Zazz Posted October 29, 2013 Posted October 29, 2013 I wouldn't expect much from Funimation. Would it be too much to expect a dub with the the game's english VAs? I know Patrick Seitz and Laura Bailey work with Funi a lot, so at least Ragna & Platinum are set.

I really do like how they are trying ot show some details in the world, but then can't draw Litchi with a decent face except in close up shots. Also - from before - what is the point in a shot of Noel's chest? :P Also - Lambda! <3

AM still has big problems without any comparisons to the game such as often shoddy animation, pacing, fight scenes that go nowhere (So we saw Jin launch a shitty Ice Arrow, get ax kicked once and is out for the count, Hakumen uses 6A and launches ragna into pillars then some shit happens with blood kain, I genuinely can't remember, then Noel gets a crazy gun summoning sequence then PLEASE LET THIS LAND ad nauseum until she gets wrecked, then a fairly decent fight with ragna vs nu but pads it out with stupid looking "clashes" that looks like squiggles. Then broke as fuck hazama 5Ds). I'm being perfectly serious when I say I tune in just to watch Hazama/Terumi and listen to the OST.

(Namely derp Ice Sorrrd, and Ragna's screaming) Episode two: Still awful, Haku's 6A and Nu's 5B need to be nerfed. Episode three: Bad but not that bad. Carl's fight scene was pretty poor, but we got some great Hazama time! Episode four: Decent!? Great new OP!? the scenes actually progressed sensibly!? things were explained!? dialogue happened!? My reaction to this whole thing, coupled with your avvy. lol

kosmos badgirl Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 The best episode so far. Finally a decent OP and is good. They changed a little the part about Ragna in the kaka village, isn't it?. The library flashback was awesome and overall I think the show will be better if they stick to exposition and not fighting scenes. Very happy with them ignoring the stupid Nox Nyctores name.

Well it's not an amazing opening (I think the openings in the actual games are better, safe for the first CS), but at least it's something I can call an opening. They're taking a few liberties and don't follow the game's story 1/1, which I like. I was tolerant of the first 3 episodes but this one was legitimately a good episode. I have high hopes for this show now!

CS is more interesting anyway since Terumi is now running at max troll power at this time i wonder, if Alter Memory does well can we expect a season 2 to that covers chronophantasma? kagura's antics are just begging to be animated.
