I guess at least now you can Trans-Am when you're low on stock but still want to keep up pressure, or stay in GA for the mobility in certain match-ups. Could also see using it and then switching back to normal mode. Still a questionable use of 50 Heat. Why can't they just remove the stock requirement altogether?

I like that it potentially costs less stocks now, so I feel like it's even more useful now that you can get it super cheap. On the other hand, don't you need stocks to do Trans-Am combos? What exactly are you expected to do without Valkyrie Astraea or Strike Fall? Also, it's going to be nice to combo Strike Fall into Valkyrie Astraea. Now we can combo GA anti-airs without wasting rapid cancels. You can probably also use it to extend combos that use 3C, but not Valkyrie Astraea too. It should be fun to mess around with.

I was just thinking more about the Strike Fall -> Valkyrie Astraea change, and now that I think about it, that should make TK Noir Edge a legit overhead now, since that means that she can now do Noir Edge -> Strike Fall -> Valkyrie Astraea -> combo, so now that's not just a rapid cancel gimmick anymore. I hope that's how it works out anyway. 14f overhead FTW!

It's just stuff I saw floating around, I'm just hoping Izayoi doesn't loose to much in return for a DP.

Celerity Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 Yeah, if Strike Fall is only cancelable when you reach the ground (I haven't seen otherwise?), then some kind of landing recovery would be implied. I think this is quietly a nerf to strike fall oki, but a buff to AA confirms/stock usage/overall damage.

Plus it seems like they've buffed Trans-Am? Looks like Transam is now doable with any number of stocks but it still requires four for full duration. Otherwise it starts out partially empty according to the number of stocks you had, i.e. 1 stock = 25% gauge.
skd Posted October 8, 2014 Author Posted October 8, 2014 Izayoi also has new cancels, definitely saw 6A 214D, dunno about cancel properties though. Run speeds look pretty different? I dont know if its just aspect ratio, but ive got a feeling. Also, izayoi has a new high block animation, haha.

So does that mean Aegis blade on block can still be teleport canceled? So just cause I can't read Japanese, so for trans am, does it consume a maximum of 4 and a minimum of 1 right? So was it mentioned if its possible to control how many gets consumed like pressing X number of buttons = how many it consumes or is it always gonna take 4 and/or whatever remain stocks you have under 4?

Considering aegis blade has a lot more recovery now, i'm guessing it can't be teleport canceled. I assume trans-am uses up all remaining stocks up to 4. Strike fall also seems to be somewhat hard knockdown, but very short? Valkyrie astraea still seems comboable midscreen. Need more info, the two matches that were shown don't reveal much of what's new.

Had to go to sleep, but here's some things I garnered from those matches: Her DP is most probably not teleport cancellable and has increased recovery, launches backwards and not as high Her teleports seem to be faster; at least the B one since 5B > 5C > 236B > 214B > 2A is possible In overdrive mode, her valkyrie astraea does like 3 hits while going all over the place and her OD combos look like utter badass She seems a bit faster in general, but choppy, low framerate video can give a distorted impression
