Actually, it's not that clear who cut Ragna's arm. The only thing that appears is that Ragna is looking at Saya and then suddenly there's a crunching noise and his arm is flying. And since Jin and Terumi were close enough to cut it things get unclear again. (Note that even though Terumi says "oops, he cut it off" he might be actually talking about himself)

So here's the QUALITY gallery for episode three. Honestly, unlike the previous installment there isn't much really excessively headbanging: It's mostly just some minor proportion issues and strange faces (including the Hazama face seen elsewhere) . Do notice however, the amazing moving paper within the first two shots!

(I would actually like there to be more mistakes along episode two's blatancy, because laughing at the animation is majorly the only reason I'm watching it at this point)

Yeah, nearly naked Jin getting dominated by Rachel would spawn some really ugly fanart/ships. The lot of the ignorant shipping BS going on since this released is driving me nuts. The last thing I need is something as nightmarish as Rachel x Jin getting taken seriously by someone.

Hell, Valk was the one who did the knocking. I still remember the nightmare listening to that ero* dialogue where they have a very R type doujinshi vibe. And Rachel being the ya fangirl since ever.

I haven't gotten to post in here, yet - here's what I think, since I'm not going to get any relief until I get this off my chest.

We burned through CT in 2.5 episodes. For me and Blade, that's probably not a big deal, but for anyone that doesn't know WHY the time loops are bad, WHY Ragna is so essential to them, WHY Rachel behaves the way she does, it carries no weight.

That being said - it's pretty faithful to the Original, and I'm enjoying the story, but we have to talk about something...

The quality.

Like, they put a lot of money into some things -

Bolverk - IDK why.

Linhua - looks fine!

NU-13 - looked fine!

Rachel - looks fine - including some of her effects.

Ragna - here and there but I guess they prefer thinner characters.

Relius - looks godlike

Terumi - looks cartoonish

The Scenery - looks fine.

Hakumen - Aside from the one perspective shot that was really bad, he was alright.

But every other shot contains SOMETHING that is jarringly messed up.

I'm gonna complain about Litchi - They can't seem to draw any single part of her consistently. Best example. BLows Jin in episode 1 away.

The show is seriously alright - It's nice to get a little more freedom of vision in the BB world, but when it's Jarring and distracting in terms of proportions, perspectives, and too many fanservice shots...This show isn't good.

Right now, it's like Shuffle level. It's not Tsukihime level where nothing is ever moving, but it's really sad to see how hard the studio tries in some places and then completely stops in others.

Now that they actually "fixed" the horrible pacing I guess that the only jarring problem with the anime is that the fight scenes are too short. Isn't this supposed to be based on a fighting game? Then how the hell can they slack on the fighting scenes!?

Yeah, the 3rd episode was better. But, I feel like the damage has been done already. I'm kind of annoyed because I think a 12-episode series on JUST CT would've worked out a lot better. But, now we're stuck with these episodes where fans of the series barely know what's going on, let alone anyone else. No bueno. I just keep feeling like they're just going to keep throwing in more and more characters with no ability to set them up in any decent way. And because the majority of them were supposed to have met and such already, I feel like everything is just going to be awkward from now on.

I know you have to expect some liberties to be taken, but...this isn't good. I want people to be able to get into this, because there's a lot of cool things that go on in the story. And, I really don't think this is going to help...

The issue is, aside from RAUNCHY UNCENSORED BOILED EGG EATING ACTION, the blazblue anime is really quite shit. Certain things they elaborate on, like showing Ragna to be pretty psychologically fucked up in the second episode, are pretty cool, but that's only comparing it to the game. Anyone new won't even have that to enjoy.

It's a really massive disappointment.

I am not sure about that. I've heard a few people so far being like "this is pretty cool, I need to get into this" after seeing only the anime. Then they found out about all the lore and went all in.
