Sadeyo Posted June 6, 2014 Posted June 6, 2014 Is this a thing with Asia's netplay scene? I haven't had this once and I'm always light blue, or the times I played on alts. I've probably challenged the Asian community a little bit longer then you but it's quite infamous with how often they do it. I'm calling color discrimination since I deal with it almost every week, there are some players that will make an exception and with considerable skill they'll accept more. If the fight is too one-sided they'll normally leave the cab ashamed they lost to a color less than them. Isn't the purpose of improving is to challenge those better then you? Choosing the right color pallete online seems to be my ultimate challenge. I want to be recognized by a certain pallete, but every time I think I have one that I like, another looks better to me. White palette used to be my thing for all the Blazblue's but that didn't quite carry over to well into CP. Now I just choose something that looks pretty cool and stick with it.When players decide to guess who you are you can recognize them (or yourself) by their palette.

Niko Posted June 6, 2014 Posted June 6, 2014 Playing on my friends profile who's a dark green and having yellow + colors turn you down on matches even if the connection is a 2+. You have nothing to lose, bad enough you're judging people skill on color. Patch this shit out so people can stop being so full of themselves! It's the other way around for me. I somehow obtained a fraudulent orange box, and people usually expect me to play better than I do!

People thought I was some godly Mu player. I'm like 'Um...I flail a lot. I'm still really learning'. Another pet peeve: Mu mirrors. I hate them so much.

It's like...well it just depends on who can flail with C moves the most. I was very salty when I lost to a Mu in ranked. I ran it back but still...that matchup...

Besides Tager mirrors, anyway. 2 Bullets using drive (not sure what that looks like), Tagers magnetized invincible forward back dashes with 720s, Arakune curse or lose battles, Inferno Divider clashes, Hazama phallic, poking troll matches, Tsubaki (me) odd charge stare downs as in do it too or rush confusion, Azrael double come at me bro etc, Bang Mirrors suddenly have P4U amounts of dialogue-- self navigating. New pet-peeve: Colored squares in a specific situation: I was playing a light blue in the online lobby and of course they're like you're strong. I tell them I've been getting bodied all day; I suck. They seemed to be having fun and so to be encouraging without trolling/autopilot, I decide to play every character I don't use at all because I can still win. Too bad when my day 0 Amane loses a few (the second badly) I'm like, ugh, I can't use him anymore. That's when I want to play Carl too.

My pet peeve is playing fine at one moment but when i play the majority of my friends i turn scrubby as fuck and get called free. What's the term/archetype for the character who gets looked as a joke by their friends but does okay when not around them aka doing their own thing?

I get pretty pissed when i sit on a cabbie for 10+ minutes. In a lobby with 40+ people, and not a single person wants to play me.

Myoro Posted June 6, 2014 Posted June 6, 2014 I can't stay pink for the life of me, so me going back to blue intentionally (Or green rather, cuz that's my favorite color) would hold a bit of a sad undertone. It'd be a bit less like "Yeah! **** the system!! who needs colors!!?" and more like "I couldn't beat the system even if I wanted to so I'm not trying..." I'm not a quitter, so when I can keep my pink status for a good long time then I'll give it up. When I do de-rank myself it will be AS A CHAMPION!

I remembered watching a Japanese match and it was just downright obnoxious.
