. . . Sol is a queen fan, not gay :v:

Point still stands, he likes queen enough to be a reference. (As we know that sol's sword style is based off of Mercury's mic skills lol)

Has anyone uploaded the stream archive from Mikado with the Ky who was bodying everyone for an hour? I know someone was uploaded the matches but I haven't seen anything with regards to that since.

Well the Senate (can we just use the word instead of the engrish?) is a group of 3 different people...

But actually I was thinking about how the one with the bird mask sounded familiar... I don't think it's Wakamoto, but is it the same guy who voices the opening movie narration maybe?

"Senato" is actually Latin.

Anyway, about the voice actors. From the game's end credits:

Sol Badguy: Jouji Nakata

Ky Kiske: Takeshi Kusao

May: Satomi Koorogi

Millia Rage: Yuko Sumitomo

Chipp Zanuff: Yoshihisa Kawahara

Venom: Junichi Suwabe

Potemkin: Takashi Kondou

Axl Low: Keiichi Nanba

I-No: Kikuko Inoue

Faust: Takashi Kondou

Slayer: Iemasa Kayumi

Zato-1 / Eddie: Takehito Koyasu

Bedman: Hikaru Midorikawa

Ramlethal Valentine: Megumi Han

Sin Kiske: Issei Miyazaki

Gabriel: Takayuki Sugou

Original Man: Tomokazu Seki

Chronus: Tomonori Tsuboi

Axus: Cha-Fu-lin

Libraria: Tomomi Isomura

Sharon: Megumi Han

Answer: Tomokazu Seki

Narration: Takayuki Sugou

System Voice: Dan Rubida

April & Leap: Tomomi Isomura

Augus: Yuuko Sumitomo

June: Megumi Han

Sephy / March: Akane Fujikawa

Febby / Novel / Octy / Janis: Yuuki Matsumoto

Ky's Guard: Tomokazu Seki

People of Illyria: Takashi Kondou, Tomomi Isomura, Tomokazu Seki

Swordman: Daisuke Ishiwatari, Hidehiko Sakamura, Akira Katano

Sheriff: Takeshi Yamanaka

Extra: Takao Suzuki

Chipp's the only one with a new voice actor.

The Senato are Chronus (IV), Axus (I), and Libraria (II). Bardius (III) was presumably killed in Vastedge. Chronus is the leader, according to Vastedge.

The Original Man is the guy Axl talks to in his intro. He wants Axl to deliver a message to That Man.

Answer is Chipp's aide.

No I haven't, but I wish I did that sounds awesome. Do you know who the player was? Maybe Ain or Machaboo, maybe?

Unrelated, but I saw an hour of some good play with a sick-ass Eddie player in red. He was doing some cool stuff.

People have said Ain, but he plays nothing like Ain from what I've seen. Plus Ain pretty much uses "Merri Christumasu" colors for Ky. BUt the Ky was hella good, I suspect Machaboo or someone else entirely.

You were the only uploading the matches?

Sorry my bad, I worded that poorly. I meant to say I wish I had watched that stream.

Where?

I'm going to try an find it, sorry my laptop is the shittiest thing ever.

EDIT- http://youtu.be/UkvENUnN83M

Sorry I watched it a couple hours ago so I can't remember the exact times he appears, but he's the Zato in red (a badass color by the way. Almost as cool as purple DRANK Eddie).

He does some cool stuff in it like using the new Invite Hell puddle Eddie summon thing to harass the opponent from both sides. Still a bit rough but I think he kicks as for a day 3 player and def the best Zats I've seen thus far.

Volcanic Viper's hitbox got nerfed hard. No longer the god-DP it used to be.

Axl's chains can't be reacted to. You can react to him entering the stance but the chains themselves come out too fast. Pretty sure they can't be 6Ped. Despite them having hurtboxes they basically have to be dodged unless you read with BS or have something with a vertically disjointed hitbox like Ky's projectiles.

Is it? I'll check it out tonight but it seems to whiff in combos where I could have sworn it would hit.

Hmm that I have been seeing a lot though. The horizontal range looks so tiny. But hs version just looks more reliable. Please give the feedback though when you can

Also the kick followup is less guaranteed because you can't delay it to give Sol more range.

I remember reading that yea. How anout ky's vapor thrust followup? Because NO ONE uses it is it even there anymore?

as someone who's fought against sol too many times in his life: this was so obnoxious to deal with lol does it happen at the exact same timing 100% of the time? they should make the hitbox bigger at least.

i'm not really a fan of high risk/high reward moves with variable punishment situations (ex messiah, mitsuru r action etc).

It doesn't exist anymore; it was introduced in AC. Kind of lame that Ky can't get knockdown off air combo anymore, but at least the ground VT gives hard knockdown and he has #R VT loops again.

Ahh okay. Well that sucks:( oh well vt loops are still hype

Ky's neutral game should be strong enough in this iteration to make up for the lack of oki due to the removal of VT follow up.

From the gameplay I have seen so far that's what it seems like thwy wanted his intended playstyle to be

I think the timing is exactly the same each time. I wouldn't call old VV high risk/high reward though. I'd call it medium-high risk/medium reward, as it's not quite high high risk as a regular DP because of the kick gamble you can use and the hitbox and speed are REALLY good, but it's still a DP and if the opponent is on point you're taking some damage, whereas if you hit with it you get a prorated air combo for 50% meter at best, usually just DP damage into knockdown. It was one of my favorite things about Sol. I don't even really care about the kick, it's the hitbox and reliability I miss.

It seems pretty good. Aiming the projectiles into the seals is tricky, but if you can do it it's extremely effective. The big durandal call is really scary, it does DAMAGE man. The potential is definitely there, I just have yet to see good setups with it.

saw some millias using chroming rose (i think thats what it's called...) to extend combos in the corner. it was pretty cool. i really like the idea of that super and i wonder how it really works. anyone know? seems like it would be rad in neutral

It's been like that from the start, but somewhat deviated. They're just returning back to it, hence his new Durandal Call specials and his new 3hs.
