Finally seen some Noel play today, and cant believe how hard makoto was screwed in the dash department, seriously noels is way to freaking fast, I almost couldn't believe, Im talking unlimited noel speeds in EX. Shes defiantly gonna be my most feared match up with makoto in CP

I can't say I didn't see that coming. He was based Lambda god before he was based Squirrel god and Goro did

go back to Lambda briefly in EX. Now Lambda's got a shiny new paint job with new features and I fear he's going to cross over for good this time. D:

...oh well. Makoto is better this time around. There will be new people to pick her up now. I just thank him for making EX better than what it actually was for a Makoto main. Hopefully Ryota or someone else godlike picks up the slack in CP.

5B - Recovery might be quicker again but this is purely based on sight.

Looks like that for me, it will actually make sense since its not jump cancelable on block anymore.

3C - Also looks faster to me in total. Invincibility windows and properties may have been altered as well, was actually able to duck under Amane's 5B.

Noticed, I'm 99% sure that 3C Invu is extended somehow. Glad to see one of Makoto's trademarks becoming useful again.

j.B - CH still long untechable time.

Looks like it have even more untech time, not sure. Anyway, j.B untechable time was good in EX, its just j.B CH launch send oppoenents too high, Increased gravity fix that in CP.

214A (A Vision) - I swear to god I saw Ragna or someone 5B and it went through Makoto but I might just be tripping. If it does have some sort of strike invincibility that'd be hilarious.

Saw it, that was Ragna's CA not his 5B, CA's always whiff for no reason.

214A~C (Lunatic) - I believe this has SMP for whatever reason. I wasn't really expecting it but I saw Makoto do an RC combo with it and the second time he did it the opponent flashed blue, I THINK.

Confirmed, saw a Makoto doing 214AC CH Frame trap > 2A > 5B > 5CC > 214AC. when the second Luantic Upper hit Amane flashed Blue and there was that "Same Move Combo" written on screen. Not a big problem since we don't need 214ACB in our combos like in EX.

214B/C~D (Arrow) - Still sucks. Was beat by Bullet's 5A, which looks like a good anti-air in general anyway.

:( its doesn't vaporize guard primers anymore, they should make it better in a way to make up for that.

46 (Parry) - It's still there. That's about it :toot:

If they at least remove the counter hit state frames i'll be happy. Seriously one of the funniest and most unique tools in BB, it defines Makoto as the brawler she is yet they nerfed it to death which was unnecessary.

OD - Obviously Makoto's drives become level G allowing for silly combos. Otherwise level G moves may have better frame data than level 3s. Level G 5D spam is legit. If you do Particle Flare just before OD ends all 3 hits will still count as OD version (which also means you don't have to time anything!)

True, OD is not only a damage boost. 5D 2D Cosmic Ray and maybe j.D all can make your Neutral Better in OD, Lander Blow will be + on block and unmashable so it will make your offense better. I'm even guessing they only added Cosmic Ray and Lander Blow for this to happen lol.

Shooting Star can make any hit from 1/2 the screen into a corner combo, sorta broken lewl :I:

Edit: I hope they add more stun to j.2C, removing the recovery should do the trick but will make it safer on whiff. Its like the only move in BB currently that make you get punished for landing a successful counter hit with wtf lol! I really want to see it more viable

Had some free time to watch CP goodness

-Lander Blow lvl2 is a legit trap, lvl3 is a slow move that resets the pressure when its respected... pretty nasty, i thought it will only be useful as Mars/Gazer frame trap or Lander Blow reset mix up.

-Let the squirrely game begins.

-Watch the minute 4:03 of the video above, notice how 3C avoided Cosmic Ray even through 3C was at its last frames!! i know it was 3[C] version but still COOL.

-CT have ridiculous vertical hitbox, should catch jump out's easily

I saw Makoto doing OD > 5CC > j.B DP > j.B DP the second had SMP and the penalty was on both corona upper and meteor dive my speculation was right about the same version of DP having an SMP. Forgot in which video i saw this.

Edit: Taokaka match up looks worse and worse with each game ~.~ ~.~ ~.~ ;_;

Yeah she's really retarded in BBCP there's no doubt about that. I'm just glad Makoto is legit in BBCP and doesn't require 5x more work than most of the cast to get results.

Btw Eishii, this has been bothering for a while, at Summer Jam when you played against kaeru he told me you did a followup from a CH j.B that was somewhat related to 214A~D and led to a corner carry combo but he couldn't describe it properly and I didn't see it either.

That is because Taokaka is more and more OP each game.

I think Tao in CS2/CSEX were ok (except for the taunt loop and that), but now she is like in CT now. She's dealing so MUCH damage out of nothing, she will be a pain this time around for everyone not just Makoto.

Gah, we have more BBCP Makoto footage in 4 days than we had with BBEX in a year!!!. Makoto is really overused in BBCP, and tbh, most of dem Makoto players were decent yet they win vs better opponents... braindead squirrel? seriously i didn't see even CS2 Makoto getting as much used as this or even win as lame as it. True we had 4 SBO squirrels but that means nothing to the usage ratio, there was 100x more Jin and Noel players in the SBO qualifier. I'm afraid of Makoto turning into a braindead rushdown character bandwagon :/

Makoto is braindead in this version so far, I mean not much effort is required execution wise to get better results than most of the cast, and with Ragna being really tuned down some may play her instead now. Within the first month once all the characters are released you'll have its true player base, for now its just an exploration phase.

Taokaka is clearly one of Makoto's worst matchups. It's always been like that. lol

Doesn't everyone feel that way? Hard to think of a char people would say they have an advantage vs tao on.

I did tried Tsubaki and Litchi out of rage after loosing like 15 clean match vs Tao. Guess what? i won with both of em although my experince with Tsubaki and Litchi doesn't exced the story mode. Makoto vs Tao is like one of the worst match ups in BB trust me

After thinking, yeah, I dont see much Ragna, Jin and Noel too. So this Makoto will be probably the most used so far.

I think the fact that Taokaka is faster in everything than Makoto kills her rushdown, her stronger attribute.....she's annoying as hell, just below Arakune xD. So, Makoto and Bullet are the most used characters so far then, right?

Let's just say there's no such thing as neutral game against her, gotta somewhat corner rape her since her HP is extremely low and she doesn't have a DP so you can abuse of unsafe pressure and frame traps, and with 6C 214A~D bringing her right in the corner it might help a lot.

I'm just saying Tao is one of those characters everyone hates to play against. I'm sure it's a bad matchup. It's one of Tsubaki's worst matchups because trying to get any charge is a joke. Even in the CS age of retarded Litchi/Bang, I think it was tsujikawa that ended up winning SBO. BUt shrug, enough about that.

Is the argument that Makoto is braindead in BBCP just on account of doing high damage? Surely I feel that way about Ragna in CSEX sometimes (like you can just random out a few matches with incredible firepower/inferno divider)
