However I do like those characters on the second page of the photobucket album, not even sure who most of them all. I-No and Axl aren't in any of them either and they're already in, so I don't think there's much to worry about.
Sophisticat Posted September 10, 2013 Posted September 10, 2013 They'll likely eventually get every GGXXAC character into Xrd. It's just a question of when. Leaving out a particular character just alienates that customer base.

His 3rd servant was always shown to have a weirdly tall head, which I always assumed was a hat, but looking at the concept it might be his actual head: http://guiltygear.ru/images/gallery/ggxplus_sm_so3.jpg Didn't we identify these pictures as fan art way, waaay back in the thread? ..No? They were never fan art. And now they're confirmed for leaked concepts, so... Actually he is wearing a long-sleeved jacket (with the sleeves folded a bit). The "robe" you're seeing is because he actually tied/attached the British flag to the back of his shorts using his belt. It gives the appearance of a longcoat or duster, but it actually isn't. I'd question the fashion statement that is supposed to make but then I remembered that I don't give a flying puck about fashion. Especially in a Japanese fighting game. It's very 90's grunge and it suits him. I like it! The only problem I'm having with those concept arts is that Testament isn't in any of them. And that's not cool. My guess to the missing characters is that the project these might have been for was canceled before they were finished, OR that this just got leaked with only part of the concepts (either because it's whatever this specific leaker was working on, or they weren't done yet, w/e) And as Vashimus says, confirmed characters aren't in there, so don't worry about it. Soothesayer Posted September 10, 2013 Posted September 10, 2013 On Axl I actually thought his GGX design fit his laid-back personality more, although I kind of like that he's buff again. But the short-shorts + blouse from GG, metal or not, made him look sort of fruity(i dislike shorty shorts on guys unless they're supposed to be doing martial arts of some sort). His stance was pretty fierce though, kind of hope he gets it back. His current design sort of looks like it mixes the laid-back Axl of the X series with the original Axl. I think the shoes look goofy somewhat, they should be boots. And maybe have the shorts a bit longer but not GG2 Sol long. I would've given him ripped jeans or something myself. The flag off the back waist is a nice tough.

He is, after all, carrying "Row" as opposed to "Low" as his last name. Perhaps it is a completely different, time-traveling Axl and that's just the style where he's from :8/:?

I pretty much don't have anything against Axl's design for this game.I already imagined before this game was even announced: that since Axl is a time lapping character,he may appear different(than usual) if he was in a new installment that was placed AFTER Overture.This may be a time-skipped/previous Axl. I didn't expect a new design if anything.But already considered him to look the same, or as he did in the past. In my head.Characters on my list who I assumed may have had a major redesign(if brought) were Jam Bridget Baiken(maybe) Chipp Potemkin(even though I never thought they would do so as drastically as what we have) May Sin(if he even gets in) and Zappa

Maybe they're saving the best for last! Lol. I'm actually kinda scared for Eddie in Xrd and the possibilities of FRC Invite Hell becoming YRC Invite Hell off knockdowns. Ooh, can't wait to see the beast's beautiful return for this game.

I was just wondering if Xrd will also have the four-button setup (no D button, but pressing S and HS together performs Dust commands like in GG, GGX and GG Isuka). Psych-Bursts would be all four attack buttons pressed together to take effect of the four-button setup and instant kills require the enemy to be stunned (like Special Downs in Fighter's Destiny), but these are just my suggestions.

His moves seem like a bit more work than some other cast members. He's probably taking longer for reasons like that.

It's kind of hard to get a good look at him in the new trailer because it's such a quick shot and the camera is sort of at a weird angle that partially obscures him even if you freeze-frame it.

The button config is already explained in detail on the Xrd website. It's the same as GGXX and onwards.
