00Bubbles00 Posted February 23, 2013 Posted February 23, 2013 (edited) Haha I agree with that. I actually don't think Nine is the actual mom. I believe Ragna, Jin and Saya are test tube babies created by Nine, possibly to be perfect ars magus users or something. We all know that Nine has dabbled with human experimentation (ie: nox). It is also hinted that Ragna is artificial. If Saya and Jin are related to him, then they might be artificial as well (no big indicators of this yet, other than maybe Jin's inhuman power of order). This is why I mentioned in my deleted post as reasons why Jubei felt obliged to take care of Ragna, why Celica took in the 3 kids, and why Terumi is "interested" in them. TPPR10 Posted February 23, 2013 Posted February 23, 2013 Bit of a side-topic, but would it be rather (not sure what to put here) of Trinity pretty much screwed the world? And by that, I mean, she was the only one who really knew that Bang had Phoenix: Rettenjou with him. So when Hazama met up with Bang, he probally took time to look back at that particular loop to figure out that he had Phoenix: Rettenjou with him, thanks for Trinity sayng that to Bang. Okay, maybe Hazama would have put one and two together to figure that out (which might not be that hard, unless Rettejou wasn't always a giant nail), but something to think about. Also, I wonder how did Tenjoy even get that thing in the first place? I would believe myself that Trinity gave for safekeeping to Tejou's ancestor (unless Tenjou was born already during that time).
harmless kitten Posted February 23, 2013 Posted February 23, 2013 Man, Jin alone already crosses any line there was, and then there's Nu. We're far too past the Incest line. Well Jin and Nu are intended to be weird and creepy, but I don't think Celica's fondness for Ragna is supposed to be (though I do find it a little creepy anyway). @00Bubbles00: Nine was killed in 2110, so to jive with your theory the trio would have to be stuck in some form of cold sleep or storage for nearly 80 years. Creating the Nox Nyctores felt less like human experimentation to me than human sacrifice; although, the creation of a significant (most?) portion of beastkin (especially the creation of the Kaka clan, who even have biological safeguards to prevent from becoming too numerous) confirm that someone was messing around in trying to produce excellent soldiers. I think Jubei felt obliged to take care of them for simpler reasons: Ragna was Ragna, and he brought Jin and Saya along because it would be cruel to leave them. Alternatively, he knew something was off about them from the start. Jubei then brought them to Celica, and she seemed pretty overwhelmed by meeting Ragna again (and something about fulfilling her promise to wait for him?). @TTPR10: Eh, I think without Trinity Relius probably would've figured it out anyway. I think upon seeing Bang's nail in CS (can't remember if it's his story mode or Platinum's) he murmurs "Kushinada's Lynchpin...?" Trinity let her heart screw everything up in the first place. If she hadn't convinced Nine to release the Mind Eater spell, things would be very, very different. Did she give it to Tenjou's ancestor? If anything, Nine probably would've had custody of it. I think Rettenjou was lost after the Dark War. I'm not sure if it even had a wielder; the thing seems more of a backup plan in case they couldn't defeat the Black Beast.
TPPR10 Posted February 23, 2013 Posted February 23, 2013 I know Rettenjou was lost after the Dark War, but the question is, how? And how come Trinity knows its whereabouts? And how did Tenjou got his hands on it?
mAc Chaos Posted February 23, 2013 Posted February 23, 2013 What is so creepy about Celica liking Ragna? I thought it made sense.
00Bubbles00 Posted February 23, 2013 Posted February 23, 2013 @harmless kitten Yes, I was thinking "storage" kinda like those murakumo's in the coffins, and then they were awakened later by Phantom and Terumi for some scheme. Or they could of been created by Phantom under the direction of Terumi for some scheme. Terumi would be working behind the NOL at that time so he would have the resources. Hopefully CP will shed some light on the origins of Ragna, Jin and Saya.

What happened to the Nox after the war: Take-Mikazuchi: No clue Yukianesa: Stolen by Seven, was not sealed Bolverk: Mysteriously vanished, was not sealed Nirvana: Sealed, was later unsealed by Relius using Ada as a catalyst Musashi: Sealed, no sign of it being unsealed Ookami: Sealed, no sign of it being unsealed Muchourin: Sealed, but Trinity unsealed it using herself as a catalyst Ouroboros: Was not sealed Rettenjou: Was not sealed Edited February 24, 2013 by Tokkan
Tokkan Posted February 24, 2013 Posted February 24, 2013 how can ookami be sealed if haku uses it I dunno, but I think Hakumen's able to channel his Power of Order through it to act a replacement power source.
Tong Posted February 24, 2013 Posted February 24, 2013 how can ookami be sealed if haku uses it Pretty much like a sealed weapon, think of Izayoi, you can still use it but not at full power. Can't even imagine how 100% Power Haku+Unsealed Ookami was powerful
Tokkan Posted February 24, 2013 Posted February 24, 2013 Pretty much like a sealed weapon, think of Izayoi, you can still use it but not at full power. Not sure about Izayoi, but the way Nox Nyctores work is they get their power from the souls sealed into them as cores. Their power is "sealed" away by removing those cores. Though Rettenjou is different in that it's core was originally the core of Kushinada's Lynchpin, not a soul.
00Bubbles00 Posted February 24, 2013 Posted February 24, 2013 I always thought Hakumen's power comes from his Susano-o unit body (something special) and he just hits people with ookami like a regular sword.
harmless kitten Posted February 24, 2013 Posted February 24, 2013 What is so creepy about Celica liking Ragna? I thought it made sense. It wouldn't be if she hadn't raised him for at least a couple years. The fact that she did kind of makes it weird, especially on Ragna's part. It'd be like being hot for the young version of the old lady who raised you. At least it's not as creepy as it could be if she had raised him to be like that. @Tokkan: So that's how Trinity ended up in Muchourin. Thank you for that explanation. I had thought that Ookami was unsealed as well.

Chaoschao222 Posted February 24, 2013 Posted February 24, 2013 Ragna spends most of the games not knowing things.
mitsuyoshi Posted February 24, 2013 Posted February 24, 2013 Ragna spends most of the games not knowing things. Yeah, like everyone who play this game, all of the thing happen is still really confusing for the characters in the game and the player, but we sure will get all the answer when the time come and about the nox nyctores, i think it still have some of its power that can be use even when the chores is gone and that will explain why Noel Bolverk and Hakumen Ookami is still usable, but not as powerful when they use it when it have the chores.
TPPR10 Posted February 24, 2013 Posted February 24, 2013 @harmless kitten Before your comment, I was fine with Celica caring about Ragna even after all those years of him being "gone" in her respective, but you just managed to turn it creepy insanly. Thanks :| IT ALL LEADS BACK TO INCEST You and you thinking that everything in BB is incect (even if this is sig worthy) Lastly, I honestly think that Ragna, Jin and Saya were normal until fate decided to kick them in the crotch
harmless kitten Posted February 24, 2013 Posted February 24, 2013 (edited) Ragna has some moments where he thinks that Celica feels familiar, I think, and I remember him thinking that she has a laugh that doesn't annoy him (whereas most girls laughing does irritate him). I think it's supposed to come across as quite sweet...but having Celica take care of him as a child makes it weird, even if the Celica that's alive now is a different Celica. But he might have never even known Celica's name when she raised him--he just calls her "old hag" in his story. Edited February 24, 2013 by harmless kitten
Agni Posted February 24, 2013 Posted February 24, 2013 Ragna has some moments where she thinks that Celica feels familiar, Ragna got a sex change? Damn, and we thought Mori was insane enough. (I kid, I kid)
harmless kitten Posted February 24, 2013 Posted February 24, 2013 Well, Ragna is considerably more common as a name for women...
