Shinhwa Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 (edited) o____o *covers face* Litchi looks weird now that I see it paused D:... Also, it does make sense that although in the game, they kind of forced fights between characters (well it is a fighting game), in the anime they could avoid that by making the characters talk instead of fighting. Because even in the game if you think about it, fighting all the time seems a bit unnecessary. Example is the last episode where Litchi takes a fighting stance at Noel after she tells Litchi that she is looking for Ragna. In the game that would definitely lead to a fight, but if you think about it rationally, it's like saying after Noel shoots Litchi down, she like tells her that she really is looking for Ragna, which is kind of weird... =w=;; But really... now that I think back to Episode 1, I really feel they could have put in the dialogue between Jubei and Ragna at the beginning and extend the episodes somewhat... =___=;; Edited November 6, 2013 by Shinhwa
SoWL Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 Quality Litchi in this episode: Being underwater and sat on kinda justifies such face, don't you think?
Agni Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 LOL @ that sad Rachel face. Yeah, nearly naked Jin getting dominated by Rachel would spawn some really ugly fanart/ships. The lot of the ignorant shipping BS going on since this released is driving me nuts. The last thing I need is something as nightmarish as Rachel x Jin getting taken seriously by someone. >HOW DARE PEOPLE HAVE FUN IN A WAY I DONT LIKE THAT MAKES ME VERY ANGRY You sure get mad over what other people do for fun. Do you realize how much of a petty dick you sound like? On-topic: Has this anime improved in the slightest since the firet episode or should I just watch it for the "so bad its good" factor?
BlackYakuzu94 Posted November 6, 2013 Author Posted November 6, 2013 Well aside from the first half of this episode, its....gradually improving.
Agni Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 Eh, maybe I'll catch up later. I honestly wish this show had a higher budget, they had potential here but it just seems...generic from what I've been reading.

I actually want a scene/situation where Ragna and Jin are in a public bath or in a hot spring. Jin probably going to try to wash Ragna XP For the anime so far, First Episode = random battles without much plot and explanation of wtf is going on (fine for the gamers. bad for the watchers who are not familiar with the game) Second Episode = Gets better. Noel vs Nu-13. and more Nu-13 and her lovey dovey towards Ragna <3 Third Episode = Terumi the troll appears. Rachel goes badass with Tsukuyomi Unit. Litchi Breast grab for all the guys who love her. Carl the brat gets owned >:3 Fourth Episode = Moar Taokaka. Makoto and Noel. No battles. Lambda-11 armor/visor-less <3 Fifth Episode = Fanservice for the half of the episode. For all the guys who love Noel, Litchi and Rachel. Ragna goes HATE on Noel after he sees her Bolverk. Platinum and Trinity appears (Platinum kind of looks cute in this episode XP). Lastly, Lambda-11 Appears!!! (YAY LAMBDA <3) Eh, maybe I'll catch up later. I honestly wish this show had a higher budget, they had potential here but it just seems...generic from what I've been reading. I wish they did too. If they made this a 24~26 episode anime, they could have really explained the whole plot and concept better and made episodes that pertain to other characters more. But they cramped it in 12 episodes and things all seem rushed pretty much. Edited November 6, 2013 by Shinhwa

I mock shippers (or rather, their ships and pairings) for fun. Just like bad anime. How dare you get angry at what I do for fun! Take your ships as seriously as you want. It's within my rights to think they're dumb and baseless. As for the anime, watch it for the "so bad its good" and the occasional hilariously badly drawn frame. Agni Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 I'm not even much of a shipper, but you come off as really petty. It's not like their FORCING you to do or see anything. And your "fun" is rather mean-spirited and just plain dickish. ANYWAY, on-topic for the actual anime, I recently read throughout the whole thread. Consensus seems to be that it's getting better but is still mediocre. Regardless, maybe I'll watch it anyway. Goddamn funi site though, it's slow as hell. I'm amazed CR didn't get this. I'm not big on fanservice but does Platinum show up in ep.5's desperate sales grab fanservicey beginning or is she introduced afterwards. I will put up with anything for swimsuit!Platinum.

Just watch the anime on nwanime or something o.o;
Agni Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 Mentioning how I will watch in any more detail is against the rules, so I'll just leave it at that.

I will put up with anything for swimsuit!Platinum. Shows up after. The hotsprings scene involves: Ragna, Noel, Tao, Litchi, Rachel (Nago and Gii too I guess).
Narroo Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 Shows up after. The hotsprings scene involves: Ragna, Noel, Tao, Litchi, Rachel (Nago and Gii too I guess). I wonder when we get to see Azreal in a bikini? Already got him in a dress.
RifleAvenger Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 I wonder when we get to see Azreal in a bikini? Already got him in a dress. Bikini? I'd expect them to just throw him out there in a tight speedo.
Tsuki Garyuu Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 Bikini? I'd expect them to just throw him out there in a tight speedo. This.
InWithTheAshes Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 (edited) Presenting this week's gallery. Special attention goes to Litchi's distressingly interested face, EYES, CG furniture, inconsistent statue designs, inconsistent food appearances, inconsistent road lines, spaghetti whirlpools, decapitating whirlpools, Tao's magical bikini top shading effects gone wrong, TWILIGHT CROSSEYED, and members of the cast pretending to be Superman. Also can somebody make a GIF of Tager sliding motionlessly throughout the air, that was amazing. Edited November 6, 2013 by InWithTheAshes
Shadow Draygon Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 I like how they try to make a plot point about how Ragna doesn't have his sword with Noel, and he just magically has it in the next scene.
SoWL Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 I like how they try to make a plot point about how Ragna doesn't have his sword with Noel, and he just magically has it in the next scene. He walks back to the hot springs, awkwardly picks it up and curses Rachel a hundred more times for teleporting him so far from the city and not having the dignity to teleport him back.
InWithTheAshes Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 Are you saying that's what actually happened, or was that a joke. Because I'm pretty sure that's not what actually happened .
SoWL Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 Are you saying that's what actually happened, or was that a joke. Because I'm pretty sure that's not what actually happened . Well if you have a better explanation, be my guest. But seriously, them having to walk back to Kagutsuchi after the sudden Rachel teleport felt a bit dickish on her part.
InWithTheAshes Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 Even if what you said was the case, my referral towards things that "actually happened" indicated things that were actually shown within the episode. Whether it's explainable or not, the point still remains that there is no account, or even hint of how he regained his weapon, and with such a lack of indication of what you said being correct, the entire incident can even more likely be seen as a mistake on the writer's part.
Luminos564 Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 Presenting this week's gallery. Holy shit, Ragna's hair actually loses the spikes when wet? I thought his hair was some kind of super secret Ars Magus that existed outside our perceptions of reality since it defied all laws of nature and physics previously.
InWithTheAshes Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 Holy shit, Ragna's hair actually makes him Dante when wet? Yes.
Luminos564 Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 Yes. This reminds you of this ? I'm sorry, I just don't see it. I'd have at least gone with Mitsunari. Joking. But yeah, that was a nice little touch on the animator's part. It's like I am looking at an albino Jin but at least the animators are trying to show how they come from the same gene pool.

I lol'd at that, they really wanted to show off Bolverk some more. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
