Probably one of the funniest things I've read in this thread.

Never heard of a brodude before?

Well, that explains a lot. No wonder why EXTEND had Bang going off about Ice-Cars and junk.

At this rate, I bet someone in Xrd is going to run into Bridget and start shouting "It's a trap!" Sol is going to be giving a bad guy speech while his text makes bad jokes about puffballs. Zappa's ghost S-Ko is going to be talking about getting laid.

It's going to be truly dark day for Guilty Gear, I say. No! It can't be that bad. Everything will be fine!

Capcom is close to bankruptcy

What? I know this is irrelevant to the discussion so could you explain better via PM or something. i would like to know about this.

it was the whole statement that made me laugh, brodude especially lol.

Let's hope they don't go down that path, but it's just speculation. My statements are just with regards to how they're handling things outside of Japan. For a company that wants to have a stronger presence internationally and what's to push GG to newer players AC would be the first step, which they have been struggling with. I just hope they learn from these lessons and prevent them in the future.

Not to drag this off-topic, but for anyone who is curious, yes, Capcom is currently bleeding quite badly. You reap what you sow. :v:

Back on Xrd, I'm a little confused about the game's presence (or lack thereof) at TGS. The official site says the game isn't going to be covered at Arc's booth, but apparently there's news Ishiwatari is going to be there and folks here seem to think there's a possibility for fresh news. So are they simply not making the game playable at TGS but might still have videos and news and whatnot, or...? What exactly is the situation here?

EDIT: Just saw in a different thread that there's going to be a GG stage show at TGS. That explains a lot. Still not sure why Xrd isn't listed as a featured game for ASW, but whatever.

Yeah, I don't get it either, if they think they're being clever and sneaky by pretending there's no Xrd there or something... But does anyone know when stage show is set to be?

AC isn't really that great of a place for newcomers to start since the pre-sf4 community is pretty much long gone and not coming back, most people don't want to pick up a game when the local player base isn't very high in numbers. Then there are the people that don't want to pick it up because it's an old game......

Upon closer inspection, I really like Axl's top, not so much his bottom, union jack kilt/skirt thing is kinda weird. But still a good redesign overall.

I-No's "redesign" is even more underwhelming than I originally thought however lol

I-No looks almost exactly the same to me. No small words or insignias on her outfit, just extra buckles. Oh well if it isn't broke, don't fix it.

I kinda like Axl's design in this game, but oh dear lord his legs. It's like everybody went crazy on the workouts in this one.

Maybe its the way they animate the hair in Xrd but her bangs and hair in general look a lot straighter, kind of more akin to Elizabeth. All Axl needs now is some long white socks to complete the school boy look, though he worked on his legs since the last game at least he hasn't roided SF4 style.

They are all roided compared to their fully anime counterparts. It's that 3d effect lol, even Ky is beefier if you look carefully enough and compared him to his AC spites.

I wonder what is the reasoing behind keeping I-No like it was in previous games.

From the interview:

-Xrd base is Reload.

-Fewer characters than the previous games. Among the more unusual characters, they decided to choose the most popular. I-No and Axl had no major changes since it emerged in the series.

-Story will be explained in a better way (previous games were obscure and without much explanation).

How does losing cast members feel good? The dearly departed have fans you know.

HCL looks ****ing awesome. I-No's breasts are rounder, especially near the top, and her butt is bigger too. Damn, it looks like she even has tiny slits in the sides of her dress now to show off more leg, which I didn't even think was possible. :v:

I hope they'll tone down the feedback noise that's on 1/2 of her moves. Also, instead of her hand blurring, it looks like they're actually going to show her hitting the string when she plays notes during her attacks, which would be pretty cool.

Now I want Axl's tie as much as I want Slayer's tie. Damn that giant zipper is cool.

Yeah I wouldn't be surprised if there's like, 18ish characters on release or something and the rest get released over time.

This sounds kinda mean but I really, really hope they release like, 4 brand new characters, even if they have to sacrifice the old cast. Considering how unpopular Potemkin was in Japan, I was actually expected him to get replaced, but the redesign I guess was a better idea.

Potemkin was THAT unpopular? And he's pretty popular here no, along with being the titular grapple character of the series.

And basically Xrd, from what you're saying, will be like SF4 in many ways lol.
