XXXDC Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 So far i think Faust is looking pretty dang strong. Also Pot is making me sad, he is not doing fine in most of the fights i've seen so far. Hammerfall YRC sounded good on paper but looks like most of the time it will be wasted meter or even a free combo for the opponent. I can live with old 2S, but 6P not being special/jump cancellable is just... unless you have 50% meter for a Tager-level reset with H.Pot Buster. Hope FAB people figure out something new with him.

I've seen a few Potemkin too. I wanted to see Venom or Zato, because those characters I used to play. I find Bedman interesting as well. I know it's like 1st or 2nd day since it's release, but anyone got any footage of NO Potemkin or Faust?

The surgery also seems a bit randomized considering the two links show a different surgery for the same character. This ought to be fun. It's the cool thing to do, so why not? (I'll probably feel differently in a week) Hopefully this is just Day 1 impressions. I have a hard time believing Dandy Man Slayer is that low. Then again, I've been wrong before.
Xtra_Zero Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 (edited) I think the higher guts rating is meant to encourage people to burn as much meter as they can when they get a hit, because your meter will be worth less in your next combo. It's also a quasi-comeback mechanic in disguise, because if we assume a tit for tat situation where P1 does a combo and then P2 gets a chance for the same combo, P2 will have more meter with which to do damage to P1 while P1 is still at 0 guts. MrTolkien Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 Met another dustloop (Elven Shadow) at Mikado today, he's still undefeated with his Faust :o He was at beat by 20 when I arrived and people stopped challenging him! The game is really fun but I feel like Potem is a whole new character. He approaches completely differently from before and has to use the new defensive system to survive. I think he'll be good once players are used to the new mix ups and to using the blitz shield properly. I'll try to play in the 3v3 tomorrow, that ought to be fun! :D

Slayer does less damage compared to the rest of the cast than he used to Slayer can't 5H -> Pilebunker from what I've tried. Crosswise heel is pretty easy to combo off of. Was thinking of picking her up again in this game, but Axl seems less arduous
