SixWingedAngel Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 Finished the story yesterday generally it was really great, if not the best bb story as of yet. The main characters got to be very developed and there was much more involvment in the MAIN story by many side characters of the cast (with even fewer plot divice characters) The middle part was the hype (great buildup) but I felt like the climax (specificlly the final moment after the highlander) was a bit off (lol continuation cliffhanger) and rushed (the only really bad thing in the story). I hope we get some continuation/semi-conlcusion with bbcp2 and that the whole story is wrapped up as it has to in the next installment. Still, I dont get why some people tend to hate on the story? I find it amazing (surely not perfect but way more than anyone could ask for in a fighting game). There are two things (among others) that I didn't understand though so here goes: 1) Didn't Rachel send Ragna back to phase 0 (that is, the Six Heroes story) to essentially become Bloodedge? If so, we see that when Noel brings Ragna back, he is of course jacketless and unarmed (cause he has given his jacket and sword to past celica). Shouldn't Ragna's jacket and sword be lost forever then? I don't get how he got to have new ones by the next scene (or does he have like, a whole closet full of jackets and swords back at NOL headquarters?) 2) From what I understoo, Take-Mikazutchi needed 4 more years to fire another shot since CT, but the Imperator used Nu as it's core to charge it up. If so, when Ragna removed Nu from Take's core, how come it could still fire a shot capable of perhaps destroying amaterasu? I guess these are more of a clarification/understandment things that anything else thanks
Master Of Chaos Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 1) Never explained. 2) Take-Mikazutchi didn't fire another shot after Ragna freed Nu. Are you sure you're not a little confused?
Luminos564 Posted August 5, 2014 Posted August 5, 2014 For the Take-Mikazuchi issue, the way I understood it, since it was brought down to Earth where seithr is in abundance for it to feed on, it is able to fire more often. Izanami herself suggests as such. I always figured she placed Nu-13 inside the core as a defense mechanism in case someone got the bright idea to go for its core (which is exactly what happened). What I do not understand is why Izanami is able to make Ragna's Azure Grimoire go haywire? We've never seen such a thing happen before. Sure, Terumi could cancel it out with his own and Celica naturally suppresses it (unless the Idea Engine kicks in). Quite curious considering Ragna spent the middle part of CP story trying (and managing) to keep it under control on his own. Or am I misunderstanding something?

Nu literally stabbing Ragna in the back probably has something to do with it.
SixWingedAngel Posted August 5, 2014 Posted August 5, 2014 Thanks for the clarification, I had kind of forgotten that detail about seithr and take-m~ I hope they get to solve the freakin jacket issue sometime in the future, lol
Zedar90 Posted August 5, 2014 Posted August 5, 2014 Thanks for the clarification, I had kind of forgotten that detail about seithr and take-m~ I hope they get to solve the freakin jacket issue sometime in the future, lol The only explanation for the jacket and sword that I can think of is that Ragna found the Jacket and Sword from the Ragna(CT) and took them with him. He did after all already have the sword and jacket when Celica meet Ragna inside the Black Beast. In other words: Ragna from CP's jacket and Sword got left in Celica's care which than would get stuck in the CT loop. Ragna from CP would then pick up the sword and Jacket inside the Black Beast that the Ragna from CT possessed when he became the Black Beast.
SixWingedAngel Posted August 5, 2014 Posted August 5, 2014 Bloodedge's jacket transcends the space/time continuum, lol
Shinhwa Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 So... what's up with that heart warming smile from Ragna from the new CG revealed for Lambda's arcade mode? O.O
BlackYakuzu94 Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 Ragna's smile is so amazing that it turns him into a bishonen instantly.
kylehyde Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 I keep picturing that's the image they will use when they kill him, kind of like "everything's cool, don't worry you just killed me, I'm going to a better place" pic. sorry for the double post
Shinhwa Posted August 13, 2014 Posted August 13, 2014 Ragna's smile is so amazing that it turns him into a bishonen instantly. And this is why he attracts more girls :p
Narroo Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 Can we get a link to this? I can't find it on youtube or NicoNico.

Monarch Posted September 13, 2014 Posted September 13, 2014 Quick question, what exactly happened to Tsubaki after Izayoi's true form was released? Does she get to change form at will, and was she lifted from whatever spell she was in?
mAc Chaos Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 Did anyone ever compile the arcade victory quotes for CP? You know, the stuff the characters say after they win.

Also not my work, but it's the best I've found on such short notice.

Also not my work, but it's the best I've found on such short notice. I compiled all those and maintain the journal. I've been meaning to finish up the win quotes but I only recently got my PS3 back and I've been kind of lazy haha. I'll try to finish in the next few days.

I was actually wondering what happened with all that. Still, don't you find it odd that Bullet's commentary with Valkenhayn is at odds with her behavior towards him in Arcade mode? With Makoto vs Izayoi, the commentary for the latter could be taken as her being Tsubaki instead of a sword for Izzy as in the Arcade event. What's Bullet's excuse?
Master Of Chaos Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 As I remember, Bullet's apparent racism towards beastkin only shows up in her encounter with Valkenhayn in her arcade. It's really strange. Win qoutes don't always reflect story 100%, so take them with a grain of salt in regards to canon. That being said... Rachel win vs. Makoto Such classy attire you've chosen to wear to the battlefield. Though I truly feel sorry for you... as your only talent seems to be showing your skin. SHOTS FUCKING FIRED.

She's less hostile towards him, true, but it's not like she's being nice to him. She might also be behaving more aggressively in her arcade mode because of Takamagahara's phenomena intervention.
