This episode was better. Animation was solid (for the most part) don't care for Tsubaki or Noel but the little fighting they did was cool. Ragna with the typical cool guy entrace during the fight lol. Haz and Relius being great. Makoto and Rachel still being the best animated. LOL at the no green eye slip up though. Like wow.

The less Arakune this anime has the better :I:

I feel we'll be getting a bit of Arakune soon, Litchi is appearing more frequently and it's only a matter of time before Arakune starts getting mentioned by her.

back in CT, arakune's relevance was based in that he was pretty much used a plot device to hint at all the mysterious weirdness hidden in the background (the time loops, observers, takamagahara etc.)

now that most of those mysteries have been dispelled, he's just sorta . . . there. :v:

well there was that thing mori said way backmabout how if you figured out arakunes secret youd figure out the secret to the blazblue world or something

Didn't Valk spar with Jin or something in CS? I vaguly remember this but maybe it was just a wrong ending or something. Still he'd probably just wolf 5B Jin and that would be the end of the fight.

Actually speaking of Jin does he win a single fight in CS? lol.

I am sure we will see Rachel's interaction with Jin pretty soon, but... the unsheathing of Yukianesa came quite quickly... so I am not too sure...

Technically, yes he does win fights in CS (Since if you don't win, it's game over lol), but officially he doesn't really win any fights until he fights against Tsubaki (mostly because of Yukianesa refusing to be unsheathed)

He manages to fight off people while injured if that counts for anything.

He does beat Tsubaki in his true ending tho.

I am just hoping for 100% Lambda episode next week.

Lambda needs moar love D: LOTS AND LOTS!!!

and well, her interaction with Ragna in the official CS game was pretty low, so I hope next episode will cover that.

As we have seen, Ragna has a hatred for all the Murakumo Units pretty much, but he has seen how Noel acts, so he may have a bit of a change of heart. But if you add in Lambda's innocence pretty much, then yes he may have a change of opinion.

I mean come on, it isn't their fault where they were cloned off Saya. Also the fact the antagonists of this entire series is what made them suffer. They got no sin :/

Ragna killing them off despite that is what pisses me off though. (I am glad he comes to view them differently in CP though)

Considering how much trouble Nu has given(And still is) Ragna, you can't exactly blame him for not being very fond of Murakumo units.

Nu wasn't the main reason or most of the reason why he hates Murakumo units though.

Well beyond the fact that they look like his sister, she's tried to kill him every time they've met; you wouldn't exactly be very fond of someone's who is constantly trying to kill you.

Fact is though, they seems to have met 3 times, yet the 3rd time is the only time where Nu says she actually obtained a body that can feel, talk and hear and such.

Only place Arakune has appeared are the OP and ED XD;;

Arakune sucks anyway =w=

Him and Tsubaki are the only 2 characters in the BB story to really have their arcs done justice. The thing is, the main plot of BB is actually just a contrived mess, but the appeal is about all the little character moments that come up, and I think Arakune especially with him and Litchi have some excellent ones (Arakune's CS bad ending is probably my favourite part of BB.)

The real problem here is that the boundary and everything associated with it isn't actually explained very well or to a satisfactory degree, outside of horrible exposition, and Arakune and Litchi should be perfect on exploring that at a personal level. I'd say less screentime given to shoddy fight scenes with Lambda and more to Arakune would be much better.

Of course, screentime shouldn't be an issue, but if you're a fucking idiot and decide to have the plot of 3 games with dense plot (dense in more ways than one -fucking idea engines deus ex machinas-) all done in 12 episodes then it does become a problem.

Whoever it was that said that people only really watch this for the QUALITY animation, you're sadly right.

Finally saw the episode, as expected the exposition episodes are the best, battle scenes are the worst.

Actually, the battle scenes were not so bad. The worst part was everything that happened to Ragna's eyes after he was teleported by Rachel.

Posted

Of course the fight scenes aren't the most epic stuff since BBCP but since I can't see the QUALITY level everyone's talking about...

Can someone actually tell me what was a great fighting scene in other animes so I can compare better?

Posted
I just can't help but laugh at the irony of a fighting game anime having terrible fight scenes.

thats like every fg anime ever

i dont even care about the fighting that much imo, i like the plot based stuff.

Posted
Well how many FG anime are there? There's The SFIV one, KOF...and that's all I got.

The old Street Fighter II and III movies.

All I need from the fighting scenes is getting to see the moves out of the game, and they've been pretty cool about that lately. It'd also help if they were longer, but eh, we have plot to explain.

Posted

I actually like it better when they make their fighting more realistic. Like, most fighting game anime always have them performing their moves as if it was cut and pasted right from the game. But in a real fight you wouldn't do it like that, you'd just do whatever makes sense, so blending them together is what I like. Like you wouldn't need to do the first part of ID to do Axe Kick.

There's also the fact that most real fights don't last long; you get stabbed with a sword, or slammed into the ground from a great enough height, you're not getting back up.
