Airk Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 Another pet-peeve of mine is when someone loses to you then says that it doesn't count because you're not playing the game right or being cheap (then they kick you/leave). I USE MAKOTO!!! How is that cheap??? I have gotten some of the HATIEST hate mail for using TSUBAKI. The one I -especially- remember was from a Hazama player, and it's like "Dude, you have pretty much every conceivable advantage in this matchup, STFU."

It's not surprising that some release their rage on their opponent when losing. In those situations, it's better to laugh it off without taking it personally.

I USE MAKOTO!!! How is that cheap??? Underboob is distracting as heck. Also, I don't think I've ever been kicked because of what character I use. I've been kicked because my Player level may have been a bit too high at the time, but I don't mind that, they don't know that I'm actually a giant fraud.

Any hate mail received for using a character would/should only be directed to Kokonoe, Tager and Hakumen really. Why would you get mad at a mid-tier character like Tsubaki? A pet-peeve of mine is AFK. Because the moment they come back and the time is almost up, they get that good combo and win the match, while I have waited there for about 60 seconds and I didn't even use 5A once.

I thought that stuff was reserved specifically for Noel, lol. But yeah, a big pet peeve of mine is when people refuse to play you because you play X character Noel. Back in CSII and Extend - and even a bit in CP as well - people have refused to play me, or have gotten extremely angry with me because I use Noel. I've gotten used to it though, I've learned that pretty much almost everyone hates Noel in one way or another.

I played her for the last couple months of EX and had fun. It's those Noel players though. Or should I say player. It's like it's one persons on every single account playing every Noel at the same time. No matter what situation you place them under they react the same exact way and never stop. I avoided her in EX because the Tsubaki vs Noel matchup was fuck all. Izayoi vs Noel is a lot more manageable. So I'll actually play Noel's when I see them... usually. I hate the people who play her the way they do. Not the char herself.

Like I fought this Noel in arcade lobby and no matter how many times I punished him with Mu's normal, he kept trying to do the same stupid nonsense that didn't work the first three times.
Dazardz Posted January 25, 2014 Posted January 25, 2014 Only bad experience I've had with Noel so far is on ranked match, a Noel spamming 2D. It was laggy, and Kagura's stage can't handle lag that well. Also, he skipped the intro. So yeah, I couldn't beat that 2D and I got killed pretty quickly. I did get hate mail for using an 'unblockable loop' with Nu. Like, WTF!? I swear the guy couldn't block, I found out that he was talking about me constantly using 5D from far range whenever I knocked the guy down, because he just never blocked!

She's just so dumb, oh my god... 50/50 mixup during drive that you don't even get rewarded for blocking? Ugh...

mAceOfHearts Posted January 25, 2014 Posted January 25, 2014 Maybe ´´invincibility`` was the wrong word. I was refering to how most of them dodged some kind of attack, like how 6D shrinks her hitbox and 2D lifts it.

She's supposed to be the character that's easy to get into the game with, for beginners who don't know combos, while at the same time still being a viable character to use at a higher level. She shouldn't be able to cancel into her other drive moves on whiff, she can still have the specials though. Cause assault through is the move designed for evasion. If this was the case, Noel's would have to get smarter about their general playstyle

Still fighting that CS2 voice though... ugh. Being deaf is a prerequisite for Noel players. That or playing on mute all the time. Jokes aside, her drive moves aren't that annoying, but her braindead damage kinda bugs me. On topic, is it the cool thing now for asswipe 0's to come sit on your station when you've got a win streak going and say 'AFK' when you ask them to pls leave/no thx? I guess Arksys never though they would need to add a kick option for winner's side, but they forgot this game was coming stateside. =( I just leave, but it bugs me that you gotta let trolls have their way.
NecroTheReaper Posted January 25, 2014 Posted January 25, 2014 The only thing I have an issue with Noel (and a few other characters) is their ease of side swapping mid combo. Pisses me off every time I manage to get Valk into the corner just to have him mash on me once and now its me in the corner

I feel the same way about Mu though...run up 5C/j.2C spam > face roll > 4k+. I know people choose characters for so many different reasons, but I find it so hard to respect them afterwards. I feel like I should play them in Stylish mode.
NecroTheReaper Posted January 25, 2014 Posted January 25, 2014 That seems more matchup specific than character specific though, cuz I don't have a terrible time vs Mu. Her damage has always been high, luckily not 8k high like in Extend.
