Master Of Chaos Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 I love how Relius was choking Noel and nobody did a fucking thing about it. And those Hazama faces. Love it. Need moar. So since they've already had Jin and Tsubaki meet (Even if they did reset it) Ya think they'll still have them meet up again and have Jin get his powers back the same way he did in the game? ...Speaking of that, I have a question. Wasn't Izayoi active when Tsubaki killed Jin? Isn't that suppose to block out all interference? How did they reset it then?
swordsman09 Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 Me and Teut caught this, and I'm sure most of you did. I think this was around Ep.4, but the highlights in Makoto's hair were missing. I was dying when I saw that.
Yazumatto Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 The Izayoi "black hole" bubble dropped didn't it? I suppose that's when the powers that be saw that Jin was dead and pressed the reset button
Teutonicknight Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 I love how Relius was choking Noel and nobody did a fucking thing about it. LOL, true. I like how Hazama actually got pissed off for once as well, that doesn't happen often.
LeDom Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 We still haven't seen Arakune =w=; You know, now that you mention, seven episodes in (and I actually doubt he'll be in 8) and he still hasn't made a single appearance, safe for the opening...and very briefly at that. Literally everyone else in the cast got screentime too... I have the feeling he'll seem very out of place once he does show up.
swordsman09 Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 ...Speaking of that, I have a question. Wasn't Izayoi active when Tsubaki killed Jin? Isn't that suppose to block out all interference? How did they reset it then? I think that was Phantom that did that field thing, not Izayoi.
Master Of Chaos Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 I think that was Phantom that did that field thing, not Izayoi. I thought Tsubaki said during her fights with both Jin and Noel that she was using Izayoi to make a space where no one could see them. ...Not like that made much difference in her encounter with Noel, considering that people were going into the field like they were given an invitation
Shinhwa Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 Indeed. It's muuuch better. They miss a few details sometimes, but it looks better over all. Maybe it's because she's moving around in the NOL coat rather than her normal outfit that brings up the same complaints from 2010-2011? Apparently, I read somewhere that her tail is missing a few stripes. It's not enough to make me care but it does add to the animator's list of inconsistencies. She's hella toned in that intro though. Sweet Jesus. Really, all I want to see is for her to hit something. I wanna see what that 5D untech time looks like in the anime. No I meant her face really. Her face in the official illustrations really makes her look like she has a squirrel nose than a human nose. Also her eye design isn't that good either from how I look at it. However in the anime, she looks more cuter and actually shows a proper human face. I love how Relius was choking Noel and nobody did a fucking thing about it. Well, Ragna tried, but Ignis blocked him. I think they will have the same lines pretty much after they meet at the NOL Headquarters in Kagutsuchi. I guess the shock that Tsubaki killed Jin made her turn it off or something... LOL, true. I like how Hazama actually got pissed off for once as well, that doesn't happen often. It's like a troll raging after his troll attempts fail =w= You know, now that you mention, seven episodes in (and I actually doubt he'll be in 8) and he still hasn't made a single appearance, safe for the opening...and very briefly at that. Literally everyone else in the cast got screentime too... I have the feeling he'll seem very out of place once he does show up. I would say he will show up one day but... yeah lol He is the only one out of the entire cast who hasn't appeared yet XD
swordsman09 Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 Well the fact that Jin died is important seeing that he's Hakumen and all. Plus, the field was gone right after he got stabbed so they must've been able to see it.
Shinhwa Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 (edited) I just noticed that the animators truly drew Noel badly =_= They made her have bigger breasts in some scenes and had her have fat legs and body .__. Well the fact that Jin died is important seeing that he's Hakumen and all. Plus, the field was gone right after he got stabbed so they must've been able to see it. Huh? How is it important that Jin is Hakumen? Hakumen comes from an alternate timeline. Importance of Jin is the Power of Order isn't it? Edited November 20, 2013 by Shinhwa

Huh? How is it important that Jin is Hakumen? Hakumen comes from an alternate timeline. Importance of Jin is the Power of Order isn't it? Yeah, I found that a little bit jarring with Noel. I mean, she's not really flat, but still. -- I'm really curious as to how they're going to handle Lambda in the next episode. A part of me imagines that they're going to have her suppressed still at first, with her own kind of "Lambda" personality as it were. Even if Kokonoe pretty much wiped that personality out. Consistency? WHAT'S THAT! And as the scene or moment goes on, more of the Nu side comes out and Kokonoe's like, "lolnope" and brings her back. It's interesting to see Lambda without her attack form Murakumo look though. We're definitely lacking on the Arakune part though.
kylehyde Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 I'm not a big fan of Tsubaki or Noel so I thought this episode was going to be pretty lame. But I'm surprised how much I liked it, I guess the fact that other stuff was going on helped a little. But still, really liked how they handled the fight and confrontation of both of them. Ragna showing up to protect Noel shocked me, didn't think they were going to have him save her twice, and from Tsubaki at that.

DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! XD I wish QAQ........................ Lambda barely had any peace in the game... Her route was like: Tortured => Dead => Body is revived => Nu's soul goes in her body => Memory erased => Used as a combat unit => Fights => Fights => Fights => Sacrifices herself to protect Ragna... Unless you include her gag route (which was tragic in its own way), yeah... her life was total shit... I wish the next episode will let her have some peace, like enjoying food and such. Q~Q But god Lambda is so adorable QwQ HOW COULD YOU ARC SYSTEM (AND MORI)?!! I CAN NEVER FORGIVE YOU FOR WUT U DID TO LAMBDA DX (And I shall be more pissed if they kill Nu at the next game...) Anyways I seriously can't wait for next episode. As a huge Nu/Lambda fan, I have great expectations for the next episode. I just hope the interaction Lambda will have with Ragna won't be short... MAKE THE INTERACTION BETWEEN LAMBDA AND RAGNA GO THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE EPISODE DAMN IT Kokonoe's face in the preview... I wonder what she is planning... o_o;; I'm not a big fan of Tsubaki or Noel so I thought this episode was going to be pretty lame. kylehyde Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 ^Basically Ragna, Rachel, Nu, and Jin. Everyone else is alright, but Tsubaki annoys the shit out of me lol. And honestly the show is clearing up a lot of stuff I didn't really get from the games.
Volt Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 Let's see if I got it right... Great plot (Ragna actually jumping in to stop the fight!?), actually good animation, the most annoying things in the episode were Noel crying and Relius not choking her enough... Someone play the fricking Guile's theme, we got a real comeback here. I just don't know why Kokonoe sent Lambda without her armor back to Kagutsuchi... The plot is not only getting better, it's getting unpredictable even to someone who played the games... Unrelated but necessary (In my opinion...): Shinhwa, you need to tone down that hype.
Shadow Draygon Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 Me and Teut caught this, and I'm sure most of you did. I think this was around Ep.4, but the highlights in Makoto's hair were missing. I was dying when I saw that. Yeah I noticed that when I was finding clips for my opening video. There's a lot of weird animation hiccups when you start looking frame by frame. My favorite is still Hazama's papers magically moving on their own IN THE SAME FRAME. As for the episode, glad Relius keeps his pimp hand strong and Ragna pulling a Nanako with the NO FIGHTING interrupt on Noel and Tsubaki.
Shinhwa Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 I just don't know why Kokonoe sent Lambda without her armor back to Kagutsuchi... The plot is not only getting better, it's getting unpredictable even to someone who played the games... Unrelated but necessary (In my opinion...): I think that was the point. If they 100% copy off the game, it might get boring because we will all know what will happen. By tweaking the storyline a bit, like maybe adding in things that were not in the game, they can make the story a bit more broad and add in things that could have happened in the game.
BlackYakuzu94 Posted November 20, 2013 Author Posted November 20, 2013 I liked how Ragna's stated reason for stopping the fight was "I don't like this fight", dude can't even come up with a good lie.
Shinhwa Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 I liked how Ragna's stated reason for stopping the fight was "I don't like this fight", dude can't even come up with a good lie. How so? It's the truth that although Tsubaki was aiming to kill kind of, Noel didn't want to fight Tsubaki, where it wasn't really a "fight" at all, and Ragna didn't like seeing them going on and off while not truly "fighting".
mAc Chaos Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 Good episode. I was expecting Makoto to break it up like the EX intro but Ragna works too.

BlackYakuzu94 Posted November 20, 2013 Author Posted November 20, 2013 Those exact words when through my head watching that scene.
Goldchampion200 Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 Good episode. I was expecting Makoto to break it up like the EX intro but Ragna works too. hmm I was 2 during the entire thing I was all wait for it any second now.
Teutonicknight Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 At least the Tsubaki vs Ragna matchup was summed up perfectly in that scene. She clearly couldn't do much. xD Saved that gif btw Shadow, epicness.
