mAc Chaos Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 In the player lobby you can select player list when you start that displays a replay-like list of your win/loss matches.
BenignPacifist Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 Why do people get so terribly bent out of shape about purple throws. I fought two good people and as soon as I get a purple throw off, they get trolly an start talking shit. I get that it can be considered a netplay tactic, but its still just a purple throw. If I get purple thrown, I just start expecting it, not tranform into an asshole and completely disregard the other person's skill. If people can tech green throws online, why cant you tech purple throws?

Honestly when it happens to me I just do pushups, purple throw dojo baby. 10 pushups for every time I let one hit me.
BenignPacifist Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 When it happens to me, I wise up, and expect them from then on out. I really dont think they're a huge deal.
StylisH Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 ...She's not a brunette, that means "girl with brown hair."; Unless you're asserting she bleaches her hair. But she's ALSO clearly not an albino, because she has a TAN. People, learn what words mean before you use them. -_-I... don't believe I've found this function yet. @_@ My apologies. I wasn't aware of your sponsorship concerning animated female grooming and fashion. I`ll try to be more cautious in the future...
TD Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 if you still cannot react to purple grabs after it was used once or even up to three times, in any sort of lag barring the unplayable sort (why are you still playing), delay excluded, you have no one to blame but yourself. it's not that powerful, kids. come on. you really shouldn't be getting purple thrown the first time but it can happen. honestly l believe purple grabs have more to do with attention, rather than reaction.

Completely agree. It just appalled me how disrespectful people get over a purple throw. It's really not that strong.
D.R.F. Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 It is no where near strong no one should WANT to grab someone with a purple grab unless they are trolling. Why would you want to give someone more time to tech out?
Dark Ranger88 Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 Completely agree. It just appalled me how disrespectful people get over a purple throw. It's really not that strong. Â I think that people get assholish and trolly because they think YOU are disrespecting them for even trying a purple throw. Â It could actually be insulting to their skill for you to have thought, "Yeah I'll try a purple throw on this guy. He won't be good enough to tech it." And their taunting and stuff afterward could be their way of saying, "I'm insulted that you thought that shit would work on me :p" Â ---------------------- Â Another possibility is that they are trying to guilt you into abandoning purple throws, to help you get better.
Niko Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 Why do people get so terribly bent out of shape about purple throws. Â Because it's not a strategy you would use on serious opponents or in a tournament setting, so you're essentially communicating "I'm not taking you seriously" to the person you're fighting. If it works, by all means, keep doing it -- you should play to win, and if they can't tech, that's their problem. But at the same time it should be obvious to anyone who isn't completely absorbed in their own personal bubble why using such antics could be considered disrespectful/trolling by the other party.
BenignPacifist Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 it should be obvious to anyone who isn't completely absorbed in their own personal bubble why using such antics could be considered disrespectful/trolling by the other party. Â That's a strong thing to say. If I were absorbed in a bubble, I wouldn't have asked to begin with. It makes sense, I just never looked at it that way. If there's a tactic I'm losing to that I have an option to help/prevent, whether it's with disrespectful intentions or not, I take it in as data to work on improving the next match. Â It may not be seen often, but that doesn't mean it's not done period. The fact that it's rare makes it all the more viable mixup option. You can also catch people mashing with it as well, though I guess if they're mashing, it may not be considered pro level play to some. Some people aren't above mashing regardless. You never know, so why not try it and see. People who do take it with disrespect could try to look at it from that aspect too, so I wouldn't assume anyone is absorbed in a bubble.
mAc Chaos Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 purple throw is a legit tactic to call out mashing.
Monarch Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 Purple grabbing is a good way to catch someone mashing burst,
Ventus Tatshima Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 purple throw is a legit tactic to call out mashing. THANK YOU!!! SOMEONE WHO GETS IT. lol
Myoro Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 Relius purple throw loop the only legit tactic to get 7000+ damage Ignisless, but it will never not be a dirty tactic.
Myoro Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 Yeah, you do a purple throw  and if they're slow to react and it goes through you can grab them again on the way down to the ground as they bounce up once, and it'll be a throw reject miss. You can cycle this as many times as you can until they stop trying to throw break a throw reject miss. It's very dirty.
Monarch Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 Reminds me of Tsubaki's loop in CSE: 6C>JC>Grab>repeat And then SMP came along and ruined everything. ;_;
Myoro Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 Relish can just lightly float over the ground and throw you infinitely for maximum lols.
Airk Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 My apologies. I wasn't aware of your sponsorship concerning animated female grooming and fashion. I`ll try to be more cautious in the future... Â Actually, it's just called "English" and "What words mean" but you can be snarky about it if you feel embarassed.
Airk Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 Relish can just lightly float over the ground and throw you infinitely for maximum lols. Â Couldn't Litchi just do: Â Air throw > Air Throw > Air Throw > Infinity in like... CS2?
ReynTime180 Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 Maybe not online specific, but when you try to point out flaws in your opponents gameplay so you can help them improve and they flip the fuck out and get salty
mAc Chaos Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 You can actually do the air grab loop with Haku in CP now. My friend did it by accident when he was like 1 pixel off the ground and my jaw hit the floor.
