BlackYakuzu94 Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 He has that effect on people. He's quite the charmer that Hazama.. SPEAKING OF WHICH, let's get off the subject of Ragna for a sec, as much as I love the guy I wanna talk about Hazzy. So....what's his role in this game, because from the info so far it looks like Relius is taking center stage this time around, so is he just gonna troll Ragna this time around or what?
hipikachu Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 I hope I see moar Hazama Tsubaki-netorare troll. It was entertaining to see Haku flip his shit seeing that.
Wander Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 I hope I see moar Hazama Tsubaki-netorare troll. How could you hope for that

So....what's his role in this game, because from the info so far it looks like Relius is taking center stage this time around, so is he just gonna troll Ragna this time around or what? He mentioned going to off Tsubaki in his Arcade mode to Makoto, so perhaps he'll be involved with that little plot. And he always has to troll Ragna. And everyone else.

After seeing what Relius wants to do with the lynchpin, Hazama needs to step his game up and find more people to screw over. Ruining Ragna's life just isn't enough anymore for villainous material.

I'm sure he's planning on just about screwing everyone else out there over somehow.
heavymetalmixer Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 Maybe he must be the distraction for Ragna and other characters, so they don't interrupt Relius. And trolling of course :P
DoobyLovah Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 I meant in CP. It isn't cool to build someone up in the previous titles and make her look promising in CP, only to make her look so powrless and weak in the end. But we'll just have to see in the end. I want Hazama, Relius, and Azrael dead by the end of CP but I'm sure that won't be the case, as the fates of BB characters directly converse to the population they have with players.
DoobyLovah Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 What? You mean how Rachel gave her the harshest scolding she's ever given anyone? And then in the last few seconds Litchi tries to say something but it's fragmented in the same way Arakune's speech was in CT and CS? I can see how that can piss off any Litchi fan. forgot to r/quote. im so new to DL lol

You're talking about Litchi right? I thought that was kind of the point of her character though. Everyone is always telling her that she's powerless and that there's nothing she can do. It kind of makes sense that she'd end up that way imo. That said, I don't fully comprehend the difference of her situation vs Ragna's. She's trying to save ONE guy and Ragna is pretty much vs the world but everyone encourages Rags to never give up despite how impossible the odds are. It looked to me like Litchi had a better shot, but I guess I was wrong :V I kinda feel bad...even as someone who pretty much hates Litchi. As for the second thing you said...I hope you're joking :\
mitsuyoshi Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 Maybe he must be the distraction for Ragna and other characters, so they don't interrupt Relius. And trolling of course :P Well, for me i think Relius is the distraction, because if you think about it Hazama always have some nasty plan hidden in his mind, you know that's he is fooling everyone with all the Mu problem and absorb Takamagahara power and build some lifelink with the imperator while everyone distracted by Mu,that's why i think he have some nasty plan in his mind because if you think about it everyone already preoccupied by Izayoi(not to long but i think it gave him some time to set up something)and Relius problem, maybe destroying the owner of the Master unit or even create another black beast, but i think he want to destroy the master unit owner, because i positive this Master unit is a nasty news for him.

It looked to me like Litchi had a better shot, but I guess I was wrong :V I kinda feel bad...even as someone who pretty much hates Litchi. Ragna's trying to stop something terrible that could affect the entire world, as well as fulfill a vengeance. Further, while his opposition theoretically out deus-ex-machina's him, Ragna does have a very broke power source at his disposal. Further 2.0.... who's the everyone that encourages him? Most people seem to tease him or tell him to not fight something... Ragna's decisions may ultimately lead to his downfall, but he's still trying to make the world a better place, through... aggressive means. Meanwhile though, you have Litchi.... who is just some chick going into the very depths of taboo just for the sake of a guy she loves, without any real power outside of a cool panda and a bendy stick. Her decisions will ultimately lead her on a path that will destroy herself and hurt those that care for her. Their situations are pretty different.
mAc Chaos Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 Litchi is betraying everyone and everything to pursue a lost cause that's going to get her killed or worse. Ragna isn't.

Relius, maybe. Azrael? I have no idea why someone would hate him other than some pretty bad "collateral" damage when he was sent into battle supposedly. I'm assuming he Patriot Apocalypsed your dog or jacket-kicked your friend in the chest or something.
DoobyLovah Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 Litchi is betraying everyone and everything to pursue a lost cause that's going to get her killed or worse. Ragna isn't. Not necessarily true. Sure Arakune story-wise is a pain in the ass and plays no true part in the central story except eating Kaka babies and sounding like a raver high on ecstasy, but while literally NO ONE cares for him (give or take Relius), Litchi is the only one who is even fighting for him in the first place. And while the means to reverse him looks impossible, the fact he vaguely remembers her and gets hysterical when she appears shows that all hope isn't lost. That being said, Litchi isn't betraying her friends for one disfigured guy--it's practically the other way around. Everyone is so busy fighting each other and doing their own thing they don't take time to listen to her cry for help. You might say Kokonoe, Rachel and Tager warns her what she's getting into, but she has no other choice. Especially when they practically refuse to help her. Plus, it's a really nice sub-plot that does a good job of taking away from main story but doesn't make itself irrelevant.
Rishtopher Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 Explanation Sorry, I misspoke when I said "everyone". I mean that Jubei and Rachel keep telling him to never give up, and because they're significant figures of influence for him, I counted that as "everyone he's on friendly(ish) terms with". There's Tao too, but like...she's Tao. I'll accept what you said about his goal to better the world, but to be honest, I'm not really clear on what he's doing; other than stopping Terumi, which means stopping bad things from happening, I guess. I mean, yeah, he's trying to stop the NOL but what is the NOL trying to do in CP? I remember reading that Relius is going to use the lynchpin to remove seithr, which in turn stops armagus/ars magus from working, but I don't even get how that benefits the NOL as an organization. It also sounds like it's what S7 wants. It also means that in the future, people don't have to live in/on mountains. Anyway, sorry, I'm getting lost in my thoughts here. Litchi's struggle just seems to be more relatable and less impossible of a task. For one, she's a scientist who studies seithr and its effects on biological organisms, right? She's also a really nice doctor. I just find it weird how little people supported her in the story. Did Kokonoe try to help her at first, or was she like "Oh man, he's long gone. Don't waste your time."? To be fair, they did try to reason with her and get her to stop but I feel like they could've easily captured Arakune all those times she ran into him and sealed him somewhere while she could work on a way to save him (alone if need be). Maybe just as a courtesy, like "Yeah, he's screwed but, we don't want you to hurt yourself. Here, take him. Go nuts." Quick Explanation Because she sided with the NOL? Yeah, I'll give you that. I find it weird that you say Ragna isn't pursuing a cause that'll get him killed though. He comes the closest to death than anyone in the story in every game, doesn't he? He puts himself in harms way to try and fight a fight that, up until recently, was literally impossible for him to win. I feel like the main difference in the Litchi vs Ragna's situation is that Ragna has miraculously gotten powers to back up what he wants to do (not discounting his working for it when he trained, Idea Engine fusion etc). I feel it's a matter of luck.
DoobyLovah Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 Hazama, maybe. Relius, maybe. Azrael? I have no idea why someone would hate him other than some pretty bad "collateral" damage when he was sent into battle supposedly. I'm assuming he Patriot Apocalypsed your dog or jacket-kicked your friend in the chest or something. I guess I should give him a chance. He looks like a poor man's conservative version of Algol and I'm assuming story-wise, he is gonna OP because he so "godlike." Hazama's gotta die because I have no love for trolls Relius' gotta die because his badass-ery contradicts his lame attire and when Rachel, alledgedly and arguably the most powerful char. story-wise (as of late) gets scared of someone, you know there's a problem.
Ctrlaltwtf Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 (edited) I'm assuming he Patriot Apocalypsed your dog. That would probably make me want to brofist him and quickly point him towards all the people I want disposed of. on a random note, does anyone even remember that satellite thing Rachel uses in CT in the ending...I can't even remember what it was called. Edited January 18, 2013 by Ctrlaltwtf
DoobyLovah Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 Tsokuyomi Unit. Maybe it'll be her new Astral one day.
Ctrlaltwtf Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 Tsokuyomi Unit. Maybe it'll be her new Astral one day. Wouldn't be at all surprised if it got retconned.... I can't even find pics of it on Google Images. I found plenty of other interesting pictures though. I never knew Rachel had one of those.
Chaoschao222 Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 The "satellite thingy" is Take-Mikazuchi, the Nox owned by the NOL, Rachel's Tsukuyomi Unit is her absolute defense shield that she uses to stop Take-Mikazuchi's attack.

Tokkan Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 There's actually some unused voice lines in CS that indicate that she was going to be able to activate Tsukuyomi in fights. And strangely, it was actually recorded in English. Seems weird, considering Hakumen's unused "Kokuujin: Rehhyou" lines are only in Japanese. (Hakumen was at one point in development going to get Jin's C DP, but as a super instead of a regular special? Dafuq?)
