If you want a buffed Terumi, play Hazama. On a serious note, I can't see how he's bad since all I see coming from him is damage. Amane, Izayoi and Bullet could be a bit better but their current forms all have some great potential. They just need a few changes to be great.

Seeing as how Makoto has the worst matchups across the board and is generally considered the worst character in the game for the second version in a row, buffs should start there. Then again, I'm expecting the hat trick here instead of a competitive character if the patch comes with balance updates for the cast (instead of just the console characters).

What I'm saying is, they better not nerf Azrael. >.>

Terumi is a complete different character from Hazama, I really dislike it when people say "Just play Hazama if you think Terumi's too weak." He isn't the same, the character deserves attention just like all the others. He's pretty bad, he's got no safe way to get in, no meterless reversals, and a pretty wonky mixup game, among other things. I'm not asking for top tier, but he definitely needs stuff.

General consensus is that Amane, Izayoi, and Bullet are all pretty suck tier, and they generally don't do to well in match play these days. If anyone needs buffs it's them lol. I don't doubt that Makoto needs some buffs though, get around to it ASW. Generally I don't have too many problems when I decide to bring out my sub Makoto, but I don't do it too often so what do I know.

Yeahhhhh don't nerf Azrael, he deserves a reward for being our Anti-Kokonoe character these past few months.

Well if everyone had the same 5B it'd get kinda boring, though I get what you're saying. Makoto I wouldn't say is bottom of the barrel, but she could use some buffs. Maybe buffed hitbox for her DP and some very slight speed increases to her key normals.

He has almost no mix-ups to open people up with. His command grab can easily be 2A'd or jumped out of on reaction and his only standing overhead costs 50 heat with a highly visible super-flash included. All he has left is normal grabs and j.2D gimmicks. You can literally down-back your way out of a situation if you've seen his gimmicks enough. He's like vanilla P4A Liz. Lots of damage, lots of meter, not much else.

It was a joke. C'mon son, how you gonna play the troll king and be trolled yourself? Anyway, his normals look pretty good and his lack of meterless reversals is negated by the fact that his meter gain is unparalleled and his reversal super is pretty decent. Also, damage. Compared to other characters, he's decent.

Also, Azrael definitely isn't an answer to Koko. It didn't take long for the community to get around Growler without trying.

Well, they aren't. They're stubby and don't do him many favors but I guess they could be a lot worse.

It gets worse when you fight characters with wide normals like Ragna, Mu or Hakumen.

Well yeah. Unless you're Slenderman, your legs will generally cover more range than your punch. You just suicided for no raisin.

Lets give mu a special stein that fires like a normal one but only when you press a special command and it only command the stein which means you can do it during a combo without cancelling an attack (sort of like Carl and Ada). Oh god the combo video material. Oh god the oki. Please. I want this.

That sounds so broken lol. Though I do wish they would give her another move that involved her steins. Maybe a move that does something with a certain numbered stein on the screen depending on your input. It would really force you to remember what order/formation you have on the screen. Ikutachi was really cool and all, but it pretty much only exists as a combo piece or ghetto gtfo of the corner move.

I just want SOMETHING flashy for one of my characters. I feel like I've exhausted every combo idea i can come up with. Well, i am working on one more Nu CMV but i think i've exhausted all my ideas. I mean I've got a combo with mu that sets a stein backwards, and continues with forward corner carry. What more is there to do.

Even though I am unsure of the whole balance patch thingie, but the one thing, the ABSOLUTE ONE THING I would change about Bang is 6C hitting crouchers.

Makoto is suck tier. You are doing good because Makoto learning curve is almost none existing and not because she is good. You can sub Bullet and do almost the same or better.

I Dunno too, say if Goro or Matsu would leave Makoto and switch to Bullet, I think they can reach 17 Dan and higher level with her too. Maybe Makoto attracts more players with her super kawaii desu status which makes it easier for her to have top players. Sorta like how Platinum has a lot of top players despite how bad she is. Also, Tsubaki had almost no players above 14 Dan, suddenly Konan senpai hits 17 Dan in a blink because he is just really good.

It's kind of like basically 0 top players playing Amane. You've got Shima and Jirou afaik but neither of them are huge names. NO was something like 16dan back when he was playing Bullet as an alt iirc, and 0 seems to be performing quite well currently.

But then there's Goro, who is to Makoto mains what Ryo is to us Relius mains. A mighty god of sorts.

Out of all the pro's I've seen, Goro uses Makoto to her highest potential, and while Makoto may not have much, he seems to make every bit of her count. I've yet to see an exceptionally capable Bullet, but I think she may be something scary in the right hands (I can't wait to see a burst get blocked by afterburner's projectile armor.) I think with the upcoming balance patch, and a little luck, we'll see some deadly Bullets.

New balance patch you say? LET THE TAGER BUFFS COMMENCE!!!:toot:

So I was right about the timing of the american release coinciding with the realease of a new balance update after all. Hopefully the balance patch is included for the american release just like the vita version or available for download very soon after.

It's cute that you think Tager's low tier curse will be broken by something as simple as a patch. If that really is your hope you better make a few ritual sacrifices to your luck god of choice.

But yeah, if the patch is coming to the PS3 in April as someone here theorized, that means the American version will not have it included, as it comes out in march and must be operating Identically to the Japanese version for Netplay reasons.

Edit: Wow, sorry, I really did just come and rain on your parade with this post.:v: I hope I'm wrong about all of this, so you can get your buffs and we can get our patch.

lol, its cute that you actually think Tager is still low tier now...:keke: Anyway Tager gets buffed and better in every update since CT, the problem is that he is just never buffed enough as he should be.

Info I have still places him pretty low, despite his vast improvements in CP, is that wrong? What I'd meant in my earlier is that awful things tend to happen to the guy, and with his matchups against half the cast still being tear inducingly sad (I'm talking mu-12 here.) and Koko's drive being of greater utility in nearly every way while still maintaining a magnetism gimmick, I'm completely convinced that the Devs hate him. But we can both agree he needs to get buffed some more, but I'm not optimistic.

Pleased with what I'm hearing so far.

I'm just hoping of none of that Narukami P4U2 stuff where he got some stuff taken away, some stuff added = still top tier.

Well it won't be Koko getting buffed that is confirmed from the change list alone.

I also can't see them being crazy enough to buff Valk/Haz/Tao etc. I am more concerned with one of the now low tiers catching a huge buff and rocketing up the tiers (Izayoi?).

Also Tager is and always should be shit.
