BlackYakuzu94 Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 Hazama is using phenomenon Intervention to prevent Ragna from using the Azure since he's in control Takamagahara since the end of CS. Given that Ragna, at this point, possibly possess more than enough power to wipe out Hazama, it makes sense he'd go through measures to prevent him from using the Azure. It'd be kind of boring if Ragna just killed him outright. And it's not like Ragna hasn't improved at all. He steamrolls over Tager(then again, this isn't much of a feat considering he's the series` resident jobber), Tsubaki, and holds his own against Hakumen, Nu, and Azreal(Keep in mind for the first two he needed to use the Azure to beat both of them, and for the latter he wasn't completely roflstomped like everyone else was before busting out the Azure.)
NovaFortuna Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 I see, it makes a lot of sense if he keeps blocking Ragna's full power to win. It's also pretty fitting for Terumi's way of doing things. And let's be honest, the Azure is what makes Ragna so deadly, without it he's still pretty strong, but not much difference with other tough guys of the cast. I mean, he was being pushed against the ropes by Azrael like all the other victims until he decided to use the Azure, then things got good.
BlackYakuzu94 Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 Of course Azreal revealed he was holding back too, so take of that what you will. His ending is still one of the most GAR things to come out of the series. Two badasses going at it in a fight to the death, it's amazing.
BlackYakuzu94 Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 ....So then Ichigo *banned* On a real tip, what explanation does anyone have for Azreal's Overpoweredness.
NovaFortuna Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 On a real tip, what explanation does anyone have for Azreal's Overpoweredness. I go with the artificial human one, that he was made to be an attack dog (no pun intended) for Sector Seven, was out of control so they gave him the Enchant Dragunov to take it easy, he didn't so they sealed him away. And now uses the seal to make fights interesting. Just specilation, no basis here

It would definitely explain why he's so capable of super strength. Or maybe he was an ordinary human, but was experimented on by Sector Seven so that he became a super soldier!
Ctrlaltwtf Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 He's Kamina's twin brother. Except the universe couldn't contain two Kaminas, so Azrael was forcibly ejected into a separate dimension upon birth.
BlackYakuzu94 Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 He's Kamina's twin brother. Except the universe couldn't contain two Kaminas, so Azrael was forcibly ejected into a separate dimension upon birth. But Kamina was technically the weakest among the cas-oh shit, we're getting off topic again. Uh uh, so how about that immortal Amane.
Ctrlaltwtf Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 But Kamina was technically the weakest among the cas-oh shit, we're getting off topic again. Uh uh, so how about that immortal Amane. What is Amane's power supposed to even be? Like how (storywise) is he even supposed to remotely hold his own in a fight?
Dawn of Musou Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 I feel like Azrael was already OP before Sector Seven discovered him, then they decided to power him up and make him even more OP. He got out of control which is why they put Enchant Dragunov, but it didn't really do anything to stop him so he just uses it for his entertainment.
harmless kitten Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 I still don't get that. In CS I thought Ragna was being stomped because Terumi was blocking his Azure and when Lambda came by she allowed Rags to bypass that block, fight at full power and defeat Terumi. Then I thought things were simpler, Hazama was just stronger, Ragna got the Idea Engine and became even stronger and won. But now this happens, Terumi beats Ragna again. Did he just allow Ragna to beat him up in CS then? He did, actually. Ragna was supposed to kill Terumi. He just beat him into the pavement instead, but Terumi knew that Ragna would win. In any case, Ragna couldn't activate the Idea Engine in CP because of phenomena intervention from Takamagahara and the Imperator. I think you guys are exaggerating Azrael's strength.
BlackYakuzu94 Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 I think you're severely underestimating him considering the shit he's been doing since dropping in.
TD Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 It looks like amane uses some magic. Maybe. Otherwise, maybe he's just another Bridget, I mean, it's not like Bridget had any special powers. And, just like Bridget Amane doesn't seem like a main character. Annnnnd Bridget was able to beat I-no in his story mode? Which would seem pretty silly in the real story, just like amane being able to beat rachel would (probably) be. This is assuming amane is just a non important character
Master Of Chaos Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 Azreal is the love child of Hazama and Rachel. That's my theory and I'm sticking to it!
kylehyde Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 I don't want to bring this old horse back in the fray, but when Rachel talks about Ragna's upcoming death to Izayoi. I think she already knows that Azreal is the one who is going to kill him. He did bust out that Dragunov which basicallly means Ragna is going to get blasted to the netherworld. No offense, but his azure/idea engine doesn't look like it could stand up to it.
LionHeartx Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 What is Amane's power supposed to even be? Like how (storywise) is he even supposed to remotely hold his own in a fight? He drills/cuts niggas with cloth so i'd assume he can kinda utilize seithr like Tao. Wouldn't be suprised if it magic though. Actually when he runs doesn't he like....glitter? Yeah magic.
NovaFortuna Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 And of course the possibilty of being immortal, that alone guarantees that he knows some neat stuff about the game's events.
mitsuyoshi Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 Well,i think Azrael is powerful, but i don't think he is that strong either and i pretty sure, what make him become powerful like that must have something to do with sector seven and Kokonoe and if is true, then maybe Kokonoe refuse to use magic is because of her using it to Azrael and making him become a total monster like that and because of that she feel a shame to herself because of what she doing,as for Amane,i think he still playing around, because he seem more important than his look and he's the Ame no Uzume must mean something and the source of his power is,maybe another sealed weapon like Izayoi or a Ninjutsu if he is Tenjou son. Ragna once again have a formidable enemy doesn't he?Is a good thing to see though for him to face such ordeal, really want to see if he can pass this test.
Volt Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 I thought Kokonoe felt ashamed because she helped Relius.
TPPR10 Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 First of all, I am 99% certain that Azrael put Enchant Dragunov to himself because even he thought he was too OP and it was too boring. Second, I refuse to believe that Kokonoe has something to do with Azrael (aside of is prisonent). Seriously, calling people from Sector Seven "Kokonoe and Co." would be fitting, as every one from there seems to have some sort of connection with Kokonoe. So having Azrael not have much relation with Kokonoe would be actually relief.
YukiBlue Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 They fucked up with Azrael, You can't just throw in a newbie and makes him THIS Uber stronk that he laughs in the face of the protagonist and the heroes. C'mon Moriiiii iirc Azrael imposed the limiter on himself to stop his opponents dying too quickly
SolxBaiken Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 Why can't he just be a blood thirsty, homicidal maniac? It's pretty obvious that he's the only character to devote is life to fighting, and hasn't he seen war? [which only about 1/5 of the cast can even say] Some men just want to watch the world burn, with no method to their madness.
TPPR10 Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 Why can't he just be a blood thirsty, homicidal maniac? Wait, you're saying that we can have people these days who are just evil? YOU MUST BE CRAZY! But I argree with you. Not every one need to be complex. Azrael simply comes in, kick ass, takes names, steals bubblegum and leaves, and I am fine with that. p.s. sig
BlackYakuzu94 Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 Why can't he just be a blood thirsty, homicidal maniac? No, not at all. Like I said, I like this about Azreal. When this blood thirsty, homicidal maniac comes in and starts steamrolling over the supposedly powerful characters with no enhancements, then it gets a little iffy. But yea, considering how batshit insane he was, Tager & Kokonoe probably had something to do with his imprisonment, and Azreal more than likely wasn't happy about that.
