Other than that, the post mentioned by "DarkRios III" was right, Xrd doesn't list as having its release date on GS.com anymore and its available for sale [says the "Usually ships in 24 hours" line] (Not the LE though, yet). So yeah, week -1 US release? @_@
D.R.F. Posted December 10, 2014 Posted December 10, 2014 Well he has a great flash kick that ends in knockdown and can be RRC'd for good damage. He has a charge projectile. He has stances that change his moves. He has a run type dash. He has a rekka-like special move chain after simple ABC combo. Really important one here is that his moves have very little recovery individually, especially his HS and his buttons are really solid as they definitely beat out and trade with a lot of other characters'. One of the neat things you can do is end a knockdown with a move that stands the opponent back up and leaves you in your back facing counter stance. And charge character don't mean a difficult character. Ever heard of Boxer?
chzchan Posted December 10, 2014 Posted December 10, 2014 Didn't want to imply level of difficulty based on him being a charge character. Just stating observations from playing and watching other people play. Hitting buttons in neutral seems to accomplish a lot with him, though.

People were complaining about Elphelt and her shotgun stance shenanigans before the setup with Leo went up and those people just went silent after witnessing this character. It is over. Everything is over. Everything is Leo. Everyone is Leo. This post is just ugh... reminds me of the 30fps thing on SRK or youtube comment section.

Those sorts of characters can seem really good at first, then you get used to their stuff and realize a bunch it's reactable. His projectile YRC does look really strong, but I think he may have trouble with people jumping out. Only time will tell. And he's not even out yet. For all we know, ArcSys could make a few last minute tweaks that may change things.

I hope the digital sales are higher than that, at least I got it digital. I wouldn't be surprised if there was a pretty substantial amount of digital copies sold, but that is pure conjecture. It's only anecdotal, but it seems like a lot of people here are buying it digital (but then again they might just be avoiding the wait for it to ship from Japan or wherever). Bummed I missed the Leo stream, but he sounds, as expected, to be pretty cool.

I think his gorilla normals will beat people up for a few weeks before he starts getting wrecked. Just a prediction though, not an expectation.

In all seriousness I've seen Leo compared to like 16 different characters and really I didn't think any comparison was a good fit. I do think Leo looks pretty fun, but I don't think I'll main him. One thing to note is that, while it might just be cause I wasn't the one trying to block it, his overhead looks really slow and has an easy to see start-up (not sure if that's a normal or a follow-up to his cross up thing). Also didn't the turtorial say he could be thrown out of that cross-up thing?
