if any of us USA players be that good with Chipp. (I haven't seen one in that level in my area) I guess players like Shin Kensou can be that good given a couple weeks of practice. (But I never met him)
Zakuta Asura Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 um.. can johnny still do 1 hit ensegna? After watching that unimpressive ac combovid, i noticed how he never did 1 hit ensegna in his combos. 1-Hit Ensengas are no more.
Spirit Juice Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 Not sure if Valle is still interested in GG, but perhaps he'll be a top Chipp player if he puts his mind to it. I'm sure he could too. lol johnny combo vids Same combo x infinite.
4r5 Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 1-hits are still around. Just diffrent setups, I'd imagine.
