Tokkan Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 (edited) Nu wasn't created in Kagutsuchi, though. Kagutsuchi was just where her tempering was completed. If you've seen the Sector Seven EX Story, you'd know that Nu was actually used in the Nox Nyctores smelting that Relius tricked Kokonoe into helping him do. And it's not like the non-sidestory stuff from Materials Collections has not been contradicted before. Ragna apparently has now always had his white hair even though the Materials Collection said he was originally a blond like his siblings. Edited October 22, 2012 by Tokkan
SolxBaiken Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 I thought his hair turned white due to the trauma of having his arm severed

Tokkan Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 Where was this stated? afaik, nothing has contradicted his post-armless hair change.
Chaoschao222 Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 Well, if that's the only support, I don't really think it's been contradicted so much as a mistake was made. Also, weren't the CSX illustrations done by someone else (I don't know if it was story cgs or not, I just recall something being different than usual in CSX).
SolxBaiken Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 I don't think it's so much a "mistake" as it is just fiction being fiction, his hair turns white because of his arm getting axed, so it happens, they don't care about the little details in between. Fiction (especially Japanese fiction) isn't exactly known for keeping everything within the realm of reality.

Circuitous Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 Y'know what else sounds stupid? Caring even slightly about a fictional character's retconned hair color.
harmless kitten Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 I thought Ragna's white hair was a simple mistake. That, or he was a platinum blond all along and it only looks pure white in that picture. The Azure Grimoire then bleached his hair gray-white. Hair doesn't just spontaneously bleach white after trauma anyway. It falls out first and then grows back white. I think SlaveRed is most likely referring to Tsubaki. IIRC, the mind control spell Nine used on Terumi (and the same spell that is being used on Tsubaki) was Ruby: Mind Eater. Ruby. Red. SlaveRed. No idea on Enchant Dragon though.
Lord Pwnge18 Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 Wasn't Ragna's hair turning white due to Rachel turning him into a vampire? I could have sworn his heterochromia went in hand with that..
Chaoschao222 Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 Heterochromia was the only aesthetic change caused by Rachel, the hair was due to trauma.
Tokkan Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 Wasn't Ragna's hair turning white due to Rachel turning him into a vampire? I could have sworn his heterochromia went in hand with that.. No, his heterochromia is because of the BlazBlue affecting his body's right side, including his eye. Rachel only ever bit him in one loop, and IIRC it was only just biting him, no mention of turning him into a vampire.
harmless kitten Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 I think Rachel only bit him in the first loop. Even then, I don't think he was ever a vampire. Dhampir (wow, what a silly word), whatever. The red eye is connected to the Azure Grimoire. He gets it a little while after Rachel unseals the Azure Grimoire under the church, and it goes blind when he loses its power in Phase 0, just like his arm. edit: I was late, ah well.
mAc Chaos Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 I don't get why she would bite him just the first time and not the other times, if it was what was supposed to keep him alive. Didn't she do that to save his life.
harmless kitten Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 Temptation? Rachel regards that time as a sin. As far as I know, it's only mentioned in her CT arcade mode and in her short story... This is what her arcade ending says about the subject: "With eyes like jade, she stares at me. Those eyes remind me of my sins... ...of a far, distant past. The boy whose blood I drank...the only one... The day I sunk my fangs into an innocent, helpless human. The day I had no choice but to act as the vampire I am. My first and last... ...sweet, sweet sin..." And then she brings it up in Endless Waltz, only to get embarrassed. It seems like she's only drank his blood once. Maybe the first time she didn't have the means to help him, and tried to save his life. And then somehow Ragna being a (half-)vampire popped up from this. That may have been in the cards once (Ragna has an unused sound clip in CT that points to it), but it probably isn't any longer.
Chaoschao222 Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 Ah, was sure the eye was a Rachel thing, nifty.
Tokkan Posted October 23, 2012 Posted October 23, 2012 I think SlaveRed may be associated with the "Crimson [Demon/Magic] Eyes" term that popped up in the first trailer and also in the opening. Reason being that they appear close to each other and at roughly the same time in the opening. This may narrow down what it refers to.
Tokkan Posted October 28, 2012 Posted October 28, 2012 (edited) Double post. I decided to try and read that shit at 0:06-0:08 in the opening movie. Here's the best I could read (some words may have been read wrong, asterisks mark words that were illegible to me): Blazblue 3rd Episode The world was under the control of the unit called "Amaterasu" meant the thing that lights the sky. And the world ******* timeline was the vessels of interferences. One possibility. One event causality. And the fate. This is the story of rebel against the chain of destiny fate, whatever you may well be to break that binding existence And to reach beyond the NEMESIS HORIZON The CHRONOPHANTASMA So the Lord scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth: and they left off to build the city. Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the Lord did there confound the language of all the earth: and from thence did the Lord scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth. | Genesis 11 8-9 This most likely means nothing, though the quote from the book of Genesis about the tower of Babel probably refers to that huge tower at the centre of Ikaruga, Which, again, probably means nothing. Not going to do the text at 1:19, it's mostly Japanese and apparently a quote from the book of Revelations chapter 3 (not sure what verse) and it's pretty much all illegible. Weird seeing references to Abrahamic religion (specifically the Judeo-Christian side) in BlazBlue. And yes, I know what Sheol is. It's still weird. Edited October 28, 2012 by Tokkan
Meta77 Posted November 3, 2012 Posted November 3, 2012 Do you guys think this game will wrap up the main story of blazblue or will there be a *story cannon 4th*
Koopa_Klawz Posted November 3, 2012 Posted November 3, 2012 Do you guys think this game will wrap up the main story of blazblue or will there be a *story cannon 4th* I heard that this will wrap the story of sector seven and the six heroes but not the whole story. But, I can't find the source though.
Meta77 Posted November 3, 2012 Posted November 3, 2012 Ive heard the same but I am so baffled. Also did anyone mention or know who that girl is in the opening movie. Shes seen only for a brief moment before it starts showing off everyones astrals
Circuitous Posted November 3, 2012 Posted November 3, 2012 If you mean the girl at 1:10, it's pretty clearly Tsubaki.

But, I can't find the source though. http://www.siliconera.com/2011/07/01/were-about-halfway-through-the-blazblue-saga/ Mori says here that there will be one more game after CP to fully wrap up the story. As for CP finishing the stories of S7 and the Six Heroes, I think that's from one of the Famitsu articles; you can find links to translated parts in the news thread, I believe.
Meta77 Posted November 3, 2012 Posted November 3, 2012 What happended. She looks slightly different by a lot if thats her.
Circuitous Posted November 3, 2012 Posted November 3, 2012 She took her coat off. That's literally the only thing different about her. Her eyes have been red since she switched sides and the hairstyle's identical, including the beads on her whattayacallems. Sidelocks? I don't know, I don't have hair. Point is it's pretty blatantly her.
