I'd feel a lot better about it if it wasn't random activation.

Like say, clash three moves in a row, then "AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW SHIT" mode starts.

That would mean it would occur MORE often, and people would be deadly afraid of that occurring. I already dread seeing "Danger Time only combos", already the Ky xrd combo tutorial has one or two HellFire Mode only combos.

I hope by the next revision, they just remove Danger Time altogether, HellFire on the other hand is a good addition to the game I find personally.

What are everyone else's thoughts on Hellfire Mode?

Wait, what's wrong with danger time only combos? That prospect is the best part of the mechanic in my eyes lol. Prior-impossible combos becoming possible is the stuff of dreams.

As for hellfire mode, I don't feel I fully understand it. I know it makes super do more damage and allows you to cancel into IK-activation. I don't know if it does anything else. I don't know if it makes supers have various properties, for example, in addition to more damage. Like, you mention HF-only combos. What about HF makes the combos possible exaclty?

So why did they think that was a good idea?

Hell, I'd say the idea of Danger Zone (You pretty much get put in a negative warning sorta state) is neat, but it being random along with it pausing the match is just absurd. Even just making it so that several clashes or whatever (maybe attach it to the stun meter if they still have that) causes both people to stagger or flinch and then Danger Zone happens would be much better.

In all seriousness lots of stuff is random in fighters, doesn't necessarily break so long as it doesn't gay you up every time it happens. Look at ST dizzies.

I dunno about you but I don't see people clash 3 moves in a row very often in GG... while it might become more frequent with danger time as a factor, both sides would have to be doing moves for the clashing to happen, so both sides are probably vested in getting Danger Time to happen (otherwise YRC and fuck em up).

Hellfire is sounding too ultra-esque for my tastes.

Not that similar I feel. Hellfire doesn't grant you more tools, it actually grants one to your opponent(IK combos, suddenly a way around your Guts), it justs makes one of your tools vastly more rewarding.

Hellfire is tame enough that it's fine. Ultra's are game defining, hellfire makes the moves a bit better. I actually like it, because people use the moves where they generally didn't before. In short, it seems to add to more diversity of moves and playstyles.

I don't know why we have pages on danger time, it happens so rarely...

That kunai rain overdrive is insane, Find Me is totally bonkers, air combos, and his corner pressure and combos are just LOL thanks to wall cling follow ups (ALPH-ALPHA BLADE!)

Also at first I was sad they made him more Engrish but the Gaijinese is still there (KABUKI!)

HELL FIRE does not affect the properties of Overdrives. As far as combos are concerned, HELL FIRE only contributes damage. If the opponent is in HELL FIRE status, it enables the ability to combo into Instant Kill (which is probably what "HELL FIRE-only combos" should refer to in the long run, but it'd be easier just to call them Instant Kill combos).

What's the level on each attack?
Sol's j.P is Level 1, Axl's 5S is Level 4 if close, Level 3 if far.

Danger Time stopped being reliant on heavy attacks from the second location test onwards, when the Repel mechanic was replaced by Blitz Shield.

Only thing I don't like about danger time is the count down...If it was instant I'd be ok w it...it seems like it disrupts the flow of the game I may be wrong though....but like ppl have said it happens rarely...but damn I'm gonna miss clash videos lol. Has anyone seen or heard of bs n then bs happening right after the first person bsed?

Well if it was instant, you wouldn't really be able to react initially. Besides, the countdown goes by faster than people are exaggerating (lol 5 seconds).

I can confirm this, it's happened to my Slayer clashing 2P with something.

Well if it was instant, you wouldn't really be able to react initially. Besides, the countdown goes by faster than people are exaggerating (lol 5 seconds).

The timer is fast, but I'd still rather just have the clash last twice as long and the background turn dark or something. I'd also rather have it be consistent (happen on all clashes or no clashes, or change activation to simultaneous RC).
