Yeah i was wondering about RC whiff stuff and how it might be less effective. Like, Pot ICPM RC into throw seems nice in theory, but the slow down might make that completely useless. I think that random safe moves where you can only get big damage off RC will be able to be reaction-RC'd now because of slow down, so you probably won't have to waste 50% meter for no reason.

I actually think YRC's sadly are going to make some of the fun trick stuff a bit less interesting because of the slowdown. Things like FRC whiff -> throw will be more reactable. That being said, fuck it I'm behind this game 100%.

Actually since RCs only slows down the opponent and other stuff that's onscreen, whiff RC throw will be just as unreactable.

Well we don't actually know who the artist is. We just know that Daisuke Ishiwatari is the character designer since it's his story and characters.

Look at the damn art and you will know, is Ishiwatari's work

um I'm pretty sure AC has a lot of hitstop. Anyway.

GGAC has the same amount of hitstop that previous GG games

I wonder if you can do shit like jump in to bait an anti air, RC to slow them down and then hit them before their AA's active frames hit you. Or generally situations where you bait some reaction and can RC and tag them.

Silly question, yet I must know, were there any alt. Colors in this build other than just clothe color changes? You know likr tanned sol or different colored hair or whatever, I dont recall seeing any.

Yes there were several alternate colors, and from reports 1 that apparently only appears during mirror match if both pick the same color(?)

But I'm surprised you didn't see any o.o

I dont mean just alternate colors, I just remember seeing different colored clothes but not a white venom or something like that.

I don't believe any with altering skin tone appeared

EDIT: Yes Millia has orange hair, Ky has a black hair ver, Sol with brighter brown hair, May with blonde hair, and Potemkin has a brown haired ver [i seriously don't think that's a helmet tassel, it's in the wrong place]

Actually there was a screenshot of Sol's 3rd color lying around somewhere. The color was something like "Orange/Black outfit,Blonde hair,Tan Skin". Too bad I don't know where that screenshot is.

Has anyone else noticed that there's a visual effect on the health bar as damage is taken? Looks kind of like a spark.

It also looks like Stunedge was right about differing timeslow durations; movement RCs don't seem to last even half as long as normal RCs.

From the videos at least, the "choppiness" of the intros is fine for the most part. It actually helps make it look more like its traditional animation and not 3d cell shaded. One of the things that's always bothered me with cel-shaded cut scenes is that they always looked too smooth, reminding you that they aren't traditional cells. From what I've seen of Xrd, it doesn't seem to have that problem.

Raising a topic that's been discussed here, I don't think that ASW are every going to fix the facial animation of the intros. Why? Because no one else in the industry ever bothers with that. At the very least, ASW certainly don't, as everyone can see in BlazBlue's story mode or Xblaze. Not to mention that lip-sync is actually a great hurdle to cross during the localization process: you either have to do it all over again or deal with the unnatural animation.

Good thing that neither of my mains are going to have facial animation :v:

They might add a few extra mouth poses or sync it slightly, as opposed to the current constant-rate mouth flap, but I wouldn't expect much more than that.

Can't really comment on it until later on when they actually record the new audio and whatnot, though. If they don't adjust the mouths by then, then they probably aren't planning to.

They'll probably have multiple intro dialogue, it's a waste to do it for one or for all of them.

I also think a 2nd language audio track is a waste too.

you can play gg2 overture to hear sol and ky in english.

sol is voiced by troy baker and ky is voiced by liam obrien iirc.

of course that doesn't mean they'd use the same voice actors in any future xrd english dub

Hopefully he does, I hope Troy Baker doesn't think he's too hollywood for a little Guilty Gear!
