Jakestation Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Pretty sure it can't be cancelled into from normals as well. Think 6p can be cancelled into fafnir at pretty much any point :I
TITANIUM BEAST!!! Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Think 6p can be cancelled into fafnir at pretty much any point :I Not in Xrd. Now, people often combo into 6P from Fafnir in juggles, thanks to the tumbling state. But Xrd Fafnir is like pretty much every non-+R version of Fafnir in that you cannot special cancel into it.

TITANIUM BEAST!!! Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 That's the way they designed the move; as is, it would be way too good if you could cancel into it. The only game you can cancel into Fafnir is +R, and that's mostly because +R Fafnir functions in a totally different way.
BladeOfJustice7 Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Ky doesn't have any tumbling effect attacks does he? Split Ciel caused tumbling during loketests but then they removed it for when they released the game (which was smart because then it would be stupid). Fafnir can't be canceled into because it's traditionally plus on block, the one time you could cancel into it, they had to make it an unsafe move to throw out. If Xrd fafnir worked like ACR, it would be stupid as fuck, and make Sol completely brain dead and unstoppable as well.

Master Of Chaos Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Question for the masses, since I haven't been paying attention to this game as much as I should have. Is Zato really that freakin good in this game, or is because Ogawa is just that much of a hardcore motherfucker? He's got a really terrific neutral game from what I've seen in vids, and I haven't felt this much dread from seeing someone get pushed into the corner since Pre-CP 1.1 Kokonoe's near infinite blockstrings. I've never seen a Zato player annihilate people left and right like this. Just...What's going on? How'd he get so good?
Delrian Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Eddie has historically been very strong. And since Xrd went back to #Reload balancing...
king of heart Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 But still we don't see him wining tournaments.

How'd he get so good? i watched a Zato make 4 bad decisions today, be left with 5% health, land one 5D~6 near the corner and start the loops and win. its pretty hilarious seeing the wall loop at work. but really Zato has his flaws along with atrocious guts meaning as people perfect their play he will look stronger and stronger. Ogawa just happened to be one of the first few Zatos in Xrd to bloom and adapt quickly, thats why we see him being so good. Taitsu Zato is also ridiculously strong, along with BoB. you see them stomp players a lot in their respective arcades (taitsu especially) he's definitely a strong character, as usual, just there is very little room for mistake, and very good players like Ogawa who are Zato faithfuls and masters will definitely shine very quickly.
king of heart Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 I don't see Zato being better than Sol or Faust in this game
greatfernman Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 http://youtu.be/GwxMyZN-f40?t=2m9s ramlethal's sword still swings during the danger time countdown. do projectiles in general continue travelling during the countdown?
TITANIUM BEAST!!! Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 Zato/Eddie has always been a strong character, with maybe two versions where he's not that great (Slash and +R). However, when you watch Ogawa play him, it's like an entirely different character almost, so you can't put too much stock in trying to rank the character from watching him. He's generally on a whole other level.
ElvenShadow Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 I think Zato is the best character in the game overall but yes, Ogawa has always just been an extremely good player.
averageJo Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 I don't see Zato being better than Sol or Faust in this game I agree with you, It feels like Sol has many good options to deal a good amount of damage on Zato

Skyheartxia Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 Man! that bed must be really heavy! well, without the bed he weighs 45kg, and with the bed....666kg so it weighs 621kg. pretty heavy for a little bishie boy, i'd say. :P
king of heart Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 Regarding wight, did they post the characters wight classes or guts ?
Skyheartxia Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 Regarding wight, did they post the characters wight classes or guts ? ive never seen an official release on guts data. the weight stuff was from the basic profile info when each char was released.
xlolxlolx Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 pretty sure weight classes are the same with ramlethal being light and bedman heavy kedako's gonna have to spend a fuck load of money if he ever wants to try to figure out guts ratings

xlolxlolx Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 well keep in mind guts is much more difficult to determine especially where the cut-off points are
Skyheartxia Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 well keep in mind guts is much more difficult to determine especially where the cut-off points are thats true. i mean i dont expect it, but if he does it that would be nice of him.
king of heart Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 the weight stuff was from the basic profile info when each char was released. That's not what i meant! pretty sure weight classes are the same with ramlethal being light and bedman heavy If Sol is still lighter than Ky, that would be hilarious!
