That Hakumen 6A was the entire episode IMO. Too bad Noel summoning guns had to take up the entire budget.

Nu is such a beast lol. Eating bullets for breakfast.

Only on Dustloop can people blame the animation for being good - how dare they spend this valuable resource on a character no one likes!

Yeah, I don't think we'd get any more decent animation even if the Bolverk summoning scene was out. Yeah, it's a perfect opportunity for obvious jokes, but listing it as the episode's downside is just silly.

Noel; full blown animation complete with materialization from portals with plenty of light effects, goes on for what feels like 5 minutes.

Nu transforming afterward for battle with Noel; puff of badly animated smoke.

WTF?

I actually think that was supposed to be 5b.

Makes me wonder if more normals are going to become 10x stronger in the anime.

Theoretically any normal attack should be lethal. Look at Hakumen's strikes. If he cuts you through with 5C you're not going to live. It's just that the game itself has HP for balance and because it's a game.

It's all the budget they had mang lol. But still, why was it so long lol.

Except this is anime, where a guy can get hit by crazy-powerful attacks for half an episode and still keep fighting.

Anime FGs like BB are closest to how anime actually works, everyone gets slammed with attacks for ten minutes and they still get up :v:

I liked this episode a lot, it had some good fights and I learned a little bit more about stuff I didn't get in the games. Like for instance, when Nu tells Ragna that this time she can speak. And they cut to a scene with Ragna stabbing what appears to be a sack, and looking pretty sadistic at it.

Noel didn't pass out immediately after she yelled stupid at Ragna, another cool extra bit of difference than the game.

Honestly I'm glad we're done with CT and get to move on to CS. I'm sure before the series is over we will hit CP as well.

I'm finding Ragna and Rachels random flight abilities hilarious. I mean we all knew that Nu could do levitation and therefore probably fly, but Ragna's apparently having no trouble keeping up with her for those clashes in the cauldron room.

I keep expecting Ragna to say "THE **** IS YOU!?" every time he encounters someone like Hakumen, but I guess he's just gotten used to all this by now. It's odd because he used to call all of the weird stuff out in the games, but this Ragna seems to just go with the flow.

I gotta say though, I did like the new details; like Ragna's creepy murder grin as seen in that tiny flashback of him killing a Nu clone, and his "I hate this stupid world" moment. He seems a little less of a generic main character now, though I really ought to play CT before passing judgement on him.

Well this episode was a hell of a lot better than the first.

Still plenty of awkward animations but it could be much worse. And the fight scene with Ragna and Nu was pretty kickass.

Although Haku 6A > Haku CP OD combos.

I thought this episode was pretty epic. My only real complaints are that Noel should've done some more Chain Revolver gun slinging then just firing random bullets from a distance. My final complaint is that Rachel hasn't really done anything yet, but I guess that makes sense because she's an observer.

"ALTER MEMORY"

Could just be English for Altar Memory. It would fit due to it revolving around CS, which revolved around the Altar Stage.

Also, Ragna doesn't swear nearly as much. I prefer game Ragna more than Anime Ragna.

Also ragna got stabbed through the abdomen where he keeps a lot of his vital organs. Pretty sure that's definitely a fatal injury, but noel's gonna fix it up with a bunch of tylenol or something XD.

Ragdoll is a vampire, he regenerates quickly.

er..

he is a vampire right? did that get changed or do I remember wrong

The Azure Grimoire doesn't care about fatal injuries. He'll be fine.

They retconned that so it's just the Azure Grimoire at work.

Before it was all about half vampire because of Rachel's first bite to save his life while he was unconscious and bleeding out after his arm got chopped off.

Kind of wonder how he managed to live now since he didn't get the Azure Grimoire until way later.

That was already discused, we just don't know, but i think his regeneration is because of the Azure.
