Nemesis Posted September 25, 2013 Posted September 25, 2013 People who make the countdown timer choose their character and/or stage =_= What if they suddenly need to take a dump?
Kenrou.Horo Posted September 26, 2013 Posted September 26, 2013 What if they suddenly need to take a dump? Then that's fine. I'm referring to the people who always/often do it, especially in ranked.
ReynTime180 Posted September 26, 2013 Posted September 26, 2013 This makes me mad too, how about people who hit Unlimited mode the very last second? That's a huge smh. Anyone else get these kind of people? Sometimes, and they rage when I beat them with a normal character an they have an UNLIMITED AND STYLISH charachter
BlackYakuzu94 Posted September 26, 2013 Posted September 26, 2013 Sometimes, and they rage when I beat them with a normal character an they have an UNLIMITED AND STYLISH charachter This makes it hilariously karmic for them: "You picked an Unlimited character? Doesn't mean you're going to beat me >:D"
Dark Ranger88 Posted September 26, 2013 Posted September 26, 2013 People who RQ in ranked seriously tick me off. I must have lost at least over 100 PSR by people rage quitting when I'm about to win (or during my character's winpose :/). Like, you don't even have a red name. Why are you rage quitting against me? I don't even try to do anything flashy or humiliating. I don't even corpse beat. It's always people with kinda high PSR that do it too. You'd think people with that much experience could take a loss or have some respect for the game, but nope.

You'd think people with that much experience could take a loss or have some respect for the game, but nope. Well, you see, the way you GET high PSR... What if they suddenly need to take a dump? EVERY MATCH? Turn the game off, boy, and spend some time in the men's room. Or the pharmacy. Good lord.

Ventus Tatshima Posted September 26, 2013 Posted September 26, 2013 people calling other players challenge mode scrubs when they get hit into a combo
Luminos564 Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 The only time I have an issue with Rage Quitters is in Ranked. Probably because of how ineffective the system is at discouraging it. "Connection lost? Well then, punish both parties, regardless of who was the one at fault". I wouldn't even care if they RQ if I knew they'd be the only ones to suffer the consequences. But nope. I apparently have to shoulder the stain of "quitting", even though I did no such thing. Now, if they RQ in a Player Match however, now that's a whole other can of cuttlefish. I actually enjoy those. Bonus points if they had their precious mic on and were talking smack, only to quit like some self-important twit who got their ego bruised XD.
Argent Zero Posted September 29, 2013 Posted September 29, 2013 (edited) When a low-level enters the room and you come up with two hypothesis: 1) Oh a beginner, I should take it easy so they don't feel bad. 2) Huh, a low-level entering a high-level room (ei, level 12 entering a level 58's room, level two only had two matches, while the other has over 9000 matches). Must be either a fool or a wolf in sheep's clothing. Regardless, no mercy. Match starts, you realize you're assumption was wrong. You either feel surprised that this low-level is truly a veteran or you feel mortified that this low-level is truly a novice and you just destroyed him without giving him a chance. The latter seems to happen too often; I end up skewering a new player, then called some horrid names and blame everything on either lag, character specs, etc. They get to spew what they want to say, leaves and block all form of communications so that you can't say anything back. I would say I didn't know, but then again how can I know...? It's really not a pet-peeve but a question of online etiquette. Do you go easy on the lad only to be called a bastard because you're "toying" with him or thrash the opponent only to be called a bully for not giving 'em a chance. TD Posted September 29, 2013 Posted September 29, 2013 You should be able to tell the difference in the first 5 seconds. Give or take. Especially if you have a lot of matchup knowledge. How do they start the round? Are they moving correctly? If they hit you, did they do the optimal combo? Is their pressure revolver action or tricky? So much is revealed about a person, and quickly too, if you know what to look for
Kenrou.Horo Posted October 5, 2013 Posted October 5, 2013 People who stick around only as long as it takes to beat you. People who repeatedly lose to you in ranked and proceed to speed restrict you out, as if it was the lag's fault. Sorry, but it's no amount of lags fault that you only know how to dp, or you keep trying to mash out of meaties. I'm a makoto player and I was able to play just fine.
Ventus Tatshima Posted October 6, 2013 Posted October 6, 2013 getting kicked for doing ONE purple grab... really?
Solless Posted October 6, 2013 Posted October 6, 2013 Getting completely bogged down and rush down by another player, and then during the last match I jump and hold back to block his lambda's dash attack (I forget that attack name) and somehow it connects. Not sure how since Hakumen's feet were at least at normal head height off the ground, and no attack buttons were hit. I still don't know how the hell I got beat right then.
BlackYakuzu94 Posted October 6, 2013 Posted October 6, 2013 I think I found a new pet peeve; people who leave after getting beaten once in a streak. Its the like the concept of losing has never occurred to them and can't stand when some better actually shows up.

Its the like the concept of losing has never occurred to them and can't stand when some better actually shows up. Funny thing; I've found myself in winning streaks before where I was getting a bit tired and wanting to leave, then as I'm reaching critical "That's enough for now," mass, I get beaten. It's happened multiple times. Usually when I play online, I only want to play a few matches, if that. So awkwardness like this always ensues.

Myoro Posted October 7, 2013 Posted October 7, 2013 Here's a new one, people who know the exact specs of their grabs. My friend plays both Lambda and Haku, and he knows their grabs down to the last pixel their hitbox has. as a result occasionally when I poke at his Lambda with Relius' 5B (even from max range) he'll be like "Supriiiiise! force grip muthachuckaaaa!" and for whatever reason Relius just warps into his grab, for a grab counter. Then when he's playing Hakumen it gets really ridiculous. He's managed to land airgrabs on me while I was behind him! While it's a nuisance i can still contend with him, so it's not that bad. (I just wish I knew what kinda black majiks he uses to be able to do it so frequently...)

I'm not gonna say everyone is like that, but I get that sinking feeling that's exactly what happens. Here's a new one, people who know the exact specs of their grabs. You better start learning how to tech those grabs before the 24th, otherwise you're gonna be find a lot of pain from Hakumen in CP.
someonewhodied Posted October 7, 2013 Posted October 7, 2013 Or the inverse of that, people that run away and spam projectiles so you can't get in. Sounds like someone is mad at me ☜(゚ヮ゚☜) But I really hate people that refuse to adjust when you punish things that don't work multiple times. "no way he's gonna do that again." "WTF!!!!????"
