king of heart Posted March 14, 2014 Posted March 14, 2014 I just remembered that Baiken was able to do one sided "Danger Time" before LOL. Also Danger Time happened at the beginning of each round of this match which makes me really worried about it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0CvJygDA91U#t=2432
Mumm-Ra Posted March 14, 2014 Posted March 14, 2014 Hopefully the DT combos are real silly, otherwise why have the mechanic at all?
D.R.F. Posted March 15, 2014 Posted March 15, 2014 Oh yea i wanted to ask; are there two FABs, one that plays tekken and the legendary pot player, or are they the same person? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Tapatalk
BladeOfJustice7 Posted March 15, 2014 Posted March 15, 2014 I didn't think Inoue would play this game until at least Order Sol came back. Makes me wonder if we'll see Satou play this game before Johnny's in. Also Chipp, FIND MEH x N lol. I feel that shit'll get nerfed, but I'm glad it's useful at least and there's visual queues for his 5d even if he's invisible, along with his rekkas. And it's nice to see Faust isn't as dominant as everyone initially thought he'd be based on day 1 tournaments.

Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Tapatalk The Tekken player is a black dude from NYC lol. Different person. JP FAB stands for Final Atomic Buster, don't know why NYC Fab has the name.
D.R.F. Posted March 15, 2014 Posted March 15, 2014 Ahhh okay thanks. Love jp. FAB, along with Konsome aha Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Tapatalk
BladeOfJustice7 Posted March 15, 2014 Posted March 15, 2014 JP FAB stands for Final Atomic Buster. That's actually pretty badass, he's a grappler down to his very core it seems.
Jocelot Posted March 15, 2014 Posted March 15, 2014 I hear Sato-1 is playing a new dude every week to fill the Johnny sized hole in his heart.
ElvenShadow Posted March 15, 2014 Posted March 15, 2014 Found out something new while playing casuals yesterday. While you are in vulnerable state after getting countered by a BS, you can try to BS while still in that state. I always thought when that happened that people were just attacking late, but I am almost 100% positive that you can try to counter BS at any time. So, if you successfully land a BS on someone who also has 25% meter, it creates a whole other mind game of if you go for the combo after you land your counter, wait and see if they try to counter BS and then punish the whiff, or go for a throw which would be non BSable. Interesting. I think this is good in a way because some people were thinking BS is too good and this makes it much less abuse able.
youcanwonder Posted March 15, 2014 Posted March 15, 2014 Bozac...do you get any meter back for having a successful bs?

Pretty sure this was known even before the game's release, though I don't remember who said it. There was also an early vid where that happened in a Ky mirror. Bozac...do you get any meter back for having a successful bs? He said earlier in the thread that you regain about half of the meter used.
SoWL Posted March 15, 2014 Posted March 15, 2014 And it's nice to see Faust isn't as dominant as everyone initially thought he'd be based on day 1 tournaments. That was bound to happen sooner or later, really. Good thing there are still more than enough people using him: I still want to see cool stuff with his new pogo options.
Dreiko Posted March 15, 2014 Posted March 15, 2014 You can also just super after you BS since even if they try to BS back your super would go through it.
Dreiko Posted March 15, 2014 Posted March 15, 2014 Wait, you can't BS supers? Nope, supers/grabs beat BS.
TheRealBobMan Posted March 15, 2014 Posted March 15, 2014 Instant Kills also beat BS right? Or is that only when the target is in Hellfire?
Dreiko Posted March 15, 2014 Posted March 15, 2014 Instant Kills also beat BS right? Or is that only when the target is in Hellfire? I think all HF does with regards to IKs is allow your IK mode activation to pause the action for 50 meter. I don't think it affects BS in any way.
SuperJ Posted March 15, 2014 Posted March 15, 2014 BS->IK would be interesting (braindead?) as a 62.5 tension option when the opponent is at low health if IKs ignore shield. so probably not lol i also wonder how BS interacts with unblockables? i.e. undertow, slidehead, faust spring, bedman super...

BS seems to react to high/lows like blocking does (so standing BS does not parry 2D) therefore I believe unblockables would also beat it. Bedman's super, being a super, beats BS even if BS somehow does end up parrying unblockables, however.
Final Ultima Posted March 15, 2014 Posted March 15, 2014 I think all HF does with regards to IKs is allow your IK mode activation to pause the action for 50 meter. I don't think it affects BS in any way.It also allows them to be comboable in the first place. Oh, and I should clarify to people reading this that might get the wrong idea: As SuperJ effectively stated, all the changes that apply to Instant Kills rely on the opponent being at flashing life, not you. Just saying HELL FIRE can cause a bit of confusion, because the character that enters HELL FIRE status isn't the one that gets comboable IKs. You can think of it like landing an Astral, except for the differences in meter requirements and the fact it doesn't need to be the last round.
Luminos564 Posted March 15, 2014 Posted March 15, 2014 Oh boy am I late to the party. So, Ramlethal is being added. Does anyone know when the date for that is or was a date even revealed for it? I dunno why, but somehow, I think she'll be one of the more popular characters once she is released. Call it a hunch of sorts.
youcanwonder Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 I'm guessing she will not be the only char that will be playable....There has to be more them just one new char lol...that and every test their was at least 2 new chars playable.
SolxBaiken Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 No date for Ramlethal yet, however as they want to try and push the game to consoles this year it is probably unlikely that we'll see any more characters added by then [maybe, MAYBE Sin IF any]. They probably went straight ahead into consumer development shortly after finalizing the arcade content. Also it is interesting that Ramlethal is still listed as "Boss" on the site and it still only says "13" playable characters despite her official reveal.
