On a more serious note, did Rachel bail out Hakumen already? Doesn't look like it since the timeline got changed. BBCT was supposed to end in the new year's eve, but Noel was watching the fireworks after searching for Jin in Litchi's Clinic. And Bang and Jin saw the townspeople preparing the stuff for the New Year.

Isn't that obvious? Without knowledge from the games, you really have reason to care about the cast.

For instance, when Tsubaki confronts Jin about his defection, he gives a rather lengthy speech on how he hates how the NOL works; here? Not so much.

Funny that he was so easily killed. I remember him putting up more of a fight in CS, even without Yukianesa, and he had even less recovery time in that. Granted Valkenhayn did... Something to him in the games, but we don't even know what he did, so how much better or worse Jin would preform is up to debate.

As expected, most of the episode is dedicated to the Tsubaki vs Noel fight, even though the fight itself takes about 1/4 of it. At least it got lots of cool moves, like Noel actually performing her Drive instead of shooting those Optic Barrels. Overall, the visuals were pretty good (no, Tsubaki's empty eyes don't count, she was being brainwashed by Hazama at the moment), even though there is still quite a lot of talking in a fighting anime.

The episode ends with Tsubaki going blind and walking away, while Noel cries in Makoto's arms. Oh, and the preview is narrated by Tsubaki's hat!

Gotta say, I share the same view.

As for the episode, I think it was definitely well done, on par with Ep.4. I even thought the fight was decent. And we saw a bit of Makoto, Tager (those two should meet up next week) as well as Relius being creepy, which is cool too.

Though I do wonder... how the hell did Noel get her hat back?

I think seeing the Izayoi hat looking around at stuff independently of Tsubaki is strangely hilarious. Truly, the hat is the best character in all of BB.

Alright, I'll admit that was a much better episode than I was willing to expect, less wonky animation. It seems this series likes to be inconsistent with its quality.

Besides moar Lambda coming soon, I would guess Noel's hat would return the same way Hazama's would, but its just another case of Anime Logic, lol.

Anyway, loved the Hazama and Relius mindfuckery in this episode. And looking at Lambda in the Next Episode thing makes me hyped to see her like that. Because she looks adorable ;a;
